Common Room

Xzuk re-entered the tower... Alyss was no where to be seen....

"Alyss? You still here?"

He turned to set down his Les Paul and grabbed a mountain Dew before he sat on the couch.

Alyss heard Xzuk come in and she began to phase into a shadow again. She felt the cold feeling sweep over her body and she started to go transparent. She drifted through the floors and walls and reappeared in the Common Room.
"Yeah! I'm here! Look what I can do now!" she said, excitedly. She began to float in the air, her mood lifting her up. "I haven't exactly clarified this power yet. But i'm discovering new one's everyday!"
She punched her hand through Xzuk's head and laughed happily. "Sorry. I know that might hurt a bit."

"Did you just deck me in the face? What did I ever do to you?"

He smiled jokingly wiping his face with his shirt... it felt numb and cold...

Alyss smiled and stood back. She shut her eyes and felt the warm feeling over her again. She looked down at her hands and found herself totally flesh and blood.
"So, what did that feel like?" she asked.

"I'll show you..."

He smiled as he turned towards the fridge and got some ice water and began chasing Alyss.

"Slow down!"

Alyss screamed and laughed as he chased after her. She clenched her fist shut and she became a shadow quickly. She fell through the floor and swung round, appearing behind him.
"I like this new power." she said, smirking. She floated forwards and soared through him, smirking.

He did his best Shia scream and threw the water at her shadow.

"Ahahaha!.... Ugh.. my ribs hurt..."

He smiled and let himself fall back onto the floor and looked at the ceiling.

Alyss smirked and floated horizontally above him. "Seriously. I can fly!" she squealed, smiling widely.
She soared away from him and as she glided over the couch her powers faulted and she began flesh and blood again, falling clumsily onto her face.

"I was waiting for that part haha..."

Xzuk smiled and stood up getting a mountain dew.

"So. Titans South.."

Alyss rubbed her head and sat up, crossing her legs.
"Say wha? Oh right. Yes." she looked out of the window. "It's late now, we should set off tomorrow. Maybe we'll find good Shelter with them."
She stretched her legs out on the carpet, looking thoughtfully at the ceiling. "I found some of Sumi's swords today. Sorry, her room is nice. I like to hang out there when you're out. I can concentrate better. Which, subsequently is why I always sit on the floor. I find my concentration levels are fantastically higher on the floor than on a chair, or the couch. Anyway, the swords looked really cool, so I picked one up and....well, I don't really know what happened, but. Forgive me, but it just disintegrated in my hands. I turned black for a second them it just burst. I don't know whats happening to me, but I'm gaining new powers or going out of control or something."

These words weren't very comforting to Xzuk, and they weren't what he needed to hear... but he couldn't get mad at her for something she can't control.

"It's fine... It's not like she's gonna be coming back to check on her room."

He smiled a little but it faded quickly.

"I don't think there's any way I can help you with your powers. I'm not the most helpful person as is... and as you said... Even I lose control... and I'm not gonna give myself the oppertunity to hurt you."

He began to run his wrists under cold water to try and help the blood from his veins form a bruise. He hadn't had the chance to get to a hospital and have them drained.

Alyss looked at Xzuk's veins and sighed. "Can I help?" she asked. "What's wrong with them?"

"Truthfully, nothing. The veins are healing, but there's nowhere for the blood cells to go."

He turned and smiled.

"So, I'm killing them. Once they bruise up, they'll be gone in no time."

He put his cuffs on over the spots to keep her from worrying.

"I wonder if there is a way you could teleport using the shadows..."

He smiled thoughtfully, he hoped this would give her something to work at for tonight.

Alyss nodded. "I can already moved between shadows, it's quite fun. So lets see I can now: move between places, sort of float, walk through things when I'm a shadow, use the shadows and make dark copies of myself." She smiled. "That's a nice bunch. Would still like some healing powers please!"
She shut her eyes and started to concentrate. She felt her mind wake up and she opened her eyes again and looked deeply into the middle of the floor and began to think of a fear. She thought of spiders. Come on, come on.
Suddenly, from the centre of the floor several small spiders began to crawl around. Alyss smiled and touched one of the spiders, it was real. Not shadowy at all.

"That's kinda creepy..."

He smiled and turned back to his mountain dew.

"Any chance you could make me a baby t rex? I've always wanted to fight crime on one of those..."

He laughed a little... Thank God he didn't mind spiders or he would've screamed like a bitch.
