Midtown was always bustling this time of year. Shopping for Christmas presents, grocery shopping for those big family sized dinners. People caroling and ringing bells for donations outside of every door. Or at least that's how it'd usually be around this time, but not this year. Jump City was at war, and people were afraid. There were the few brave ones that would continue their lives and jobs as normal, ignoring the danger and threats. Although today probably would've been a good day to skip the grocery list on your list of chores.

Suddenly a large explosion was heard and a large crevasse formed in the entrance wall to the Supermarket. The explosion however wasn't a bomb, but a certain meta ramming into the wall like a battering ram. As soon as the wall came down and the smoke cleared, a certain meta-not necessarily human stood in the new entrance he formed.

The rattle and build of armored trucks could be seen pulling in and around the building and another face followed in behind Wildebeest.

"LOAD THE TRUCKS!" The she-beast of a woman commanded to the Russian soldiers. People panicked and screamed in the isles and others ducked and covered behind the counters, cowering and trying to stay out of harms way.

Although startled by the sudden loud bangs, one girl didn't panic and instead responded by investigating. Jumping up onto the high pile of stacked soda boxes shaped like a Christmas tree, she crossed her arms and stared down the intruders. "Oi!! There's sliding doors for a reason!" She yelled, then raised an eyebrow as she caught glimpse of the two...odd, animal mutated metas, but who was she to judge on appearance, especially since she had a tail swaying behind her and twitching cat ears on her head.
Suddenly one of the intruders, known as Wildebeest, charged forward, ramming into the boxes and cans of carbonated drinks. Haruhi managed to leap off and balance on top of one of the isles. "Alright....if that's how you want it be.." She said about to make her move, but caught a glimpse of something moving in the corner of her eye, and turned just in time to see Pantha pounce at her with extended claws. Haruhi let herself fall off of the isle and spun to catch herself before she hit the ground. However as she landed, Pantha came crashing down in front of her and aimed a strong punch, which Haruhi didn't have time to dodge, only lift her arms up in cross formation to block. The punch however was so strong, it sent the cat girl soaring back and crashing into the deli department. "Nh...ow..." Haruhi struggled to sit up, that was quite a hit, she was lucky the packaged meats had cushioned her fall or else the girl wouldn't of probably been able to get back up at all.

Pantha crouched, ready to pounce upon Haruhi like a Panther gets ready to attack prey, Haruhi was pretty stunned by that attack and it didn't look like she'd get out of the way in time. Of course, she still might have, but we'll never know because Pantha's attention was thrown off by something hitting her head. She looked down and saw that it was a tin can that hit her head, she looked in the direction of the thrower and her eyes beheld the least impressive figure she had ever seen.

The thrower was a tall but thin boy wearing a hoodie and a mask to cover his face, he didn't look like much, the cat girl was more physically impressive than him, but they knew who he was. He had hospitalized dozens of soldiers at the airport, resulting in the capture of many of them, he had embarrassed them again at the hospital and helped taken out the commander, and he had taken out the squad of soldiers that invaded Nuvision labs before it mysteriously exploded and Jericho went MIA. They knew Kicker very well.

Kicker grinned his cheshire-like smile, chuckling when he realized that all eyes were on him Hey everyone, it's me, everyone's favourite Russia-basher! he raised his hands into the air victoriously, like he had just scored in a sports match. He noticed Haruhi and waved Hey! What's up Pussycat? he threw a can into the air casually, then kicked it at Pantha with the force of a car ramming into her, though this would not do much So, who wants to have a go? C'mon, don't be shy

Suddenly, another explosion happened in the supermarket right over the Russian heads to mock the battering ram explosion.

Bio appeared in his strange costume munching on energy bars and burping.

"Kicker, Kicker, Kicker... You honestly think you're the superstar here?! You got a lot of guts I'll give ya that! Bioshock, the Hardcore KING, dispute you on your self-given title."

The explosion was of a maroon liquid that landed on the Russian soldiers. It quickly would turn into a web of sinews connecting them all together like a spider-web. This wasn't meant to be a copy of spiderman or arachna kid.

Bio quickly jumped and landed on one of the sinews sending a signal to send a prick of stem cell poison into their bodies, immediately paralyzing them. The sinews in a microsecond turned into dust.

With a grin he looked at the metas.

"So, who's next?"

Haruhi stood up and saw Pantha about to pounce again but was then thrown off by a can to the head. It caught both her and Haruhi's attention as Kicker made his "grand" entrance, to which the cat girl just rolled her eyes to, but at the same time gave a faint smile, glad for the assistance, Pantha however was unimpressed. Another explosion then caught all of their attention and in came another hero, who was known by the name of BioShock, as he had introduced himself as. Haruhi then saw a red liquid that then turned into a sort of net envelop the russian soldiers who were either loading the trucks or had their guns pointed at the heroes. As the web like substance evaporated, it was clear it had been used to immobilize the soldiers as they all stood, frozen in their tracks.

