Just practice

Subject: Just practice Sun Jan 22, 2012 1:06 am

After leaving the docks, Jason had taken Haruhi and Mr Pacific most of the way across town and into the woods of Steel City. Hidden by the nature around them, Jason would be able to teach them the basics of what he had planned for them without being disturbed by someone for being outside. Using the scanners in his helmet, Jason scans over the surrounding areas to check for any campers or any teenagers that snuck out after he jumped and pulled himself onto a tree branch. Coming back down, Jason nods his head at his two proteges, giving the sign that no one was around which was what Jason thought already since he had this location scouted for use to himself for awhile now. Walking over to a patch of grass, Jason gets on one of his knees and pulls up a chain that was attached to a metal door under the grass. Pulling the door up, Jason then ushers the two kids to come over to him by waving his hand. In front of him was a collection of weapons that were both lethal and nonlethal stored for use when Jason needed them.

Your first session will begin tonight so when you two are ready, come get a weapon from here to use. After that, I want to see you give it your all against one another so I can see what you two really need to improve on.

They had to fight each other? Pacific didn't feel comfortable fighting a lady, but he couldn't let that stop him. Haruhi was on the same team. She would face the same dangers that he would. Pacific couldn't treat Haruhi special. Besides, she had powers to protect her.

Pacific picked up a pair of nun-chucks from Red Hood's weapon collection. They were his weapon of choice. Standing opposite of Haruhi, Pacific took a defensive stance and waited for her to attack.

Haruhi walked up to the weapon batch and pulled out two dull daggers. She turned them in her hands, and examined them.

"Are you sure about this?"
Seeing mr pacific pull out some nunchucks and stand in a fighting stance and face her, Haruhi shrugged and followed with a stance of her own and stood a ways from him.

So Haruhi was playing defensive, too. Pacific decided to go on the offensive. He walked towards her, making sure to keep a firm footing. His nun-chucks swirled in a threatening pattern, ready to strike. If he got close enough, he would feint an attack for the face and then strike at the arm he assumed would try to block.

It seemed Mr. Pacific was going offensive, as he walked closer. Haruhi kept her position and kepther eyes on his stance. As he was getting closer, nun-chucks swinging, he aimed a feint attack and then an attack towards her arm, reacting she lifted the dagger and blocked the first two hits easily. She then went in for a counter attack, in the stance she was now with both daggers blocking she turned her body to where she was almost side and side with him and then elbowed him in the chest backwards.
"Sorry Pacific." She wondered if she should tone it down a bit, i mean she was faster, but she didn't know what Red Hood was looking for.

Haruhi made use of her impressive speed to block Pacific's attacks and then elbow him in the chest. She really knew what she was doing. Her aggressive positioning hadn't given Pacific a chance to repost. Fortunately, Pacific's armor under his costume absorbed the elbow from Haruhi. He suddenly loved his armor a lot.

Moving with the momentum of Haruhi's elbow strike, Pacific spun around low and swung one nun-chuck at her knees, keeping the other one defensively above his head.

As the two young Night Hawks started their spar, Jason stood a few yards away to give them room. Examining their movements, Jason takes note of Pacific's feint attack and the second swing, which Haruhi blocked both of before moving to her friend's side and hitting him in the chest. A retaliation of Pacific spinning with the force of the elbow strike, Pacific swings one of his nunchuks at Haruhi's knee after Haruhi paused to think about what she did.

Here's where the first take down will be. But who's going to be on the ground? Haruhi is in the position to topple over Pacific right now.

Haruhi saw mr pacific respond with a hit towards her knee. She jumped but it still managed to hit her leg. Ow it hurt, not just an 'ow that hurt' but an 'Ow my leg!' kind of hurt. It made her wince. She landed back and lowered her daggers and looked at red hood.
"Seriously, what is the point in this."

BIC: Pacific's attack had hit. He felt guilt for hurting a girl. Haruhi lowered her weapons. Was she actually injured? He hoped not.

