It's Time...To Rise. (Fright Night Prologue)

"Annoying #%!$!"

After getting swiped JaK kipped back up to his feet and right hooked the ghost that sucker punched him. However, after doing so from behind he was shoved hard by another ghoul and in response spun around and capiera kicked it and two others making them dissipate upon contact. Afterwards he noticed Superboy was down and tried to give aid immediately.

"Conner! Hold on I'm comi---aAAAAAHH!!"

As JaK then ran towards Superboy's position to help him out, along the way suddenly out of the couch sprang a spirit that was in hiding and again hit Jak in the face. Except unlike the others it's nails were long and sharp, and as it raked it's palm across Sage's face it ripped his armor off with three long lines like a can opener. The sound of metal being torn echoing throughout the room as JaK coverd his face right afterwards and took a swipe at it only to miss and get jabbed in the shoulder by one of it's long spindly fingers. Which pierced through and came out the other end of the boys skin/shoulder. Again, things weren't looking very good for the team...

Meanwhile, outside as Will's attack shattered against the witch's defensive shielding she made a quick chuckle while preparing an attack of her own.

"You're going to have to try harder than that if you even hope of going a few rounds with me William. And I'm so hoping you can last at least a few, unlike most of the men I've met in past lives. Come on, didn't your grandpappy teach you any REAL spells? Like this, Nurushima aka' La Ra'v'nofta!"

Suddenly a large purple lightning whip appeared out of her palm and lashed out at Psychosis, but unlike a normal whip the tip of this one followed Will like a heat seaking pit viper.

"You're wrong by the way, the night's just begun! "

"My heroes. -MWUAH!-"

Is all Mecha-Spider would say as suddenly one of the 3 golems she was avoding being pummedled by was suddenly skewered by Static and struggled to remvoe the lamp post from it's mid section. Then the other mini goblin like demon creatures around it were being hacked at by the knights Melody had created. With the quick reprieve Spider-Girl took this time to spray about a dozen or so more web-bullets at the demons in the area and flipped about taking cheap shots at them while they were blinded and using her quickness and agility to avoid blows form other golems then dealing heavy duty shots to the creatures that nearly stumbled them, but not quite.All the while her spidey-senses informed her of any incoming projectiles ahead of time.

"I dunno, don't ask me, my plan was to caddle em up and beat on them, but seeing as that doesn't seem to be working due to...well....ALL Of THAT!"

As Spider-Girl spoke she referred tot he flying demons that had begun to scoop up police officers in the air and tore a few apart and then of course not too far off another portal had seemed to form in the middle of the city, which would undoubtedly spill out more demons made the original plan seem like a bust.

"I just dunno, Whoop got any ideas? We need that colony sized brain of yours right about now and Static aren't you pretty brainy too? What are the chances of us...ohhh I dunnooo, living through all of this!?!"

As Liz spoke she went back to back with Static and fired web-balls while he utilzied his electrical current to keep the monsters at bay. Meanwhile, the others did their thing and the police did there best to stay alive while retaliating.

Brianna was inside by the time the alarm went off, having decided it was probably a bad idea to be brooding outside while they were expecting a horde of zombies to come banging on their door. She backed up a little so she was next to Shadow, keeping the ghouls at bay as best she could.

Y'know, these guys are giving ghosts a bad name. I'm much better looking than that.

Maybe because you haven't been dredged up from the fiery depths of hell.

Helpful, guys. Really helpful.

In fact, Callum and Rai's useless banter was a welcome distraction to Brianna. She didn't know what the little monsters were, but she could hear them. It wasn't pretty. They didn't have coherent thoughts or motives, just raw, primal emotion; pain and fear and anger and hate all sewn together in a horrifying patchwork of jagged hurt that fascinated and repelled Brianna all at the same time.

Shadow went to spread her wings and realized they weren't there, instead jumping onto the chair behind her just in time to avoid a swipe from the first ghost. She kicked through it as Will's spell washed over her and watched it dissipate into black smoke. Shadow didn't have much more time for contemplation, levitating slightly so she could wrap the chair under her in dark energy and hurl it at the incoming group of ghouls. Her landing was more a clumsy drop than the gentle descent she imagined the real Raven would execute, but the real Raven was used to the whisper that wasn't quite there, promising power and riches and everything she could ever want and conveniently omitting the fact that Shadow would be reduced to a mindless shell controlled by pure evil should she give in.

So she fell awkwardly, and didn't quite stop the chair she'd thrown before it hit the opposite wall and fell down, very nearly missing JaK but at least drawing Shadow's attention to his predicament. She concentrated, wondering if chanting Raven's magic words would help but deciding it wouldn't be worth the cheesiness. Shadow just channelled her new-found magic as her eyes flared bright white and dragged the struggling ghost off JaK and into the air, right into the path of one of Grace's ice shards. No time for even a sense of achievement, though, as she spun around just in time to wave her hand and create a black shield to stop the ghost that had been about to attack while her back was turned. They both disappeared on impact as Shadow turned her attention back to the seemingly endless waves of ghouls filling the Tower.

