| Ace had already started his escape when he heard his opponent calling out to him. Turning around, he saw her standing there and noticed both the blood and the lack of fire surrounding her. Looks like I did more damage than I intended... "What, are you not done beating me up? I've had enough, thank you very much. I'll think I'll let the police deal with you. This is too much trouble." he called back. Just like his opponent, he had sustained a bit of damage, as evidenced by the charred holes in his clothing and the red skin underneath. | |

| If the circumstances had been different, Violet would laugh at the idea of the police handling her in a fight. However, she was drained, and there was a large fire continuing to spread towards residential areas. She couldn't handle the guilt if that fire caused any casualties. "Look, be mad or whatever, but leave me with this." She gestured toward the fiery grass. "I can't control now it thanks to you." | |

| "Thanks to me? You chose to fight me instead of putting out the fires and walking away. This problem is your responsibility. As you can see, I didn't get out of this scot-free, so helping you is not one of my priorities. Now, give me one good reason why I should help you." Ace replied, a hint of anger in his tone. She starts a fire she can't control, attacks me, and then tries to blame me for her crime. Pathetic. he thought to himself. | |

| If she wasn't this tired, this kid would have a face full of flames right now. "You chose to confront me! I was minding my own freaking business with a small, contained fire in the grass until you came along." She felt heated. Why did people always think they had the right to mess with someone else? This was why she usually kept to herself. "I was gonna practice for maybe an hour, put out the fire, and go home. Not anymore. This is just as much, if not more, your fault. Besides, if you're a hero, why would you leave these people at my will?" Violet was hoping to corner the hero with his own dumb logic. | |

| "I gave you the choice of putting out your fire and leaving, but you chose to stay and fight. Also, that fire didn't start spreading until late in our fight, suggesting that you had control of it until then and could have put it out. If there weren't civilians involved, I'd leave you here to deal with this mess yourself. So consider yourself lucky." Ace replied as he floated his cards back towards his opponent. Once the pile of cards reached her, they landed on the ground and he stepped off with a wince. "So, what's your plan for dealing with this? In case you didn't notice, I'm almost out of cards." | |

| After cooling down about who's fault this was, and ignoring this hero's meddling in her business, she thought about this. "Um." Violet hadn't necessarily planned on this situation. "I haven't put out a fire without my powers since.. I don't even know when." She looked at the grass fire, which was still spreading toward houses on the street. This was not good at all. "Um..." She was lost. She had absolutely no idea what to do. Well %#!@. "I don't have one..." She hated to admit this, but time was running out and this was no time to play games. | |

| "...Seriously? You come all the way out here to practice with fire, and you have no backup plan for when things go wrong? No wonder the heroes always win, the villains never make prepare for anything except everything going according to plan." Ace mocked, before becoming serious again. "Sorry, not the time for mocking. Anyway, we need something that can put that fire out." he continued, looking around for anything that could work. Great...there's nothing here! he thought angrily. "If you had any suggestions at all, now would be the time to share them." | |

| "If heroes always win, you wouldn't have taken that shot at me and then tried to run off. And don't peg me as a villain. I'm just looking out for myself, I don't care what that takes. Alright? Anyway," She thought for a minute about the fire. Honestly, she could just wait out the energy drain, but that was risky. Still, she didn't see another way out of this. She inwardly sighed and cursed herself. "See how many people you can get out of here. Looks like I'm just gonna have to get up the energy to put this out." She felt stupid and irresponsible. She was so mad, but she had to try to restrain herself. If she got too mad, the fire would grow at an accelerated rate. "And try not to provoke me. It won't be good for the situation." She cooled her tone, closed her eyes, and took a deep breath. | |

| Ace nodded in response, moving towards the nearest house as quick as he could. "Don't get yourself hurt." he called back as he continued onward. Normally I wouldn't be one to take orders, but we don't have a whole ton of options right now. he thought as he knocked on the door to the first house. "Get yourself and anybody else in that house with you out. There is a serious fire risk here. Go around to your neighbors' houses and tell them to leave as well. Don't ask questions, just go." Ace said as soon as the door was opened. He then hurried to the next house, keeping an eye on the girl. Come on... | |

| Violet laughed a little. Like this hero actually cares if I get hurt. Looking up at the clear night sky, not a single cloud was in sight. As much as I absolutely hate rain, it would be really freaking helpful right now.She took another deep breath. The fire was almost at the steps of the nearest house when she took it under containment. She didn't really have that much energy, but she didn't want to be responsible for burning down houses. She also knew she didn't have the energy to put out a whole house. She watched the kid go from house to house, urging people out. Another deep breath. This was already a pretty big fire to be trying to put out. Usually she would just take on the fire and use it as an armor, but she would start another fire under her feet.
About a minute passed, and the fire started shrinking. Slowly. It was the best Violet could do. This is definitely not what I had planned for tonight.

| Ace stopped for a breath once he had cleared out the fifth house. By this point, many of the neighbors were spreading the news as well, speeding up the evacuation. Upon catching his breath, Ace turned back towards the flames and saw that they had started to shrink. Perfect. Finally something goes well. he thought as he walked back towards the other teen. | |

| When Violet saw cardtrick kid returning, she relaxed a bit. She would never admit this, but it made her feel better about the situation having someone else there to help.
She was concentrating all her energy on containing and extinguishing the fire. All of it. She wasn't quite sure what would happen if she managed to put the whole thing out. When the fire was about half way contained, she felt herself stumble. Seriously, universe? Just let me at least get rid of this fire. She became less and less cognizant as the fire shrank. When it was down to the size of a campfire, she couldn't hold it anymore. "Hey, you...Think you could, uh, smother that or something..? She laid down on the ground. She was exhausted.

| Ace watched as the fire was steady brought down, relieved that the girl had been able to control it. If she had run off, there would have been no way to stop this. he thought. The fire user seemed to be completely exhausted when the fire was nearly out, and asked if he could finish it. "No problem." he replied, walking over to the significantly smaller fire and stamping on it a few times to put it out. He then sat down on the grass beside her, the exhaustion from the events setting in. "Thanks. There's no way I could have put that fire out if you weren't here." | |

| "Don't mention it." She closed her eyes for a moment. Next time, I'm using a candle. "This wasn't supposed to happen. Guess I got my practice in..." She always got what she wanted. "I don't think I caught your name." | |

| "Things rarely happen the way they're supposed to." Ace replied. "The name's Ace." Normally I wouldn't tell people my actual name, but she'll probably just think it's a code name. he thought. "What's your name?" | |
