So, I've wanted to be a moderator on this forum for a very, very long time. I love being here and I love working with the people here. Because of that, I wanted to make this thread to kind of push me into the scene. The idea of this actually arose from a friend of mine, who stated that nothing happens until it is openly pushed upon them. So, I am openly pushing this directly into your guys' faces. I know that isn't the most beloved way to handle something like this, but regardless, here it is.
The first thing I want to talk about is the actual need for a new moderator on the forum. The main thing that sparks this is, well, applications. With the influx of new members we have been receiving (which is wonderful I might add!) we have an influx of applications as well. Our newest members spent about a week in the light blue camp, not to mention my good buddy Amon had Charissa in the Character Creation center.
This application was completed on NOVEMBER 26th. That is entirely unacceptable, in my humble opinion, for no one to reach the app in TWO MONTHS. This is, in no way, me trying to bash on our current mods. If anything, I think that this is a very clear sign that the work load is too much for our current active staff, and new staff should be brought on board as a result while, in the background, the less active mods would be phased out over time. Again, I love our currently inactive mods, but as it is they are yellow without even being here. It's a slot that someone could be filling and working in, but there simply isn't anyone. I'm absolutely certain that there is something in their real life that gets in the way of their time here, so why not let someone who has absolutely no life outside of roleplaying and looking up gifs help out?
Self deprecating humor. Yay.

Anyway, I've spent a lot of time on this forum, four years in May as a matter of fact, and I've been consistently active. I've caused very few problems in recent memory (including a recent issue that I'm going to consider a bump in an otherwise well paved road), and I've striven to spend my time improving this site as a whole. Including a recent issue arising with Yang that will be resolved shortly in terms of balancing.
And the Yang haters rejoice
- Spoiler:
In the past I have been a moderator on two separate sites, and I have been roleplaying overall since late 2007. (Oh my god...I was 11...ew...) And, unfortunately, the drop in interest caused them both to fall into inactivity. It's a shame, it really is. In my time there I have learned how to deal with many issues in applications, I have learned to be patient when working with roleplayers who have their heart set on a certain theme, and I've learned to offer criticism to assist in making this theme a reality while adhering to the rules of that forum, even if at times I fail to acknowledge my own shortcomings in the design of my own characters.
Cough...Cough...Yang...Cough...
- Spoiler:
That being said, those are my qualifications. This is me making my desire to be a moderator very public. I love to work on these types of things, and I would love to add another to my nice sticky note sized list.
But I will also accept a personal group known as Gif Master.- Spoiler:
