Taking in the past...then burning it. (Open.)

This city had, long ago, been the headquarters of a small group of 'heros' that called themselves the teen titans. In it's past prime, the teen titans had a great deal of loyal members fighting for the cause of justice and peace. However, without a common enemy to unite them, the titans had drifted apart and the once glorious towers they had called home and had served as their headquarters had more or less turned to ruin. Some were better off then others, but the north tower had suffered the worst of it. No longer used by anyone, the tower itself had collapsed in on itself in places, and the homeless and mentally insane had turned the hallways and rooms into one large walk in bathroom and bedroom.

Staking the hallways of this now ruined building alone, Hankan looked at the broken walls and smelled the horrible smell, trying to picture what this place had once been. The Order of the Fallen Saint had, in the past, watched groups such as the Teen Titans with great interest since they fraught most of the battles the Order didn't have the men to engage in, such as battles against humans or aliens who tried to use technology to take over the world.

The fact was that, despite his zealotry, Hankan had no problem with groups formed to defend humanity. It took some of the pressure off the Order. The problem he had was the fact that members of the teen titans were users of the very same magics and demonic powers that the Order was sworn to destroy. While past leaders had tolerated this on the grounds that they had been fighting to protect humanity, Hankan would show them none. There could not be any exceptions; all had to be purged, regardless of their political status.

Still, looking around the building for weak points for later destruction, Hankan couldn't help but feel slightly guilty that so many fine examples of human would have to be destroyed all because of a few bad apples. Dressed in the white armor of the high inquisition, Hankan moved unhindered around the first floor of the once great building, high explosive napalm charges in a bag he wore on his back. From what he could tell from looking around, this building was due for destruction anyway. The fact it had a taint was really just a bonus.

Silent Night wandered into a ruined building, seeing it as a place where he could vent off some steam. noticing a gutted computer sitting on top of a ruined desk, he decided to have a little fun. Drawing his Famas from his back, he sighted down the barrel, pulling the trigger. As the weapon blazed away on full auto, Silent Night whooped in savage joy as the metal shell that was once a desktop computer was shredded to a pulp of jagged metal. The clip ran dry and he rapidly slammed another one home without taking his aim off of the desk, taking savage delight in destroying the rotting wood.

As Hankan placed the second last explosive charge against a supporting beam, a somewhat strange and out of place sound reached his ears. Gun fire.
This was highly out of place, since the homeless could rarely afford to arm themselves in the first place, even if they could gather the spare change needed to gather bullets. Of course, all this did was confirm what Hankan had been suspecting for at least an hour now... He was being followed.

Ever since the purge at that restaurant earlier that night, Hankan had felt like he was being tailed by something...And boy had he given whatever it was a run for it's money. Upon entering the sewer system by the man hole near the restaurant, Hankan and the four man squad who was with him spilt up, taking different tunnels. Whatever was following wouldn't have found tracking anyone easy. But the fact remained that now the tracker was here...

Planting the last charge wouldn't take too long, but the chances of this gunman finding him before his work was finished were too great. While Hankan disliked going into direact combat, he didn't seem to have a choice. However, as he slowly and silently walked towards one of the doors that would lead him to the corrodors that would take him to the rooms the gunman was currently in, Hankan accidently bumpped a desktop, causing the screen saver of the old computer on it to awake, it's message written in bold red ' Intruder detectected. Sound the alarm: Y / N ? '

Looking at the screen, Hankan took a moment to think about it. It would take some time for a teen titan to arrive to investagate, and it would give the gunman something to worry about, and maybe cause him to flee. Pressing two buttons on the dust covered keyboard before him, Hankan typed 'Y' and 'Enter'.

At all the towers, including the north tower, alarms suddenly went off, a robotic voice screaming over the intercomm over and over again "THE NORTH TOWER HAS BEEN BREACHED! INTRUDER ALERT! INTERDER ALERT!".

As the alarm roared, Hankan grabbed the last charge and began the process of strapping it to the computer he had just used. He was now on the clock.

