| The airport was bustling as usual, in the terminals the news was reporting a terrorist attack at the prison and Jump City officials were responding accordingly. A gunshot went off in the lobby and a security guard dropped dead. One other security guard attempted to radio for help but was shot by another who was posing as airport security. Russian secret agents - they shot their weapons in the air and demanded everyone drop to the floor. All the scared pedestrians did as ordered, this was a hostage situation. Meanwhile, outside on the landing strip a commercial flight was taking off when a random bolt of lighting struck the left turbine causing it to descend rapidly and skid across the runway and finally come to a halt in the grassy meadow beside the airport runway. Clouds rapidly filled the sky as lightning cracked and thunder boomed. The instant brewing storm came quite literally out of nowhere, an unnatural occurrence to say the least. Then from above a yellow and blue being descended on a thunder cloud. - Spoiler:
Jump City's meta-response division could be seen flying in via helicopter but was quickly struck and caught ablaze by lightning caused by the storm the brothers had mustered. Multiple bolts of electricity danced around the area causing any arial support to have to turn back or attempt to avoid the forest of lighting. As they touched down on the ground they were met by a unit of stationed ground forces that constantly protected the airport year round, but a large thunderous clap from one of the brothers sent the authorities flying several yards back. Additionally, any ground support was blocked by a wall of humvees holding Russian terrorist units sporting rail guns, Mp5s, flash bang grenades, smoke screens, bazookas, and other forms of heavy weaponry. It looked like aid wouldn't be able to make it. To make matters worse one of the small planes on the runway panicked and tried to take flight anyway among the chaos in the hopes of escaping the danger. As the pilot ascended he peered back towards the scene and saw the lightning brother aiming his palm at the aircraft, ready to shoot it down with a bolt from his very own hand. | |

| Sitting atop the control tower, invisible to everyone else, was the ever mischievous dog goddess, who had gone to the airport that day to do her usual people watching. Humans achieving the wonder of flight was one of the few things she was interested in seeing for herself. For the most part, they did not disappoint.
She was one of the first to sense it. The sudden change in weather that is. Her ears twitched in anticipation at the unnatural gathering of clouds in the sky right above the runways. A gleeful smile was etched on her face as a pair of beings descended from above and began to wreak havoc on the ground and sky. It brought back memories of the days when SHE was the one responsible for such. Although, she was never this direct about it. The two did strongly remind her of a pair siblings in her world who also possessed the ability to control storms. They were great playmates. She wondered if these two would be just as amusing.
She saw her chance when one of the brothers aimed a lightning bolt at a plane that was trying to take off. She giggled softly before turning into a bolt of lightning herself and flashing right into the scene. She reappeared in her true form in the path of the lightning bolt that was heading towards the aircraft and caught it with one hand. The electrical energy sparked and crackled as she waved her finger.
"Ara, ara. You shouldn't be carelessly throwing this around. Not everyone can catch them you know. You're in luck though. I happen to be one of the few who are able to."
Charging it up with her own lightning magic, she hurled the bolt back at where it came from.
"This inugami challenges you to game~" | |

| The lightning brother's legs crackled and fizzed as sparks formed around them just before he zipped out of the way of the lightning this new god had thrown and shot forward another beam of lightning to shoot down any projectiles heading towards his brother. The Thunder brother had leaped in front of his kin Lighting and again clapped his hands together mightily creating a sonic boom that rivaled the ballistics fire across the way from the Russians battling Jump City's forces to knock the girl out of the battlefield. | |

| It was all going down today at the airport. At first, it looked like an ordinary robbery, but then it turned out to be Russians who were wielding seriously heavy weaponry! They were so tough that the meta-response division was being driven back! Not only that, but any air forces were being driven away by two powerful young metahumans.
The two metahumans were met by a mysterious silver haired woman who seemed to be a match for them, so they were not the biggest priority right now. The priority was the hostages and the people stopping them from being rescued!
Something crashed down on a van from above, the figure blurred so fast that it couldn't properly be seen, it crushed the van under it's feet, it avoided the bullets fired at it, moving between soldiers and taking them out in a blur. The figure went behind a van, soldiers went to go around it, but then the van was kicked at the soldiers, hitting them like bowling pins.
For a second, the figure could be seen, at first glance it was an ordinary teenager wearing a hoodie, but then he would be recognised as the registered hero Kicker. Kicker smiled before he took off again, jumping into the air and using his power to hop around. Unless they had some kind of secret weapon other than the brothers who were fighting the silver haired girl, he would probably take them out quite easily. | |

| "Ara, ara"
For some reason the lightning wielder chose to dodge rather than catch her bolt. Interesting. She wondered if she should consider that as a hint that he was unable to take what he could throw out. As though to further encourage that thought, the thunder wielder was the one facing her directly this time. She bent her legs and jumped up high out of the way of the sonic boom. It was none of her business if the wave hit anything behind her. She was not obligated to block it to protect anyone.
This was going to be fun. Raiko called upon her lightning wolf familiar, which materialized in front of her. Grabbing on to its back, the wolf zipped through the air, instantly closing the distance between her and the storm siblings and getting behind them. From there, she got off her familiar and unleashed powerful electric bolts no more than a few feet way at the back of the thunder wielder. Meanwhile, her wolf familiar chased after the lightning wielder and could easily match his speed with its own ability to turn into lightning as it moved. Should the familiar successfully bite him, it would begin to leech off his power and drain him dry. | |

| It had been an easy, enjoyable day for Greed. He was in the middle of the appliance store, looking at the TV he'd planned on stealing. Unfortunately, whenever he found himself having a nice easy day something would always find it's way to spice it up. He'd spotted the news report with a scowl. Russians were destroying the airport? Of all the places...
"I've never even been on a plane."
He mumbled to himself, pulling his mask out of his hoodie pocket with a continued scowl. He was getting an idea of what he wanted to do today, and luckily for the store owner it didn't involve his TV... yet, at least. He exited the store, pulling his mask on as he made his way to the nearest stoplight. It was red, and the first thing that caught Greed's eye was a fancy motorcycle with an unsuspecting victim sitting on it. He drew his pistol and a quick shot dropped the man from the bike and sent the crowd running. Greed caught the cycle before it fell, keeping it upright and from crushing his poor gunshot victim.
"Don't worry, kid. It's for the defense of the nation, y'know?"
Greed didn't wait for the rightful owner of the motorcycle to reply. He'd only been shot with a rubber bullet, though at that range he might have a broken rib or something. He got on the bike and took off towards the airport, ignoring speed limits. He figured the police officers would already be at the airport when he got there, anyway. By the time Greed even got there, the fight had already started. It seemed lightning users were destroying planes, much to his agitation. He swerved around any officers that had arrive on the scene, going straight for the airfield and ignoring the hostages inside. The fence had a lock on it, but Greed didn't slow his cycle as he drew his gun again, the grip connecting to the chain on his wrist as he did, and shot the lock off. He stopped the bike just before the fence, kicking it open easily. He spotted something quickly. A man cowering inside of a fuel truck, used to refuel the planes. A plan formed.
"Get out." He barked at the driver. The man had the keys in the ignition already, he was probably going to refuel a plane when the attack happened. Greed took over his seat as the driver when the terrified worker scrambled off. He lined the car up slowly, so the truck wouldn't make too much noise, though he'd be shocked if the attackers could hear anything over the sound of their own thunder. Greed found a toolkit in the passenger seat. It was quite heavy. When he was just under 300 meters away and the truck was lined up, the battle with the other lightning user seemed to be holding the brothers' attention. First he removed the hose with a harsh tug, careful not to let any of the jet fuel get on him, then he put the toolbox on the gas pedal and the truck roared to life, heading towards the lightning brothers exposed back. He figured with all that lightning crackling around there was bound to be a boom, no? All he knew was that the gas was flammable. If he needed to, he'd shoot it himself when it got close enough. He drew his second gun, the grip connecting to the chain on his wrist just like the other one. | |

