When Jemmy First Met Kyte (Kyte)

Jemmy frowned as Kyte kept talking. He had said that she had annoyed him by talking too much, and then decided to talk her ear off. By the end of it, Jemmy just shook her head. She wasn't angry, just annoyed. "Shut up."

She pointed a finger at Kyte and shot a beam of magical energy at him. If it hit, it would turn the demon into a turtle for about an hour. With his innate magical abilities, he would still be super fast...for a turtle, but he wouldn't be able to dodge a rock, much less Jemmy's attacks.

If he dodged the beam, Jemmy would teleport around him, raining down more beams of magical energy, all intending to turn him into a turtle.

Kyte could talk as arrogantly as he wanted, but it didn't change the fact that Jemmy was a Lord of Chaos. She always got anything...anything she wanted.

Suddenly, Jemmy stopped, hovering a good 20 feet above Kyte's right side. Why hadn't she thought of this idea before? Her balloon's ribbon stretched itself and wrapped around her waist, freeing both of her hands. She picked her nose and turned the booger into a short bow. She knocked an arrow with a heart-shaped arrowhead. "Don't worry. This won't hurt. Not yet, anyways. You've got a thick hide, so the damage should kick in over the next hundred years or so. I'm going to force you to love something. And once I find out what that something is, I'm going to take it away from you!"

She released Cupid's Arrow, which went soaring unerringly towards Kyte's heart. It would do no physical damage, but it would change Kyte over the next century. It would change him a lot.

Cupid's Arrow hit, and Jemmy laughed. "There. I've infected you with the emotion of love. Congratulations, Kyte, you now have a heart." She watched him kick his little turtle feet into the air, trying to stand back up. It was just too funny. Jemmy started laughing. She laughed so hard that her stomach hurt. She had turned Kyte into a turtle to make him easier to hit. Right now, he couldn't move, and his soft underbelly was exposed. Jemmy could crush him with ease, but she didn't want to. It was just too much fun watching him kick those little feet in the air.

Besides, killing him now would be a waste of the Cupid's Arrow. She wanted to let love fester in Kyte's heart, until he understood what it meant to hold something dear.

But she also wanted to hurt him. She held a finger from each hand, like dual wielding pistols, and shot two beams of energy. One beam would set Kyte on fire, causing him an intense burning pain. The other beam would heal him from all the damage the fire did. As a result, Kyte would suffer an extreme amount of pain without his body actually taking injury.

Jemmy burned Kyte and watched him run...slowly. He jumped off the rooftop, seeking shelter on the ground. He was tough, so Jemmy was sure he would survive the fall.

Burning her enemy had made her feel a little better. Now she needed to wait for her 'master plan' to pan out. Looking up, Jemmy saw a cloud passing overhead. She pointed up at it and shot a magical beam at the puff. The cloud turned black, and thunder started to rumble from it.

"Farewell, Kyte. We'll be seeing each other again. Your soul will be undergoing change from this point on, and I look forward to watching that. For now, use that shell of yours to its fullest potential. You're going to need it."

She disappeared as hailstones battered down on the palace. The lava in the room disappeared, and the spikes on the roof sunk back into a smooth surface. Hailstones beat down on the capital for half an hour. A short time later, the transformation spell on Kyte would wear off.