After having burned through a third clip, Silent Night decided he had wasted enough ammo. He placed his Famas across his back, the weapon staying put despite the lack of support, and pulled a wickedly serrated combat knife from the back of his belt. Leaping into a practiced routine, he defended himself against several imaginary attackers; blocking, stabbing, and slashing as he visualized his enemies bearing down on him. Then a blaring alarm made him freeze in place, halfway through a disembowling lunge. Without moving, he raised his gaze to the loudspeaker causing the noise in that room. "Perhaps I'm not the only one who was looking for fun."
He streatched, opening his mouth in a massive yawn. Then, curious, he chose a random hallway and began looking for whoever set off the alarm, casually strolling as if he owned the place, picking his teeth with the tip of his dagger, one hand behind his head as if he was reclining in a chair.

A shill alarm filled the night. "Intuders after so long? Must be my lucky day." HE still remebered when Titans South broke up. "Time for them to learn that there are still those who fight." He saw tracer rounds from an automatic weapon and a man charge into the old tower. More than one? I might break a sweat. Get ready Blademaster has returned.

Stelithy, he followed the intruder to the inside of the old tower. [i]Wether good or ill they plan, so shall they be dealt with.

Silent Night yawned, not really paying attention as he wandered the halls. It wouldn't have taken much to hide from him. Becoming annoyed with the constant blaring of the alarm, he drew his pistol with his free hand, putting a round in every speaker he passed, getting rid of the anoying sound bit by bit.

As the sound of pistol fire rang out, marking the location of the nearest hunter, Hankan let the brief show of a smile appear on his face. It was ready. The timer was set for five seconds on this bomb, making it the shortest timer of the pack. The first would go off five seconds after the timers were triggered, and they would continue to explode one after the other every five seconds until fourty.

All that was left to do was leave before they all went off....The tower wouldn't be standing much longer after the bombs went off.
There were two doors out of the room he was in... the one which lead to the man with the guns, and one that lead to what was once a bedroom that had a window.

Hitting the trigger button on the side of the small but deadly napalm filled bomb, Hankan started running as the timer started.

Hankan began running toward the door to the bedroom, making it to the rotting door on the other side in just under a second.

Not wishing to waste time, Hankan goes through the rotting wood, rather then going for the door knob. The breakage of wood causes him to stumble for a moment but fails to make him fall over.

Correcting himself, Hankan begins running at top speed, aiming for the window that leads to the outside world.

Quickly covering the distance of the room, Hankan launches himself through the glass window, his armor protecting his body from the bulk of the glass, leaving him with a couple of small cuts on his face that had been unavoidable.

Hankan hits the grass, rolling away from the now broken window in self protection.

0....Have a nice day, you sinning mother fuc...

The wall of shockwave and flame that exploded from the small bomb was enough to blow out the remaining glass in the window, giving Hankan a shower of glass as flames scorched the air above him and the grass around him started to burn. His armor, which was designed to withstand the heat, ensured that he wasn't roasted alive by the blust itself. as the torrent of flames died down, Hankan looked behind him at the rooms he had just left, the rot and corruption now engulfed in deepest flame. The supporting wall had been damaged in the blast, and the flames would continue to weaken the already unstable building... and that was just the first blast. There were seven more to come...

Hearing a crash of wood, Silent Night whirled around, swapping his pistol for his Famas and taking off at top speed towards the sound in one fluid motion. He passed into a room as he heard a window break in the room in front of him. "Right then, let's see who want to play" he muttered as he entered the room, running for the window. Had he been able to sprint, he might have made it. However, given that he weighed more than any human should, all he could manage was a brisk jog. He managed to reach the window, seeing someone roll away from the building before he was engulfed in flame, the force of the blast propelling him out of the window, his limbs flailing comically and his mouth gushing out a constant stream of profanity. He hit the street hard, skidding several feet before grinding to a halt, leaving a red smear several feel long. Strangely, instead of the crunch of bone, the screeching of metal on asphalt echoed over the sound of the burning building. He started to stand when his Famas slammed into the back of his head with a reverberating clang, bringing him facedown into the road once more. Suddenly realizing he was on fire, Silent Night freaked out, flailing around and rolling back and fourth. Managing to put the fine out, he staggered to his feet, gasping for air. He smelled strongly of cooked meat, and he managed to choke out a strangled "Not... Cool!" he looked up at the building, eyes wild, face a mask of blood. "Bad... building, no exploding!" He pointed an accusing finger at the inferno. "Bad!" He staggered back as the next charge went off, and pointed at it again. "What did I just tell you? No exploding!" giving up, he looked down at himself. The front of his shirt was gone, shredded on the road. His bare chest was a shredded ruin of flesh and blood, and something mettalic could be seen shining through the blood as it reflected the light of the flames. Panicing for a moment, he took of his jacket, inspecting it. Apart from being a few shades darker, it was surprisingly undamaged. Relieved, he put it back on as a wave of nausea overtook him, and he vomited blood on the sidewalk. "Ugh, I doubt that's a good sign." Lolling up, he noticed the man he guessed had jumped out of the window. "Oi! You!" he staggered over towards the man, his Famas temporarily forgotten on the road.