| As Kicker began to make short work of the people at the airport entrance an arrow zipped through the air past him. Little did the boy know when he avoided it, the person firing meant for him to dodge such an attack - the arrow exploded and a concussive blast emitted. The concussive force did no physical damage. No, it discombobulated all that were near it and since Kicker was the only one in the air it was just him who would feel the effects of the concussive grenade arrow.
If the teenage hero could see with his wobbly equilibrium and blurred vision he would notice the arrow was fired by a solider from far back behind enemy ranks with a metallic arm. It was Speedy, and the arm had a soviet star crested into it. Â The next arrow the boy shot flew true at Kicker, taking into affect where he would most likely dodge too if he even could with his status affects - of course assuming he was affected - although since he was registered there was nothing that was public knowledge that would suggest he wouldn't be affected.
The arrow, once it hit, or even knicked any part of his body would foam up and entrap the hero in a hardening substance that was meant too immobilize heroes with super strength.
Meanwhile, back at the air field the thunder brother's wave was dodged and a luggage cart was sent hurtling through the air carrying valuables and clothes - ties, aloha t-shirts, and underwear scattered all about. The hound was chasing the lightning brother who stopped running as it drew near and smiled as the shot of a gun was heard in the distance. There was no way the silver haired girl who was here for fun would've known that inside there was a hostage situation and one the perpetrators had a powerful sniper rile with an assisted aim eye-piece that worked like a slowmotion inducing highspeed camera, catching real time frame by frame. The line of fire of the sniper was calculated by Lighting when he stopped and had just led her pet into it for a perfect headshot at the current range.
Raiko's attack was headed for the Thunder brother's back. She was quick - but so was the speed of sound. The brother simply snapped his finger and amplified the sound. The thunderous shock wave that proceeded sent debris, the very ground he was standing over, and any planes near by flying or tipped over. So much raw power seemed beyond even super-human! The obstacles that splintered into the air afterwards buffered the electric attack and sent the vehicle side-winding through the air towards Thunder.
A lightning strike beat the van to impact however. It was the brother, Lightning - it looked as though both brothers had been blown to pieces by the exploding car, but then a rain cloud could be seen just over the blast radius and then a downpour began that doused the flames. The rain was heavier than most normal storms and happened in an instant. The two brother's were fine, the lightning one had bolted to the other in time and both had their arms folded as they made it rain, HARD! Thunder boomed, and lightning cracked as the entire city was engulfed in a storm - no longer just the airport would know their power. | |

| Kane was fired at by more men, whom he easily avoided in a blur before easily getting behind them and striking them all down before moving on to more men. As he was leaping at another group of men, an arrow whistled at him, he easily avoided it, but it appeared the enemy was expecting it. It exploded next to him, it didn't seem to have done anything at first, but then he was suddenly extremely disoriented.
While he was dizzy, another arrow was shot, he was so dizzy that he could barely see it, his first instinct was to jump up to avoid it, but since that would probably be expected, he dashed to the side. Instead of dynamically leaping to the side though, he ended up stumbling a bit and landing on the ground. As long as he was still disoriented he would stand no chance in this fight. | |

| "Oh!"
The dog goddess was surprised by the thunder brother's quick reflexes. Right before he could be hit by her electricity, he had distorted the landscape with his power and the debris created sufficiently distorted her attack. That was good. It wouldn't be fun if she had won so easily. She then heard the sound of a gunshot followed by a yelp from the direction of her familiar.
"Ah, that's not fair." Raiko exclaimed sarcastically as her lightning wolf was taken out by a shot from a sniper. Not that she knew what a sniper was. She did understand that someone with a gun was responsible and was shooting from somewhere far off. That someone was interfering with her game.
She didn't have time to voice out her complaints though. Heading in their general location was a runaway truck. The siblings spotted it as well and the lightning brother dealt with it by striking it down with heaven's wrath before it could get too close. As a result the force of the following explosion was not as strong as it should have been. Still, it scattered a large amount of flames that would certainly be dangerous to the combatants there. The siblings responded to that by making it rain. The downpour was so strong that the flames were doused away.
When the flames and smoke cleared, Raiko was standing there as well, unharmed for the most part. She was holding an open umbrella like a shield to protect her from the fire and explosion. A close up of her face would show that she was pouting.
"Ara, ara. So many people are getting in my way. Do I really have no choice but to eliminate all the distractions first?"
Her ears twitched as her eyes wandered surveying her surroundings. She did not care about it before but besides armed men engaged in combat on another part of the runway, there seemed to be a situation in the building as well. That was where the shot that dissipated her familiar came from. Such a nuisance. She turned her head and took one step towards the direction of the building, turning her back on the siblings.
As she took her second step however, a surge of electricity erupted from her feet using the rainwater on the ground and raindrops as a conductor. She tilted her head back, half her face looking at the brothers while silently mouthing the words: "Just kidding."
The siblings were both wet. There was no blocking this, was what she thought. Drenching everything with water would now work to their disadvantage. | |

