Afterward (For Terra)

A large piece of stone glowed black before lifting off of the battered Raven and landing on the ground. The dark circle of energy around Raven's hand disappeared, and it dropped to the floor.

I can't lose her! Raven thought, jumping up and leaping into the air. His cape billowing out behind him as he sped down the streets, following the trail of small rocks that had fallen off of Terra's boulder.

"Terra?" He called when the trail stopped momentarily where she had turned the corner.

Isaiah glanced around quickly seeing a street lamp close by. He looped an arm around Terra's waist. "Remember to keep this rock moving once we're off," he started to swing the wire with the other hand. He glanced on the small hook on the other end, he hoped it would hold both of them. His eyes glowed violet as he released the wire and watched the clasp take hold around the top of the lamp post. "Hold on," he commanded.

Terra cringed, and clutched on as the wind blew through her hair. The idea of leaping into the air with anybody was terrifying, let alone a complete stranger. But it was too late to hesitate, and now she was soaring, with only Isaiah as a parachute.

"I don't like this plaaaaaaaaaaaaan"

The rock hand was still ploughing down the street behind them, in a headlong race with Raven 2.

The hand paused for a moment, as though aware of something as its giant rocky form cut through the road like a shark's fin. It turned toward Raven, and without slowing down, formed a giant boulder in its palm.

A second spear of earth shot through the asphalt and sewage system, wielding what resembled a baseball bat. With an almighty THWACK sound the boulder was launched at 100 miles an hour, straight for Raven.

"Raven, look out!" Terra called, eyes wide in awe at the missile.

OOC: Would anybody mind if I joined this? Since you guys are Titans, Kyte needs to impress them to get in. I couldn't tell if this was closed or open to anybody. Of course, just say no and I'll be off, lol.

Nice story so far, by the way.

Kyte was walking away from the tower that Seth had had him meet the others in. He heard some faint booms off in the distance, often a sign of commotion in cities; whether it be bombs or a giant thundering through the streets. He sighed, and like anyone that had a curious mind, went to go check it out, walking towards the sirens and booming sounds, making sure to transform into his demonic state beforehand, the black blaze engulfing his body before coming out of it as Akunin.

Kyte broke into a run as the bangs started getting louder, and suddenly the sirens were dimming, before going out, one by one, after large smashes.

Dammit...what's going on here?

Suddenly Kyte rounded the street corner to the official Jump City Bank, which he had gone to visit a few times; with his aliases of course, and started absorbing his surroundings immediately. Two broken fire hydrants spouting water into the air. Torn up ground all around the bank, as if there actually had been bombs going off. A helicopter zipping around above; that was definitely going to be a hindrance. What appeared to be a young, blonde-headed girl with a man on a boulder, going down the street (which Kyte deduced, since it was leaving considerable large bruises in the ground behind it that was causing all the street to rip up, was the cause of the commotion). And lastly, a large stone that started glowing black not far from him, before raising and revealing a man beneath it. Kyte blinked.

Levitation? ...huh.

Kyte smirked briefly. He could not expect to find a Titan 'round every corner. He supposed this would be a longer prospect than he originally thought; having to bait the Titans out by doing "good" deeds. Ah, well., he thought. No one ever said being a double agent was going to be easy.

However, it seemed the blonde woman was the antagonizer here, as soon, the rock boulder she was riding on rode off course as it was batted (it seemed that baseball was a very popular sport around here) at the young man who had just unearthed himself from the rubble by yet another boulder. Kyte broke out into his full speed towards the man. "Good" guys saved people from imminent doom, right? Kyte did some quick calculations. He had been taught long ago to use such advantages of his quick mind, and to be taught speed and distance as well, being able to calculate the time of which something would arrive to a certain distance by it's speed. Knowing full well at his current state he could only run at about sixty statute miles an hour, he would reach the man in about one second. Looking at the boulder, it was moving much faster than he was; but it was at a greater distance; about 50 meters from the man in the line of fire. And from the looks of it, it was traveling at a sound speed of a hundred miles an hour. Doing the quick calculations, Kyte almost stopped in awe at the irony.

Thirty meters at sixty miles an hour; one second. Fifty meters at a hundred miles an hour; one second. Fate shined on him. At about five meters from his desired target; the very intersection of the path on course with the boulder, he leaped, drawing his titanium katana as he was in midair, and right when the boulder was near him, quickly cleaved it in half. It was a large boulder, but due to the strength of the blade, it was easily cleaved through, and redirected off course from the man. The strong slash caused Kyte to spin a bit, and he used it to his advantage to make a proper landing. He promptly stood up, looking in the direction of the man and woman as they were on the side of the street due to latching onto a telephone pole with a wire. Clever.

He looked towards the man he had just saved. He hoped he was worth it, as his scarlet eyes looked the man from head to toe.

OOC: I hope "Dammit" does not qualify as a swear.

(( I messaged Raven a few days ago letting him know what was up and sorry I've been kind of MIA the last little bit, school ends for me this Wednesday, so I'm finishing finals this weekend. ))

OOC: Maybe we should skip him this time around? You know, just to keep the ball rolling? I mean, it has been like two weeks...

Isaiah landed, letting go of Terra. He turned to call out to Raven when he noticed a new comer to the battle racing toward the boulder. He stood astounded as the boulder was made quick work of by the young man's sword. Isaiah glanced at Terra.

Raven seemed to be out of danger for the moment. He took a deep breath and swallowed. "We probably should clear out of here before the cops show up... again," he managed. They would have to gather Raven up first. Isaiah ran a hand through his hair attempting to recollect himself. It would be time to make the next move and fast if they didn't want to end up on the evening news.

OOC: Sorry, I was really interested in this thread, but it's taking too long and I don't do much liquid time with Kyte.

BIC: It seemed his quarry was in a state of paralysis, for he was staring off into space and not moving. Kyte reached down, and tried picking up his hand, but he still didn't catch the man's attention. He sighed, but while the man was distracted, he saw that he did not need to join the Titans. He did not need to gain Raven's trust. Because now...he was incapable of moving. He patted the back of the man's head, careful to get a loose thread of hair.

I don't know what happened, young one, but I'm afraid I have no more time here. Have a nice day...Raven.

Kyte smirked, and his claws extended a bit from his fingers, as he pretended that he forgot that he was holding onto Raven's hand, and ran away at top speed; sixty miles an hour. Not enough to cause serious harm, but enough to get some of Raven's blood and skin cells as his claws slipped along his skin, making little cuts. He ran at top speed; supposedly having "something to do"-- but he quickly made his way towards Steel City, grinning.

Well, Seth...I wonder how much you'll like this?