Today had certainly being a surprising one for Kira. First she had met up with Mg at the old tower, then someone burned down Grim's cafe, where upon investigating she had found Xzuk and his new titan pal, then she and the heavy handed Gray had taken off on the arsonists trail as Xzuk and mg took care of the fire.

Things only went downhill from there.

The bad guys had taken to the sewers, meaning Kira had to transform back into half human form. It also meant tracking became much harder, but not impossible. The fact that the baddies split up was just plain annoying. Luckily though the pyromancer had a scent easily distinguished from the others.

The walk through the sewers had been trying for Kira, not only did she have to constantly breathe in the foul air with her hyper sensitive nose, but Gray kept trying to start up conversations. That did not go over well, Kira just felt off balance with him. He was so familiar, yet she was certain she had never met him before in her life. Then there was the fact that he had introduced himself to Mg and Kira by killing some terrorists right in front of them.

It was no surprise to either of the hunting pair when, upon emerging from the dark sewers, both sighed in relief at escaping the awkward atmosphere that surrounded them for the past our or so.

Now, back in the open, Kira could finally make up for some lost ground.

Unceremoniously she had dropped Gray up onto her giant wolf back, then proceeded to gallop at frightening speeds after the pyro in wolf form.

However, even this extra speed was not enough to get the duo to Titans North in time. It was as they hit the edges of the city that they heard the first of the explosions from the tower.

Oh that can't be good... Kira thought, racing towards the tower, Gray clinging for dear life to the almost arms length fur on her back.

It was as she skidded around the last corner and saw the bloodied man standing in the middle of the street that Kira remembered the main reason why she had come on this hunt in the first place.

Clamping her nostrils shut, Kira averted her eyes from the snack on wheels, and instead to the tower. It was in ruins. 7 massive blasts had ripped through it leaving nothing but a fiercely burning shell of a building. Kira felt anger rise up in her blood, but also a little bit of fear. The first attack could be put down to just that, a random attack. However, factoring in the now blown to pieces tower, Kira couldn't help but assume this guy was after the Titans.

And so it was that Kira turned her eyes to the evil doer in person, transforming back into the half human-half wolf stage so as to offer him less of a target. This also meant Gray fell on his arse on the ground behind her, an added bonus in her eyes.

"Yes, you. What exactly do you think you are doing?" Kira slowly snarled, eyes boring into the arsonist before her, taking up the conversation from where the staggering human had left off. In addition to the anger she now felt at this bomber for targeting Titans, the blood lust from the wolf for the shredded man only added to Kira's desire to tear this pyromancer limb from limb.

Silent Night's eyes widened in mock delight as the newcomer appeared. "Ooh! A big ol' transorming puppy! The day is saved!" He giggled, doubling over as his laughter brought on a fresh wave of pain. "How many times I got ta say it?" He muttered to himself as he knelt on all fours, his ragged breaths heavy and uneven. "I don't do fire. Fire is bad. No habla de fire." He shuddered and vomited more blood. "Somehow, I don't think things could go much worse. Unless of course we were in an elevator. A flooded elevator." He shuddered again, fighting to bring himself back to his feet. He picked up a rock on the way up, and tried to throw it at the man in white. In his weakened state, however, he was only able to manage a clumsy, lopsided throw that brought the rock skidding to a halt a mere five feet from where it had been thrown. "Ugh, looks like I could use a nap." He muttered drawing a his combat knife. "Too bad there's no rest for the wicked." He chuckled, groaning as the action brought on annother wave of pain and nausea. Adopting a defensive stance, he held the knife in a reverse grip and staggered almost drunkenly towards the arsonist, wincing in pain as he dis so.

So Hankan brushed the dirt he had gotten on his armor away, he silently let the world around him play out, from the yelling and screaming to the explosions that shook the ground and began the destruction of the tower.

