Adjusting to this World. (open)

Grim was hit in the chest, and flew back and hit a nearby wall. The wall cracked.
"Goddamn Greenskin." He growled, he tapped something in his ear, "Octavius! Support required, and get my stuff down here."
Bright beams of light appeared and a suit of armor, and several weapons were on the floor. Grim began to quickly put it on.
"Octavius here. Greenskins have set up a base on the moon. I don't know how, but we're trying to dislodge them. One ship got past us." The communications officer said. "We cannot spare any support."
Grim frowned, "Understood."
He followed Joshua and Jay quite easily, he ran.

Shadow was almost expecting more danger in the presence of the aliens, so when the huge ship crashed onto the just-repaired street, she wasn't even surprised.

'God damn it,' she muttered. She was sick of these orc things. Why couldn't they all beat each other up and save everyone else the trouble?

Shadow flicked her whip out again, extended her wings and flew, ending up beside Jay, who was looking thouroghly confused. 'Now you get to see what else I can do. try and keep up.' Shadow was fired up now, and these enemies weren't going anywhere without a piece of her mind. A painful one, too.

As the first Greenskin came lumbering out of his ship, Shadow attacked. This time she wasn't bothering with clever strategies and distractions, she just flew down and swung her whip, wrapping it around the unfortunate orc's eyes and throwing him to the ground. She stepped back, leaving the groaning creature as a warning to his friends. 'So,' Shadow snarled, 'who's next?'

'Now you get to see what else I can do. try and keep up.'Shadow had said to Jay.
"So, that's how you want to play it huh?" Jay asked still hovering in the air watching Shadow taking out a green alien thing."note to self, don't get mixed up with alien species unless your prepared for more aliens." she sighed then dove toward the wreckage,wings pulled close to her body as she tackled another alien coming from the ship head on. The two of them went crashing to the ground from the impact but Jay skillfully leapt away from the huge creature who was clambering on his back like a turtle.
"Score one for shadow one for Jay!" Jay cheered happily, making a game of this obviously serious issue, well obvious to all but her.

"Oye ya freakin gits, get da door opin." Gorgutz yelled, ignoring the two winged females. The orc that fell to his back got up as soon as he heard his Warboss's order. The other one who was blinded by Shadow staggered up. "Ya ain't no use to me." Gorgutz said, raising his axe up and decapitating his fellow orc. The single orc lowered a large door and Gorgutz grinned. Primarch Joshua decended onto the streets, his jump pack humming. He looked at the blackness of the door and pointed his bolter out, setting it to kill.

"Na ya in fur a foight." Gorgutz said, lifting his axe up. "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!" Gorgutz yelled, his voice booming through the streets, shaking windows, doors, and the ground. He stopped and gave a crooked and wicked smile. Out from the darkness of the door a hundred orcs stepped out, each one with either an axe or a gun. They raised there axes and yelled. "WAAAAAAAAAAAGH!" There voices broke the windows, the street lamps, and the car window's glass. Joshua stood firm, he had heard this battle cry for hundreds of years. He crouched down, jumped up, and flew in the air for a brief second, he then went down to earth and landed in the middle of the horde sweeping his chainsaw blade at the orks.

"OF COURSE THEY HAVE BACK UP!"Jay roared over the orcs, frustrated beyond anything.
She had no weapons, just her wings, her street fighting skills and her bird talking ability.
She sighed deeply,Fine, I didn't want to get their help, but if I've got to." Jay flew into the air and flew quickly toward the ocean to rally the nearby seagulls.
She got there as quickly as possible and it usually only took one word, "Hey guys! FOOD!"
"Food?"
"Did she say food?"
Jay took off into the air and headed back to the fight with an army of seagulls and any other birds who happened to want to follow the huge army.
"Go get them! they have the food!" Jay yelled.
"GAH!" The birds all flew at the orcs and began pecking at eyes, faces, backs, anything.
It wasn't very effective, but it momentarily blinded, distracted, or scared the orcs. And the birds where so small, almost none got hit.
Jay admired her handiwork from above then dove down to help on ground using every street fight tactic she knew.

Shadow watched Jay's momentary cheerful mood quickly fade as the orcs shook the streets with their yells. Joshua and Grim looked unfazed, and Shadow's black mood wasn't going to let her cower away from a few noisy hunks of green and ugly.

Good thinking, Jay. The black angel silently approved her lighter-coloured companion's actions. Shadow was good at this sort of fighting, tricks and distractions creating openings for her attacks. Though her blind fury at the orcs had disappeared, she was still looking forward to some serious butt-kicking, her style.

