| It had been a long day, to say the least, for Zarakc. It had started out with him heading out to Jump City around midday, taking to flying there in his hawk form. The time spent there was delegated to just browsing some of the familiar areas around Jump City and the rest, and admittedly, the most interesting time was spent going to the National Bank. That visit most certainly didn't go as planned. Should have been simple, go in deposit money and then get out. It turned out to be everything but that. Of course the money turned up being tied to a string of robberies and that brought the cops in, and the questioning involving that certainly wouldn't have ended well, let alone in his release. That was why he had to run, and of course some scrawny Titan got involved and trapped him. Such an annoying girl, conversing with that Titan was quite a headache, it not helping that her powers had her at an advantage that had left him with no choice but to try and talk with her to hopefully let him go. She did end up letting him go, though she certainly tried to make sure that she let him go into police custody. The day's more exciting moment replayed in his head, relieved that he managed to get away, though quite discontented at how he got into that whole situation.
Zarakc flew down into an alley close to the apartments, the dark of the night hiding his approach. Once he landed, he reverted back to his regular form. He brought a hand to his face and rubbed at his eyes, today took a lot out of him and he was most certainly ready to get in his apartment and just crash. As he walked out of the alley and turned towards the apartments, he didn't exactly pick up to the group of Red-Haired Dragons that caught sight of him and decided to follow him. With his mind being a mix of occupied and tired, he didn't bother looking behind him like he usually did, nor did he hear the group's approach.
"Hey blue!" One of the gang members called out before taking one of his hands to the side of Zarakc's head and slamming it against the wall, who certainly wasn't expecting, let alone ready, to have to respond to such an action.
Zarakc let out a pained grunt as he was taken away from his thoughts as his head hit the wall, dulling his senses for a moment. He could feel a small gash open up by his left eye as he turned to the three gang members, the one who approached him, looking him over seeming to certainly take notice that he appeared to be quite out of fight for tonight.
"Money or your life, pal." The same gang member spoke out, certainly cutting to the point. Part of Zarakc's mind laughed at this, at least some people had their priorities known and let others know as well. None of the help you and then screw you over, or at least attempt to. Obviously the rest of his mind was a little more focuses on trying to deal with this current situation.
"I don't have anything on me, if you'd just let-" Zarakc started to say he could get something from his apartment, his voice certainly sounding tired, though thankfully not shaky, but it certainly seemed that the gang members weren't keen on giving him a chance to get into the apartment, they could always do that themselves afterwards anyway.
"Nope. Looks like your outta luck." The same gang member rang out again, the two behind him having a small laugh of their own, as they handled whatever hi-tech gadgets they were totting around with them just for this kind of situation. ~Outta luck...~ The phrase seemed to echo inside Zarakc's mind, it wasn't seeming that he had any to start with today. Without another moment's thought, Zarakc brought his right fist against the presumed leaders solar plexus, resulting in Zarakc knocking the wind out of him. The leader staggered back, bent down on his knees as he gasped for breath.
Before he could try to knock back the other two grunts, one of them used one of their handheld gadgets, and much to Zarakc's luck, it appeared to be akin to a taser. Letting out a cry of pain as he fell onto the ground, the device causing his muscles to contract and cause him a fair deal of pain, his mind flaring up in response to it, the feeling overwhelming his senses for the duration of the pulse. And with that, his chances of being able to defend himself dwindled even more, after being hit with that much electricity he wasn't going to be able to use his powers for at least another fifteen minutes. The gash by his left eye was bleeding more now, some of it managing to get in his eye, just another annoyance to add on to today.
As Zarakc was on the ground, the leader managed to catch his breath as the three of them began to let out their various insults and comments of physical harm they would perform. Their words sounded muffled to Zarakc as he tried to regain his thoughts and get back up, though there was certainly some trouble with that right now as his mind slowly regained its connection with his body's functionality. This whole ordeal wasn't looking to be going in his favor. Well at least he wasn't going to have to worry about being out of luck for much too longer hopefully.
((For anyone who joins, feel free to take control of some of the gang members if you wish.))

| Charissa was greeted to the smell of blood on the walk through steel's north side. At first, it didn't seem all that alarming, it was probably just a scrape a little kid has suffered... she hadn't eaten a child in quite a while... her thought was cut off as she listened into what was happening.
"Nope. Looks like your outta luck."
Charissa grinned, walking towards the commotion. She was very curios to see how this would play out. And if the underdog kid won the fight, she just might walk away. However, this didn't seem to be the case. When Zac punched the man in the chest, Charissa responded with a light smile. "Oh, dear... what a terrible idea, child..." She said, half to herself. As Zac was tased, she got to the fight with a grim smile. She looked over to Zac. "Cover that wound up. You're making me so hungry looking at it." She then looked straight over to the man with the taser. He looked back at her, screamed in horrible, agonizing pain, then fell to his knees, blood coming from his eyes and nearly dead. She looks to the other two.
"Run." |

| Zarakc's mind had a constant ringing in it for the moments after he was tased, Charissa's comment having starting out as a set of muffled sounds and finishing off as a slightly distorted voice. He was about to start to get back up right before the horrible scream was brought forth from the man as blood came out of his eyes. Shutting his eyes from the sight and quickly turning away, the image seeming to persist for a moment as the scream continued. For now, he just managed to sit up and put his back against the wall, bringing his hand to the wound near his eye, wiping the blood away from his eye and he took in heavy breaths.
The other two gang members looked at their leader in horror as he began to bleed from the eyes and drop to the ground, letting out that scream as he did so. They certainly didn't need to be told twice to run and both of them quickly turned around and ran for their lives, not wanting to have the same fate as their leader, both of them nearly tripping in their attempt to get out of there as fast as they possibly could.