Pantha was now getting impatient as the boys continued to, well you know, be boys, catching the can he kicked at her in the air and crushing it before dropping it. "Yes i know who you are." Pantha said as she punched the palm of her hand, she had a thick hispanic accent as she spoke up. "A nuisance."
Just then Wildebeest came charging in again, this time running at full speed towards the Kicker.

Haruhi jumped out of the pile of meat and charged at Pantha as she still had her attention on the boys, but as Haruhi approached her, Pantha turned and brought her arm up just in time to block the girl's kick. Pantha smirked as she grabbed the girl's leg and hurled her towards the wall. Haruhi spun in the air and kicked off the wall and landed in a crouched position as she looked up at her apponent, Haruhi knew there was no way she could beat her at hand to hand combat, by the looks of it, she had the same abilities as her, but with much greater strength. Her eyes then went wide as Pantha picked up a whole isle shelf and threw it the blonde kitty's way, which she barely managed to dodge by a mere second as the woodwork crashed and shattered against the wall.

Kicker grinned when a third hero made his entrance, Kane had met Bioshock before, at the hospital, he was a great hero, one of the best, almost as good as Kane himself. Bioshock just ran his mouth, which made Kane grin You're second rate, Bioshock, I don't need to beat someone of your caliber to prove I'm the ultimate Russia-basher! But if you insist, I'll take you on!

Then Bioshock took down all the russian soldiers nearly effortlessly, he hadn't even broken a sweat, Kane whistled appreciatively I'm gonna have to kick ass pretty hard to beat that Apparently Wildebeest was pretty sick of their trash talk fest, because he charged at Kicker at full pace. Kane just smirked and ran at Wildebeest, but then he jumped right over his head, causing the fool to run into the wall, Hah!

Sadly, it became significantly less funny when Wildebeest took it like it was nothing and turned around to charge at Kane again. Kane jovially laughed and jumped into the air over Wildebeests head as he charged, but this time he rebounded off the air and kicked Wildebeest through the wall. Kane laughed excitedly when Wildebeest got up from even that Hehehe, interesting...

It seemed as if Kicker, as always, was more than capable of handling himself in the strength/beat- em-up department. The meta catgirl, on the other hand, was a bit outclassed to handle Pantha alone from the looks of it. As Pantha picked up the isle shelf and threw it, Bio sprint skated over and did a rock slide underneath the flying isle roughly around the time Haruhi would be dodging with a quick but assertive "M'lady".

He did this while looking at Haruhi and firing a precise gas shot at Pantha's face. If breathed in, the gas would have an almost asthmatic effect on the opponent's nervous system and weaken them mentally and consequently physically for 5 minutes.

"You have anything besides super-strength? Cuz I got plenty. If you don't, you can be the distraction and I'll take her down."

Haruhi saw the gas hit Pantha's face and she began wheezing and even fell down onto one knee. Giving the cat girl and Bioshock a chance to plan out an attack. Haruhi straightened up, keeping her eyes glued on the Panther-luchadora.
"I have more than just superstrength, but her superstrength is far superior than mine. It seems however, that other than our differences in strength, our powers are almost identical." She said "I do have a move up my sleeve that should work against her." Haruhi admitted, although she wasn't used to using this ability of hers quite yet. "It would be better if we both went in and attacked her together, it would-" just then the sound of gun fire could be heard and Russian soldiers yelling, in well, Russian as more entered the premises, loaded and armed. "Watch out!" Haruhi said, leaping off to the side, ducking behind a counter as the soldiers began to fire.

Wildebeest hurled an isle at Kane, akin to what Pantha had done with Haruhi, but Kane had a different solution than just dodging the blow; no no no, that would not be showing off nearly enough. Instead his solution was to kick the isle so that it flew back at Wildebeest in several pieces Nice try, big guy! Wildebeest was not even injured by this, but it did anger him that Kicker was not at all taking him seriously, he ran at Kicker but instead of just trying to ram him, he lashed out with his fists, but hit only air before he was launched into the air with a kick.

Some Russian soldiers then charged in, but they were easy, compared to guys like Pantha or Wildebeest, they might as well have been toy soldiers. Kicker grinned, their focus was on Haruhi and Bioshock, they weren't even focused on Kane, this would be a slaughter! He jumped into the air and went inbetween the ranks of the Russian soliders, then he stomped on the ground full force! The shockwave generated by his stomp sent Russians flying everywhere and things were blown off isles.

Kane turned to Pantha, ready to help Haruhi and Bioshock out, when all of a sudden Kane felt something smack into the side of him super hard, he felt himself lift into the air and crash into a wall and go right through it and go through the wall of the next building and hit the ground hard and then he just laid there. He didn't have the strength to look, but if he had he would see that a food covered Wildebeest had hit him, Kane had thought that his kick had taken Wildebeest out, it had had even more force behind it than the kick before, but apparently enough force to destroy a small truck only did enough to break a few ribs.