'All right, you want a fight, big-and-ugly?' Shadow muttered under her breath. 'I just hope you're ready for my kind of fight.' She flew above the brawl erupting on what used to be a narrow alley, calling forth all the shadows around it. They wrapped around orc's legs, snatched weapons from their hands, covered their eyes and knocked them down from behind. Joshua, Grim and Jay found a horde of fairly easy targets facing them, and Shadow gave them a few minutes before she couldn't keep it up any longer. Knowing she would snap any second, she threw all her energy into a last charge from the seeping darkness, directed right at Gorgutz. The shadows hit him in the chest like a train, felling him for, hopefully, enough time for the others to strike at him.

Shadow sank to the ground, her wings drooping. That had taken a lot out of her. She was tempted to blend into the darkness like only she could, just rest for a few minutes, but she couldn't leave her friends out there to fight the orcs on their own. The tired but determined girl stood up, racing over to where her friends were facing a very angry Gorgutz.

Grim stopped near a few police men trying to stop the wave of Orks,
"Report!" He demanded,
"SWAT and Military forces are coming to reinforce this position, the others have gotten a good contain on the aliens!" One Police officer yelled over the gunfire,
"Good!" Grim replied, he contributed his own punishing gunfire.

Jay's head was beginning to throb from the extreme amount of noise around her. Her sensitive hearing was going to kill her at this rate, and her wings were beginning to ache from the constant take off and land routine to keep her from becoming a bird kid pancake. She just was not used to this kind of fighting.
Jay took down two more orcs, and later if you had asked her how she remembered hanging around ones neck, probably choking it and the other she wasn't sure. SHe collapsed to her knees taking in gulpfuls of air then ran over to help Shadow with her lot of orcs, but got stopped by a few more herself before she got there.
"I- HATE STINKIN-ALIENS!" Jay screamed emphasizing each word with a hard punch or kick to the orcs wildly lashing out at anything that moved at this point.

Gorgutz roared as he was knocked down into the ship. He slowly got up, cracking his jaw from the blow he had recieved. "Des umies are weird." He said standing up. Joshua was slashing wildly at the orcs, his chainsaw blade either cuting them in half while his bolter pistol fired explosive rounds into several orc's face. He was running out of ammo for his pistol and his chainsaw blade was starting to jam. His jump pack hummed and he was launched in the air, burning several orcs in it's ignition. He landed outside of the battle, kneeling down and touching a button that was on the ear of his helmet. "Drop pod, go to zone 28-38-31."

Out of the city and standing tall was the repaired Titan's tower. A drop pod was just outside the tower, on the shores of the little island. The pod's thrusters activated and launched itself into the sky.

Joshua watched the battle from afar, his visors acting like his buniculars. His drop pod slowed down as it decended to the ground, it thrusters red. The pod settled on the ground and opened up, laying a ramp down to the entrance of the pod. Joshua walked in and looked around at his various weapons he had made. He picked up a bolter with a 6 clip under barrel attachment of a grenade launcher. It was hard to make such a thing, especially having to lug the thing around. It was too heavy for a normal Astartes. He strapped it on his back and grunted some. He then picked up a heavy Machine gun and walked out of the pod.

The gun was the length of a 6ft tall adult human. He ran to the fight and knelt down behind cover next to Grim. "You might want to cover your ears." Joshua said jokingly. He laughed and settled the heavy machine gun ontop of the cover. He fired and the bolter rounds pierced through the orcs, forcing them to move back. He looked over at Jay and yelled. "Get down Jay!" His voice was like an atom bomb exploding. He fired when she got down, clearing the orcs infront of her. He then went back to the main horde.

Gorgutz watched and folding his arms. "Oye, get some weapies to da boyz." He yelled to the servant goblins, creatures that didn't have the strength to be born as orcs. The two tiny green things nodded and ran to the weapons vault. They came out with several guns and started piling them. Some orcs ran back to get the weapons, coming back to the battle armed and dangerous.

Shadow watched as Joshua opened fire with a machine gun longer than she was tall. Her attack on Gorgutz was what he had needed - a distraction so he could bring out some bigger weapons. She figured all she would be able to do now was get in the way, so she searched for something else to force the orcs back.

Her dark eyes narrowed as Shadow saw the pile of alien weapons just outside the ship. The last things they needed was orcs with more guns. 'Jay! Come help me!' Shadow called, soaring towards the little creatures that were stacking the guns. She had determined to take out the suppliers first, then get rid of the weapons that were already out here. As Jay flapped her way over, though, the darker-winged teenager changed her mind. 'Okay, Jay, see those goblin things? They're getting the guns out here. Can you take care of them?' Shadow asked in a rush. 'I'll make sure the stuff here is useless to the orcs,' she added.