Ben ducked as Sanakan's spheres came into play and blasted the incoming vamps, but then had to make a hefty retreat when a few of them went flying after the bots. At least it did give Ben a little time to get the watch working, useless time that is! The Omnitrix still wasn't recharged and the remaining vampires were still coming, but that was when Silent Suddenly appeared and took care of the remaining ones.

"I dunno, I can never tell with this thing, but I'm trying my hardest to get it to work. Come on Wildmutt, Jetstream, Ripjaws, heck I'll even take Stinkfly at this point. Just GIVE ME SOMETHING!!"

Ben continued to try to rotate the dial on the Omnitrix, as well as slam down on its faceplate, but nothing seemed to be working. Still it was busy processing DNA and wouldn't transform Ben until the process was completed, the blinking yellow light was a big indicator of this. Just then, the Vampires outside the crater were going to approach Ben and Zack again, when suddenly Furi fell in front of their path and began attacking them. The tiger-humanoid alien was obviously enjoying the ability to let loose on an enemy without Ben trying to hinder his blood lust. However, just then in front of the group with a pack of more Vampires behind him landed the lord Vampire, Nosferatu. He had apparently been waiting for Zack to come out into the open.

"You. You've been causing my children quite a stir...I'm here to rectify that. Kill the boy and keep the mongrel busy, I want to personally peel the grin from this one's face with no interruption."

No sooner had the words been uttered from Nosferatu's mouth did the vampire's behind him all attempt to bum-rush Furi and then two of them broke from the pack and went after Ben. With Furi and Zack occupied and Sanakan's drones dealing with the other batfreaks. Ben took off as his eyes widened, attempting to stay ahead of the much quicker Vampires as he rounded the tower and went down the isle. Meanwhile, the mob of Vampires all over Furi were trying to keep him busy, leaving only the officer of Trigon/Hollowman and Zack alone.

"Come human, meet your demise. If you give me a good showing I might be generous and make you one of us rather than just stripping your flesh from your bones...or at least the rest of it. I can tell you have experienced a bit more hardships than the rest of your team, you understand the graveness of the situation, but you overestimate your abilities. You cannot win this battle, for the war has already been lost. You are trying to repel an entity beyond your feeble understanding and thought process. Even now your comrades are being overrun by lord Trigon's eternal armies and yet you fight on....Tell me, what is the sense in dying here for inevitably nothing. No matter what you do, the outcome will be the same. I will retrieve the daughter for the Hollow-One or he will come an claim her himself and then you will all be enslaved and tortured for all time..."

As Nosferatu spoke, he approached Zack, each step hindering off every few words that escaped his lips. He had no arrogance to his speech, but rather a condescending matter of fact. The odds were ridiculous, the stakes were high, and the outcome did seem bleak, but this being of darkness obviously didn't know the Titans had a knack for achieving the impossible. He didn't even make an attempt at a battle stance or defensive position as he neared Zack, unafraid of his weaponry as long as the mark of Trigon was upon him...The key words being upon him.

Meanwhile, back inside the tower the vamps that had broke in had now reached the other's barricade and were attempting to pound it down. The scene looked nearly akin to the last image of the movie I Am Legend. As the vampires seriously attempted to bust in and evidently would, for the smell of fresh blood only added to their resolve and strength. Barely even registering that they weren't supposed to kill Raven when they reached her due to the odor of life overriding their common sense and reducing them to a more feral mindset.

"AAAAHH, sometimes, I HATE this watch!"

Back outside Ben was still in grave danger as he ran from the vampires chasing him. Both of his pursuers were on foot, as if they were enjoying playing with their food rather than taking to the skies to cover ground quicker. Eventually, however, this proved to be in Ben's favor for the Omnitrix suddenly came back online with a picture of a new alien silhouette over the faceplate, signaling it was ready to transform Ben.

"YES!! And sometimes, I LOOOooOOve this watch....Hmm, don't recognize you, but you're all it's giving me to choose from so here we g---OUUFF!"

As Ben continued to run he tried picking another alien, obviously having Fourarms or Xlr8 in mind, but for some reason it was only showing him this new one and just as he was about to change he was tackled from behind by one of the vampires causing Ben to trip and fall. It should've been over obviously, but of course Ben's dumb luck caused him to land on the Omnitrix itself after being tackled and instantly transformed the boy in a flash of neon green light. Afterwards the sound of the two vampires attacking something could be heard, but moments later they both went flying back as a new figure stood before them.

It was Ben alright, but in a new form, that resembled the undead creatures that were attempting to suck his own blood from his veins until he was nothing but a withered corpse. Therefore, as it turned out, Nosferatu being an original vampire wasn't from Earth. Vampires were actually descendants of a species of alien that came to Earth centuries upon centuries ago.

"Neat, I think I'll call this one FangFace! and I've definitely got a NEED to FEED."

That being said, FangFace darted forward and attacked the other two vampires who charged back at him. He was actually stronger, quicker, and more coherent than these two. Maybe it was because he was an actual original vampire and not a half-breed like these ones. In addition, they were fresh hatchlings, while Ben was an Omnitrix alien. For some reason his aliens seemed to always outshine the originals and this new vamp form was no exception.