| Greed took notice first to the sniper in the area. The familiar sound of gunfire like music to his ears. Except the opposite. It was like someone was poaching on his turf. Guns were his thing. Which loser thought they could steal from Greed?
The explosion pulled him from the train of thought. He grinned, thinking the brother met their firey demise but was proven wrong when the rain started, leaving only a black smog of smoke as evidence of the flames. He was not amused. Then the rain spread like a flood, and soon it was pouring hard enough to stretch across the city.
"...hn."
He was glad, though. Rain like this would nearly render the snipers useless unless they came with tents and towels to keep the water out of their scopes. All equipment he didn't figure would be easy to sneak into an airport, and since the attack was a surprise surely they didn't have time to set up, right? He wouldn't bet his life on it. He moved quickly, getting behind a piece of what used to be the truck that had been blown close to him for cover. He was still in range of the brothers, wondering if they were fast enough to dodge bullets. He'd find out soon.
"But then who are you..?"
He asked to himself, looking at the girl who sent electricity towards the brothers. He waited until her attack was dealt with to open fire with his armor piercing rounds if they were still in range. Meta's didn't need his mercy and he was in a bad mood. He'd shoot ten bullets from each gun at them if they stayed in range. | |

| Thunder and Lightning began to fade into the storm cloud as both people who stood before them made their moves. The bullets and the electricity hit the cloud and dispersed it, but they were gone. On another cloud from up above the two appeared - they danced, they clapped, they thundered, and they poured until another forest of lighting strikes dispersed from the heavens above and began striking plane after plane as well as striking at the two beings at random.
There was a tell however that they would be the one's struck next. They would feel their hairs stand up on their head, arms and legs - almost as if a targeting system had locked onto them. Airplane wings melted, hatches caught a blaze, and landing gear collapsed as the bolts rained down again and again. The rain continued as well, oh how it rained.
The storm was here, it was strong and it was here to stay.
Meanwhile, inside the lobby with the planes all broken or destroyed by the Thunder brother's and the bridge mission a success there was no need to keep the hostages alive. The order came to line every pedestrian up in the lobby and to film the execution for the people of Jump City.
By the front entrance where Kicker and Jump City's forces were dog fighting it out with the Russian military Arsenal was laying cover fire. High-explosive round arrows flew from his bow scattering the police and suppression units. Additionally, the soldiers had broken out their rocket launchers which were fired at Kicker specifically, or at least his general vicinity. | |

| Kane barely noticed the huge downpour that fell from the sky, compared to his problems, getting a little wet was hardly the biggest of his concerns. If Arsenal had continued to attack him, he would have been toast, but he seemed to be ignoring him and deciding that the soldiers would take him, even in his condition, he was avoiding them like they were nothing.
His head was finally starting to clear, he saw what was going on inside, he needed to go and help them, but the large unit of Russian troops and Arsenal weren't just going to let him past. It broke his heart, but he knew he had to clean up here, if he even could beat Arsenal that is. Kane was much faster and much stronger, but Arsenal was damn good with that bow and he had a collection of gadgets worthy of his codename. Kane would take him out instantly in a close combat fight, but Arsenal was a long range fighter and an expert at keeping people like Kane away.
Kane decided to use his one advantage against Arsenal, he kicked into the air and used his powers to stay in the air, he leapt at super heights and super speeds to avoid shot after shot after shot at him. Against Arsenal, his mastery over the air was his only chance of success in this fight. Kane went high, so much that he was struggling for breath until he went down again, zigzagging as nothing but a blur towards Arsenal. If he made it far enough, he would swing his foot at Arsenal's side at full speed, doing enough to hopefully take him out. | |

| The inugami stared up at the sky, occasionally moving her free hand to catch incoming lightning bolts at her before harmlessly dispersing it around her by infusing it with her own electricity and causing the energy to scatter. She didn't care much for anything else that got hit. She was not in the mood to try catching them all. In the end, she couldn't help but sigh. Despite her attempts to throw herself in their faces, the storm siblings had their attention focused on other objectives.
"I guess I should try to play a little more seriously~"
The dog goddess smiled. She turned into lightning and shot up into the sky, coordinating her movement at the same moment lightning bolts struck down. Once she was up there, she turned invisible to hide the timing of her attack as her hands swiftly delivered half-ton power chops to the back of the siblings heads. True she would be revealed as soon as she made contact, but they would be too busy getting knocked out to do anything about it. | |