Without waiting for Jay's reply, Shadow strode over to the orcs' weapons. She was gathering all the darkness she could along the way, preparing to crush the guns into a hunk of scrap metal. You won't be much use after this, Shadow told herself. Make it count. Using this many shadows at once, on top of the energy she'd just expended on her last attack, would weaken her powers for a while.

Jay had been punching wildly using every instinct of street fights to try to keep her butt alive when next thing she knew...
"Get down Jay!" well, more like she tripped and fell then actually got down.
She landed on the ground and thought for a brief moment about resting before she heard the distinct sound of ammo being unloaded at the orcs.
Not MORE guns! Jay thought irritably as she slapped her hands over her ears and tryed to crawl away from the scene of the orcs falling all over the place.
Can't they all just die or give up already?
Jay had barely gotten out off the way off the gun before Shadow was calling her over.
'Okay, Jay, see those goblin things? They're getting the guns out here. Can you take care of them?'Shadow more like instructed then asked.
Jay just stared at her with a "are you flipping kidding me look" for a moment before panting "yeah, no problem."
But apparently Shadow was already busy with the weapons they had dragged out.
Jay sighed and closed her eyes for a moment. I am so not doing this for a full time job!
She then turned to the goblin things and charged at them not yet sure how she would take them out.
They were coming out of the ship with a gun and when they saw her coming they paniced and dropped the weapon to run but Jay crashed into one before he had a chance. Then picking up the gun she aimed and, hoping she was using in right, shot at the other.
She nailed the other one in one shot.

Gorgutz jumped when Jay flew and crashed into the grunts. He growled when Shadow destroyed the guns. He wanted something to take his anger out of. He grinned and looked over at Jay. He quickly grabbed the back of Jay's head and slammed her down on the ground, slamming her head into the ground over and over. "You weird bird umiee is annoyin me." He grabbed her wing and threw her over at Shadow.

He went over to the armory and looked around. There were still weapons, but they were axes and knifes. He picked up some of the weapons and threw them out of the armory. Some orcs ran over, picking them up like a child recieving a gift. They ran back to the battle, yelling there battle cry.

Jay stood up feeling sick, yet incredibly angry at the same time.
He just threw me! She thought and her teeth clenched as the thought kept ringing repeatedly in her ears He threw me like a doll! BY THE WING!!
Jay stood though feeling shaky, and tried to to pull her wing back up to her side but gasped when pain shot through her shoulder. She grabbed her left shoulder and glared at the orc that had thrown her and felt rage build up inside her.
"You freaking MORON! You are gonna die!" she shouted.
On normal conditions, she would have just sat it out until her wing healed then came back to get revenge, but in normal conditions, a person wouldn't have thrown her. Normal conditions, aliens wouldn't be attacking. These were not normal conditions.
Jay charged at the alien, injured wing trailing behind her like a feathery cape. She dodged to one side to avoid an axe coming down on her.
I've decided I'm not making friends with aliens ever again! Jay thought angrily, because next thing you know, your planet is going to be destroyed!

Shadow dodged as Jay flew towards her. She ran over, but the blue-winged, incensed girl had already stood up. 'Jay...!' Shadow tried to warn her, but she was already charging at the huge orc. The darker teen tried to help, but as she formed her shadow whip, she saw it was weak and wispy.

Oh, crap. The guns. Just how much power did I use...? Shadow's frantic train of thought stuttered to a halt as she looked at the pile of once-weapons. What was now before her was a flat circle of completely squashed alien metal. And she'd seen for herself how durable Joshua and Grim's weapons were. Even if the orcs' guns weren't as advanced, that was one heck of an attack she'd just pulled off.

Shadow's eyes widened as she saw, or rather, sensed an orc in the darkness behind Joshua. She yelled a caution at him, more successful this time. Joshua spun around, slicing the monster with his chainsaw blade, then throwing himself back into the battle.

Using her shadow sense and trying to strengthen her whip at the same time was too much for Shadow. She fell on her side, her vision flickering for a moment. Get a hold of yourself! You have to help your friends! The order echoed round and round in her head, but as hard as she tried, Shadow could barely keep her wings out, let alone fight.

Joshua moved out of his cover, still firing at the greenskins. His heavy machine gun rapidly clicked, telling him that he ran out of ammo. Joshua set the heavy machine gun down and took out his bolter rifle with the 6 clip grenade launcher. This is a great day to see if this old thing still works he thought smiling in his helmet. He had once had a compitition with Primarch Ferrus of the Iron Hands in a contest of weapondry. Ferrus used his mighty hammer, given to him by Fulgrim. Joshua used the rifle with the grenade attachment. He lost by one target but won by destroying most of the battle ground.

He fired his bolter rounds first, hitting a few orcs in the head. He moved to Shadow and said. "Are you alright?" He asked Shadow, firing a grenade off into the crowd of orcs, sending pieces of them in the air.