However, once the dirt was off his armor, Hankan looked at the growing crowd. Among it's numbers was a woman who didn't seem to be able to decide if she was a human female or a wolf... It was mutation like that that proved the amount of corruption that spread to the once noble defenders of Jump city and the like.

Shaking his head, Hankan raised a hand, not saying a single word. While his power often involved burning something to ash, he did have other tricks up his shelve. Despite the fact it was dark, a sudden beam of light pieced the darkness, shining on Hankan and reflecting off his armor, sending a blinding wave of light into the world for a few seconds.

When the beam vanished, so was Hankan. There was no trace of him. No smell, no footprint. The only thing that could prove he had been standing there at all was the ground, which was glowing pure white.

Hankan had gone home.

Sinent Night cried out in surprise as he was blinded by a sudden light. As it faded, he rubbed blood and tears from his eyes with one hand, the other clutching the dagger and feeling around blindly in front of him. After a moment, he regained his sight, crying out again, this time in anger. "No, he can't get away! Coward! Stand and fight like a true warrior!" Enraged, he lept at the glowing spot, fighting to shut out the pain doing so caused him. "You don't get to light me on fire and run! You finish what you started!" He clawed at the ground for a moment before giving up and rising painfully to his feet. "Cowards die in shame. I shall ensure you meet the end you deserve." Looking up at the half wolf, he growled, blaming her for the man's retreat. "You! He didn't run 'till you showed up! You let that coward escape!" His eyes filled with hatred, he advanced slowly on unsteady feet, his blade still clutched before him in a reverse grip.

Super sensitive eyes + blinding light = pain

Kira cried out and covered her eyes with her paws as white light burned into her head like red hot pokers. Quickly she transformed that part of her being back into human form to try and stop the pain. It worked, sort of.

By the time Kira gathered her wits enough to open her eyes again the random man who probably had more blood outside him than in him by now was advancing at her with a knife. Kira couldn't help it, she burst out laughing.

"You think you can take me in your state with that little toothpick?!"

Kira was almost on the verge of collapsing on the ground in laughter. This guy obviously had no idea who she was.

Wiping the tears from her eyes Kira spoke again.

"Believe me, you'd be dead faster than you can blink if i wanted to kill you. Which i kinda do, but that's just cause you're bleeding so much. You really should get that looked at." She said, fading back into seriousness.

The bad guy was gone again and this time her trusty nose had no trail to follow. Seems like this trip had been a big waste of time. The only thing that had seemed to happen was a derelict tower got burned down - something it probably would of done on its own soon anyway - and some guy who thought he could take a horse sized wolf with a tiny knife had been torn to shreds by the road.

"Come on, we'll take you to a hospital and get you cleaned up. Then Gray and i'll will head back East and let the others know what happened." Kira said calmly, helping the silent Gray to his feet.

Starting with a pained gurgle that brought blood bubbling from his throat, growing into a giggle, and becoming a tear inducing wave of hysterical laughter, Silent Night began to lose control. "You think you can kill me, puppy? You do? You've technically already lost. Either you do kill me, and all everyone sees is you murdering a hapless victem who's dying from severe internal burns, or... " For a moment his derranged laughter prevented him from speaking. "Or you underestimate me, puppy. And then you'll be dead, and I'll still burn to death from the inside!" He doubled over, not from pain, but from laughter. "Either way, you can't help me, there's no way I'll cool off in time. I'll never make it on foot, and I doubt you can carry me let alone even touch me yet." He continued laughing as if he was telling some hilarious joke. As he spoke, the smell of cooked meat grew stronger and his grip on sanity grew weaker.

The guy was obviously slightly out of his mind with pain. It was understandable to see why, but something he said irked Kira;

"I'll still burn to death from the inside!"

That cant be right.

Now that the pain from the blinding light left by the bad guy had faded away, Kira took the opportunity to switch back to her wolf eyes. It was only then that she noticed the drop dead obvious. Under all that deliciously bleeding flesh was a layer of metal. Very hot metal. And it was this metal that was killing knife boy.

"You're right about me not being able to carry you yet, however i think Gray here may be able to help you." Kira said almost kindly, sending a questioning glance at Gray to see if this mysterious new titan could do what she thought his powers may allow him to do. If she was wrong and he couldn't, well they could always wait around for another minute or so, knife boy should be nicely roasted by then.

Kira licked her lips, she couldn't help it. She had the wolf under control, but this guy just smelled so damn tasty! It was rather annoying.