| Charissa smiled was they ran, but threw a knife into the knee of the fatter one of the too people running, causing him to stay down. She smiled. She'll eat this one, later. But for now, she looked to the boy, who was at least able to sit up. She put her glasses on, so that he wouldn't look like the dying man over there. She put on her best caring smile and said "Are you alright? You took quite a beating from the looks of it..." Her completely black eyes kept shifting to the blood still trickling down his face hungerly, even when she willed it not too. |

| Zarakc rested his head against the wall as he looked over at the two men running, seeing one of them take the knife to the back of the knee and drop down, the other one running off into the distance, unlike his two companions. He looked up at Charissa as she asked him if he was alright whilst she gave a caring smile, it seeming to contrast greatly to what she had just inflicted on the man that had tased him. "Fine... just don't do well with tasers. He replied as wiped away more blood with his hand before pressing it against the gash again.
"Did you... really need to do that?Zarakc inquired of her before he looked at the man that was on the ground, still seeming to be drawing agonized breaths in. "To him. He added after taking in a few breaths, his voice was shaky from a combination of him recently being tased and being a little shaken from what happened to that man, even if he had meant ill for Zarakc. The image still easily visible inside of his mind, it not seeming like something that would go away all too easily. It had certainly been a long day and whilst this was better than the end the three of them had planned, it would have been nice to look a little less grim, though not that he could complain much.

| Charissa chuckled when he made mention of the man on the floor. "It wasn't my fault. I didn't tell him to look me in the eyes, and I can't turn it off." Charissa said. "You have nothing to worry about, however. The glasses I'm wearing will protect you from anything unfortunate happening.. like that poor gentlemen on the floor. If he looks sad, I could just kill him now. He broke the gaze before my eyes sent him straight to hell, so he's in literal pieces." |

| Zarakc looked up at Charissa, seeming to gaze at her a little below the glasses as he wondered what else she could do if that occurred just from making eye contact with her if she didn't have her glasses on. That seems... rather serious. He replied, it seeming that something like that could cause many problems. "Thank you... for that. He added, certainly happy that she was kind enough to spare him from such a painful happening. His eyes glanced over at the man who was quite obviously in serious pain, looking at the man made him try to imagine what kind of world of pain the man was going through, just the thought of it making his breath quicken and grow heavier.
"He's certainly in pain.." Zarakc stated, feeling like he was stating the obvious but at the same time, he was unsure if she would just leave him there or put an end to his suffering. To be quite honest, he didn't want to see either of those routes, this was why he mostly avoided combat and even when it got to that he would much rather disengage or hinder those he was against enough to make them stop their pursuit. Whatever happened to that man was a little much.

| Charissa pretended not to notice him trying to take a peek. If he didn't want to head her warning, it was his choice. While Zar would most likely be holding his eyes in burning pain, she would walk over to the man, and put her foot on his head gently. "If you want me to leave him, I'll leave him, and if you want me to kill him, I'll kill him. I don't mind either way, he attacked you. He should recover from this in a weeks time, however." She stepped off of him and turned towards Zar again. "By the way, I am Charissa, Demon princess of the clan Fotias within the underworld. And you are?" |

| Zarakc shut his eyes tightly as it felt like they were burning, bringing his free hand to hold over them as he tilted his head back towards the ground. He grit his teeth at the pain as he regretted having thought that her statement would imply that the glasses would protect him from whatever happens when someone looks at them. Maybe he accidentally managed to catch a glimpse underneath the glasses, but he had certainly meant to just not look directly at her eyes through the glasses just in case, a lot of good that did him.
As the pain finally subsided, he looked back over at Charissa and the man, his eyes looking at her foot on top of the man's head. He shook his head, not exactly keen for the thought of her ending the man's suffering by crushing his head in with her foot. "Just leave him... please." He asked of her, not exactly sure of what the man was going through, but there was one thing he knew, he knew that he wanted to sleep tonight, and in the coming weeks. As Charissa approached him and proceeded to introduce herself, he simply gazed at her legs, not exactly wanting to have a repeat of the searing pain in his eyes.
"Zarakc." He replied simple, no titles titles to be associated with him, let alone a last name as far as he knew.

| Charissa smiled. "Did you enjoy that? When someone tells you something, you should listen..." She laughed when he said to leave him. "Humans have such weak stomachs..." She lifted her foot from his face, but then sharply kicked his head into the concrete, knocking him out. "There, now he won't be feeling anymore pain." She giggled when he started to look down. "My eyes are up here, friend. try to look through the glasses this time?"
She looked at him quizzically. "Zarakc? That is not a common name here, is it?" |

| "Wasn't trying to do that... Zarakc replied, as he rubbed at his eyes again for a moment. He ignored her comments about humans having weak stomachs, since he wasn't exactly wanting to see someone ended in that manner, and he wasn't sure that he was exactly human either, that was still a mystery. As she kicked his head into the concrete that seemed to be an okay way to go about it, at least he wasn't in pain now.
"Sorry. Zarakc replied to her comment of her eyes being up there, he just didn't exactly want to go through that pain again, not that she didn't have nice legs though. He looked up at her, somewhat uneasily as he looked up at the glasses, half-expecting to feel the same pain again with how his luck had been the rest of the day. "Figure it isn't common, haven't met another yet. He responded, a small hint of humor in his voice as he gave her a weak smile. "Though it might be a little more commonplace than your title I'd say." He added, interest being expressed in his voice as he looked up at her through her glasses still, curious about what she was doing in the area and reasons, if any, for helping him.
He kept one of his hands against the wound on the side of his head, some blood trickling down the side of his head. Thankfully most of the bleeding had stopped now, and hopefully it would cease all together in a just a little while. Since it wasn't anything too major he didn't exactly take the time to go inside his apartment and treat it.
