Training the Kid (Izzy, Kyte)

Yang remained dumbfounded. She had no idea that Bow's parents had died in the way that they had. Bow had never told her...probably because she didn't even remember. But that didn't stop Yang from wondering how crappy of a friend she really was.

She looked down and started pulling out little pieces of grass with her fingers. She was nervous, obviously. Because she had no idea what to do. She had enough money to do anything in the world and she'd never once stopped to ask Bow if she wanted professional help. That's...pretty sad, honestly. "I uh..." She was totally lost.

Bow nuzzled into Kyte's chest and nodded when he agreed that she didn't have to do anymore today if she didn't want to. In all honesty, she had forgotten Yang was even there until she heard her spoke. The little girl's eyes went wide and her heart froze for a long moment before starting to pound in her tiny chest and she trembled even more. "I-I sowwy, Yang!!" She never wanted for her best friend to find out about that. The little one gasped for air and clung to Kyte's shirt for dear life, trying to disappear. Only a small handful of people knew about her past, or lack thereof, and that's the way it was supposed to stay. She didn't want to bring anyone down with her history, so always tried to stay strong.

The girl looked up at Kyte with sapphire blue eyes that leaked down her cheeks. "S-say something better..." She didn't know what she was trying to say, so she was leaning on her fiancé to explain the situation with a little more... finesse.

She sighed and shook her head, covering his mouth if he did try to say anything, or covered it anyway just as a precaution. The little girl should be the one to explain this to her best friend. "Th-that night... b-bad... S-sorry no tell you... I-I no want you feel bad..." She growled, trying to speak through sobs. All she was trying to do was say that she didn't want Yang to feel bad about not knowing, because she was the one that didn't tell her. The little girl didn't know how to word what she was trying to say though. She was just trying to take all the weight off of Yang. And pushing it on herself like she always did, starting to cry uncontrollably again as the burning sensation in her head wouldn't stop.

Yang sighed and pulled Bow into a hug. Maybe if it was actual fire-based energy she could absorb it like she used to. Or at least she hoped she could still do that. "Listen, Bow, it's not a big deal. You didn't remember either so it's not your fault." She looked up at Kyte in confusion. She had absolutely no idea what was going on still.

Bow was about to cling to Kyte when she was pulled into Yang's lap instead. It didn't matter whose lap it was though, they were the two people she loved most in this world. Her fiancé and her best friend. The tiny one sobbed into her chest and gripped onto her shirt with all her might, trying to focus on extinguishing the flames within her mind.

As she calmed down, she grew heavier in the woman's arms, and soon, they would both hear her cute little snoring. All of this training and then exploding had been tough on her mind and body, and thus she had finally succumbed to her own exhaustion and passed out in Yang's arms.

Yang sighed. "Or ya know, maybe it'll make it worse on her. Hell of a coin to flip, isn't it?" She picked Bow up as she got to her feet rather easily. "C'mon. We should probably get her back home. No point sitting in a field for however long she'll be asleep." She would once again need Kyte to drive...but if she was holding Bow then she would have to stay awake for the ride. Crap.

Bow sleeps peacefully in Yang's arms.

She chuckled. "That'll be our dynamic from now on. I'll be the realist, you be the optimist. OK?" She closed the door and waited for Kyte to get in, patting Bow's back gently as she slept. "So nothing negative can ever come out of your mouth again while I'm here, got it?"
