| Colossus was completely clear of the bridge by now. He turned to look at the crumbling structure. A structure he was a fundamental part of for the past half hour. And now the jets were bombing it, shattering it like a fragile plate on a hard floor. Rubble and dust flew everywhere, a lot of the rubble was charred, and smoke filled the air in an even greater volume than ever before.
But one of the jets was after him. He raised an arm to protect himself. For the most part, the cannon fire was blowing holes in his skin, almost getting to the bone, but he would survive it. The impending bomb, however, was another thing entirely. About to be resigned to his fate, he shifted slightly as two people appeared on his shoulders. A girl in skull armor, or what he assumed was skull armor, with that bone white helmet. The other was the human shield, and both wanted to be thrown, as projectiles.
Normally, Colossus would never do this. It was purposefully risking both of their lives, but they had also volunteered to do it. It might work, he realized. It was very risky, but if they could hinder the aerial forces of the enemy, then why not? He took Maverique in his right hand, and Deadlock in the left. With a roar, he threw Maverique first, aiming for the closer jet. He hoped her shield would hold up, as he threw Deadlock in the path of the next closest.
Hoping and assuming they would come back down in a predictable arc, Colossus got into a position to catch both, even willing to take fire as he stood there waiting for them to fall back down. He wouldn't let them die.

| The two females struck the jets and caused them both to explode in a glorious fireworks display. One of the soldiers escaped via parachute the other wasn't so lucky.
The two females' luck seemed to be well intact, as well as their bodies thanks to Colossus, who dashed through the water and caught the women before they met with the waves below from such a high altitude drop.
Meanwhile out in the distance the ship blew to smithereens creating a visible plume of smoke and flame! A bomb had been placed on the vessel - just in case of failure - it would seem a damaged ship would definitely be traceable and the one who had the detonator wasn't willing to take the risk.
Without any evidence or proof it would appear to have been a casualty of war and not a sabotage. Nonetheless the day was somewhat saved from the onslaught of the Russians, at least on this end of the city, but what to do with the two prisoners of war; Hotspot and Argent both laid unconscious and captured on the shore.