Kane lay there, pain all over, while Wildebeest turned to aid his Luchadoress ally.

Although he was thrown in the impact of Kane's stomp the yard move, Bio was undeterred in his efforts to troll the hell out of the Russians.

"Hey guys. Maybe we should take out the real problem so we can round up the mortals."

He rushed a bit to the side for a good angle aimed a shot at Wildebeest. This one was an anti-armor shot aimed to pierce the skin. If it worked, she would be down for the count paralyzed by an Adam cell infection. If not, he aimed so that the force of the anti-armor high speed bullet would knock him into any soldiers or Pantha in an oblique angle to allow for some breathing room.

Haruhi glanced out from behind the counter in time to see the impact of Kane crack and create a crater where he sent the soldiers flying with a mighty stomp to the ground. However, not so long after that, he was sent hurtling through the wall as Wildebeast rammed into him. "Kicker!" Haruhi saw Bio then shoot of a couple rounds of...something at The Wildebeest, to which he just swatted off the first shot but was pushed back into his partner Pantha, with the second. Pantha, who by now had controlled her wheezing and breathing, caught her comrade and with her strength, easily stopped him from being pushed back any further.
"Alright Bio, you want a distraction? I'll give you a distraction. Make sure to hit them this time though." Haruhi spoke softly to Bioshock as she walked past him, towards the two mutant meta-animal hybrids.
She lunged herself at them, then leapt high over them. "Two against one let's go!" She yelled at them as she landed on the other side of 'em. Pantha gave signal to wildebeest however, to go after Bio while she deales with the cat-girl. Haruhi hid behind a pyramid of soup cans, which she then began to kick at Pantha, like in soccer practice, one right after the other. Pantha, just like Haruhi had good reflexes, so to her dodging them or catching them was child's play. However, she then decided to charge at the cat-girl to which Haruhi was for once ready. She sprinted into one of the isles to which Pantha followed. As soon as she went around the wooden frame and skid into view, she was met with a bag of flour to her face, which burst and blinded and just covered the air around her face in the white powder. Haruhi took the chance, and charged at her while her guard was down and sent a flying kick to her face which only caused her to stumble back slightly.
Wildebeest had his attention drawn on Bio, as he charged full on towards the boy.

While Kane's kick hadn't taken Wildebeest out, he hadn't exactly taken it in his stride, he had been weakened by the force of the kick and that had been the only reason his attack hadn't killed Kane. As it was though, his punch had still hurt like blazes and the impact through the walls hadn't helped. Kane struggled to his feet, groaning loudly and wincing in pain, he started slowly walking back through the holes he had made, although at this point any contribution he could possibly make wouldn't be very useful.

A blur rushed past Kane as he walked in, and a bottle of pills- painkillers- hit the ground in front of him. Before he could turn to see who it was, though, the figure had already rushed into the supermarket through the hole he had exited from. While the man didn't have enhanced speed, he was still quite agile and fast.

Kuro ducked behind an aisle, peeking at the pile of soldiers. Making sure there were no stragglers, Kuro darted out from behind the aisle over the bodies, snatching up two grenades. He ran for Wildebeest, coming out from behind an aisle to end up beside Bio. "Make this shot count," he said, running forward to Wildebeest and meeting him head on in his charge...or so it seemed. As soon as he got within Wildebeest's swinging distance, he would drop down to the floor, sliding lithely between his legs as he ran over Kuro. On the way below Wildebeest, during his slide he would lash out a grappling line for around his waist.

If for some reason Wildebeest didn't avoid it, it would wrap around his waist with the two grenades attached to it by their rings. Kuro would activate the grappling mechanism to make a spike on the end and then retract the cables so that one, Wildebeest would not be pulling him along for the ride, and two, the cable would pull the rings off of the grenades but leave the grenades live with Wildebeest as he charged at Bio.

He knew how these heroes liked to work, and was sure the grenades wouldn't kill Wildebeest. They would be potentially devastating for his rib cage, though. Trusting the rest to Bio, Kuro quickly darted across the store to help Haruhi with Pantha, a hand on an HF-blade, ready to draw it. Just because they didn't kill, it didn't mean he couldn't maim.

"Really?"

Bio had already formed a matador cape on his back in the stead of the gun for biomass conservation. He was bouncing on his toes when this guy came in. He was so ready for his next trick he didn't even get a glance at the newcomer. As the grenades on Wildebeest exploded he covered his face. Wildebeest would be in pain and stalled, making this trick much less risky.

"Uh, thanks... Batman?..."

He said and ran at Wildebeest to throw the cape over Wildebeest's head.

A primordial thought enhanced the cape Suffocate

The cape of living matter would wrap around Wildebeest's neck. It would constrict around his neck and was programmed to perfectly cut off his air supply to the point where he would slip out of consciousness but not die. Even if it didn't work, the pause would give Bio ample time to fire one shot that would paralyze his joints.
