Common Room

Alyss looked down at the floor. She winced as her clothes rubbed the new marks, but she looked back up at Xzuk. "Are you ok?"

"Uhm.. Yeah... I.. I'm fine... No worries!"

He threw on a smile and sat back masking his thoughts...

He didn't even know what he was truly thinking...

Alyss narrowed her eyes. "Tell me Xzuk, I can hear them anyway." she said, folding her arms, protectively around herself.

"I can't. Not just yet anyway. I still need some time to think.."

He glanced away again..

"But I promise that I will tell you when I'm ready."

Alyss frowned. "Um, okay?" she shivered, cold all of a sudden. She stood up, gracefully for once and crossed to the sink, her hand on her hip, wincing. She ran the water and began to wipe away the blood until there were just the clean cuts that read 'FEAR' embedded in her skin. She traced the word, then lowered her shirt and wiped her hands. "I'm quite drained. I might get some rest, head down for the night."

"Feel free... I'll take the couch this time... wouldn't want you landing on your face again..."

He smiled and pushed the bangs from his face.. His arms were returning to a healthy color too... thank God..

Alyss smiled. "Thanks. Well, um. Sorry, and night, I guess." she went towards him for a second, a hand outstretched. But she quickly turned on her heel and headed for the bedroom. She'd had enough contact for one day. Even his, could be overdone. She still didn't enjoy it.
As she entered the room she shut the door quietly. She rummaged through a drawer and found an unused button up black shirt. She quickly slipped it on and it came down to her mid-thigh. She smiled and slipped under the covers, switching the bedside light on.

'Yeah..."

...G'Nite...

Xzuk sat up again thinking of Sumi and of Alyss... it was literally driving him insane... but he had to find a peaceful point between the two or he would simply never sleep again...

6 hours had passed and he wasn't the least bit tired...

Well... maybe...

He walked back to Kasumi's room and laid on the bed... his eyes finally shut and he got some rest...

But sadly, he awoke about three hours later... so he began his morning routine and started making pancakes.

(I'm actually sleeping now, Its 2AM in Ireland!)

(I know. I wont be up for a while either. G'nite ms. its 2AM ^_^)

Alyss woke up steadily, blinking in the sunlight. She had forgotten to close the curtains. It was just morning. 6.48AM, the shadows told her. She wandered out into the Common Room and saw Xzuk sleeping on the sofa. She smiled slightly, but decided not to wake him. She went to the huge window and sat down, staring out at the view in awe.

Xzuk had heard Alyss, but he also knew the sun was barely up, so he decided not to move very much...

"G'morning you."

He smiled hoping he wouldn't startle her too much.

Alyss turned slightly and nodded to him. "Morning."
She got up and sat down on the floor in front of him, chewing on her lip. "I was going to ask if we should start our move to Titans South. I need help as soon as possible."
She rolled up her sleeve and three more 'FEAR' marks were etched into her skin, freshly made. "She's awake now. And I want her to stay inside. I'll see if the Titans can help me, people do make such a big deal of them."

"We can leave whenever you're ready to. I've been thinking of reasons to not go... so... I think its time that I went..."

He sat up and threw on a shirt.

"They'll help us for sure though.."

Alyss spent the day lolling around in the common room, while Xzuk was at his concert, reading old titan cases and exploring the Tower. She entered Sumi's room at one point and saw the things she had collected. She flicked through the books on the shelf and sat down on the large bed, and laid back on the covers. She saw a finger scanner on the cupboard and tried to open the door, but it was tightly locked. She tried the finger scanner, but it denied her access. She sat, legs folded on the bed, staring at the cupboard. She began to think about her powers as she sat there. They could do anything with shadows, she could move between them. So maybe she could, become a shadow?
Alyss wondered this for a while before she began to try it out. She stared at her hands and began to concentrate hard. Her eyes spread out and turned black. She stared at her hands for five minutes before the tips of her fingers began to fade and become see through. She smiled and concentrated harder. Her entire hands were turned shadowy in a matter of seconds.
"I'm getting the hang of this." she smiled. Quickly the rest of her body began to fade. She wasn't invisible, but she wasn't really there.
She smiled before realizing that she was slipping through the bed. She tried to concentrate harder and she stopped moving down and could stand on the solid floor without slipping through it. She opened her eyes wider and she began to float in the air. This was amazing, she was flying! She smiled and began to walk through the walls surrounding the cupboard, ending up in the closet. She smiled and moved back out into the room and began to concentrate on becoming normal again. Her skin flushed warm for a second and she looked into the mirror, noticing she had become flesh and blood again.