| Greed wasn't a scientist or a meteorologist, but he could feel the drastic changing of the weather. He was irritated that his attacks had failed, but didn't think too much about it. The rainy and wind blew his hair wildly but he remained sharp. He saw the other electric user get attacked by the lightning, diffusing it with her own. He frowned. Seemed so easy. Then he felt his own hair stand up and his instincts told him he was in trouble. He trusted them, quickly running forward. The lightning strike narrowly missed, and he still felt the jolt lightly up his calves. He gave a smug chuckle. The brothers were still in range.
"Can't run forever!" He shouted at them, opening fire. He let loose ten shots from both guns, never slowing his run. He was a good shot, and running would normally hinder that as would the rain. He shot the heavy armor piercing rounds as well, so he imagined only about five from each gun would be on point. In the meantime, he narrowly dodged another lightning strike thanks to his amazing reflexes. | |

| The brothers had completed their mission. They watched from the skyline as the fires from their thunderstorm danced from broken planes that littered the runway and then died as the pouring rain continued. And although Raiko was an amazing goddess as she drew near the two storm brothers she had failed to respect their power as well - this was their storm. They lived in it, they could breathe, sleep, and see clearly in buffered surroundings. The pouring rain hitting her solid body was a last minute tell to save the two from knock out blows as she drew near them.
Both teenage elemental children were shocked to see the rain droplets wrapping around a figure which struck them both and sent the teens darting towards the ground below. However as the elementals plummeted from the atmosphere both Thunder and Lightning prepared to use their ultimate counter attack while descending through midair. With the mission done and both of them injured they would need to rid themselves of this enemy in one go.
...
The sound of a gun shot pierced the air as a bullet flew clean through Thunder's abdomen and then Lightning in the shoulder as he turned to see where the shot came from. Thunder created a sound barrier by harnessing the sound of thunder in the sky and manipulated the sound waves to distort the direction of the bullets, meanwhile Lightning zipped through the air to his fast falling brother's side in the form of a lightning bolt and together the twins formed yet another cloud much like the one Raiko had just knocked them from.
Thunder spit up blood as he struggled to keep the shield up with one hand and favored his gunshot wound with the other. The battle had took a turn for the worst. Two other supernatural forces of nature had teamed up against the two. To make matter's worse Lightning's arm was lame and both kin were unable to see straight and were fairly winded due to the female lightning goddess's surprise attack.
It was time to go - abort mission. The two brother's held hands and began to fade into the clouds as the storm dispersed.
------
Arsenal shot arrows but each time Kicker moved out of range. It was time to fake an opening. Everyone knew an Archer's weakness was melee fighting. In fact you could say Speedy was counting on this. Normal people would be worried by a blur coming at them, but these eyes had seen it all, and moving fast was no more intimidating as the world slowing to a halt. He could perceive both well enough. As the blur drew next to him the super reflexes of the robotic limb flung his arm into place to block the blow. The iconic sound resonated as Kicker's leg struck the metal limb but in the end he found the former Titan's metallic fingers tightly wrapped around his ankle. The teen then tossed Kicker sideways and readied an arrow that seemed aimed towards the hero but in reality it would go off before reaching him - a flash-bang arrow.
This one would blare a very bright light to blind Kicker, but not the Russian traitor who had on a mask to block the brightness of the light. He readied another arrow but was told via intercom that Lightning and Thunder were down and defeated. It was time to abandon the battle. If Kicker was blinded by the light by the time the arrow's affect wore off Arsenal would be gone but the Russian soldiers would still be in the midst of retreating.
Meanwhile inside the airport bloody bodies of passengers laid scattered throughout the terminals - strollers, luggage, and baggage claim had compiled splatters of unidentifiable liquids smeared all over them. An execution had taken place here and the video capturing it all was posted on the internet for all to see. This war was now public, gruesome, and the people of Jump City definitely no longer felt safe. | |