Haruhi turned to Red Hood and asked what the point of this was. "He's testing us to see where we are," Pacific rushed at Haruhi and whipped a nun-chuck at her stomach. If it hit, it would hurt but not cause any damage. "and he didn't say stop." Haruhi had almost been shot in the last fight. Pacific would not allow her to be in such danger again. She had to be prepared for anything.

Responding to Mr. Pacific she spun and blocked his blow towards her stomach with one of her daggers. So he wanted to know where they were in fighting. okay.
She then heard Jason ask if they wanted a break, but they had just started. Was he seeming to nice for a villian? wait he was avillian wasnt he? "No its okay, lets keep going"

Haruhi was finally going to get into it. No more complaining it was time to see where she needed work.

Haruhi had refused to take a break and quickly countered her leader's swipe. She had a lot of skill for fighting. Jason saw that she could take her friend down if she went on the offensive, but she kept from pushing herself to. Is it because of her weapon choice and she doesn't want to hurt him?

Admiring both of their talent, Todd starts thinking on how to get their abilities to be really useful to them. The sound of a breeze traveling through the woods catches Jason's attention suddenly, making him look out to the edge of the field him and the Night Hawks were in.

A long moment of pause occurred then as the Nighthawk's continued their battle and Jason looked away, when suddenly two shimmering objects flew towards his head and both missed as Red Hood lunged out of the way having noticed the source of the thrown shuriken after all. The shuriken were shaped like bat wings, but didn't have the pointy ears. Jason would recognize them as wing-dings; a signature weapon of Nightwing. Although, Nightwing wouldn't have made the mistake of letting Jason notice him so early on. Although good, this sneak attacker wasn't him. After lunging the the projectiles at Todd and they both missed colliding with each other in mid air as a metal clanking noise followed that would definitely alert the other two heroes in the area. Out of the brush came flipping out a human body donning a Nightwingesk costume, but slightly different in design for it lit up around the upper body (during stealth mode this feature is off) and a lit up light blue biker like bird helmet upon his head. His attack was quick and in the form of a long arching downward backflip kick, which Jason blocked with his forearms and then pushed back flipping the new comer off of him. The attacker then performed yet another tuck through the air after being knocked off and landed on his feet.

A quiet then loomed though the air for a moment as the slightly scrawnier, but by no means tiny assumed assassin stared at Todd mentally accessing the situation and his target. He definitely took note to both Haruhi and Pacific, but paid them no mind for his main priority was securing the Red Hood.

Haruhi was fast. Pacific tried all of his moves against her, but she was able to block or dodge every one of them. He couldn't help feeling like she was holding back. Was it because she didn't want to beat the team's leader? Pacific knew that he was the weakest fighter among the team. That was why he wanted to get stronger. He didn't want to rely on sending his allies into combat for him while he relied on tactics.

He thought about using his Mace, but that would defeat the purpose of this training. He couldn't rely on weapons. He had to fight Haruhi himself. Even though he was clearly losing this fight, Pacific threw his nun-chucks to the side. He would rely on his own body for a weapon from this point on. He sent a roundhouse kick at Haruhi's chest. She was fast enough to dodge it, but she probably wouldn't be able to block it with her knives. Legs were stronger than arms, and Pacific was wearing armor on his legs underneath his costume.

Suddenly, an assassin jumped out of the brush and attacked Red Hood. Well this was no good. The training would be in vain if their instructor died. Pacific looked at Haruhi quickly. "Truce?"

Seeing the two shurikens coming at him, Jason dodges the projectiles by jumping to the side. After hearing the two clang against each other, Jason notices that his assailant left their hiding spot and flipping in the air to take Jason down with a kick. Raising his hands to catch the guy's foot, Red Hood pushes the attacker back. Taking a look at the outfit being worn, Jason feels anger brewing inside him.

A new member of the Batfamily is wanting to take me in? Who are you? I know you're not Dick, he wouldn't have tried to rush me. Did he take you as a student? He must have forgot to teach you a few lessons or you're really cocky. Which is it?

Waiting on the man's reply, Red Hood was determined to get one out of him. If he didn't give one right away, Jason was ready to fight the mystery man.
