Xzuk heard her words... but they didn't calm him down any... they enraged him.

The song then switched to Numb by LP.

His veins ran a bloody red color and he began to lose control.

He'd been turned on before... but it hurt every time...

"IVE BECOME SO NUMB, I CANT FEEL YOU THERE!"

He blasted away the legs of one of the bots and the solid beam of sound narrowly missed a building.

"ALL I WANT TO DO, IS BE MORE LIKE ME AND LESS LIKE YOU!"

He powered a jump and kicked the head of the other Zilla bot clear off.

He landed on the ground with a very light thud as the blood continued to flow from his forehead.

These toys were no challenge...

Slade...

Xzuk began walking back towards the city broadcasting his presence as the human amplifier. Slade would find him... and one them would die.

Alyss nodded to Emblem and traced the outside of her glass with her finger. She blinked a couple of times before and heard the music from outside. She got up from the table and ran outside, not looking back at Emblem.
She opened the door and heard Xzuk's music coming from the city. She ran down the road, but saw his startling red glow. "What's happened to you?" she asked, sadly.

Xzuk turned his head very slowly and saw Alyss. He didn't mellow out much at all.

"Where is Slade. I need a challenge."

He simply kept walking forward. His eyes scanned every place remotely close and his sonar did the rest.

The second he heard that creeps voice, he'd be gone.

Alyss stared blankly at Xzuk. "Why are you so angry?" she asked. She raised her hand and a wall of shadows stopped his movements forwards.
"Stop running away from me!" she yelled, angrily.

He turned and watched the scene unfold.

"You've got three guesses as to why I'm angry. Choose wisely. If you guess right, I'll stop this madness and go back to Titans tower."

He smiled and it quickly turned to a much more frightening sign then a good thing.

"But if you guess wrong... I'll be forced to get a little more... drastic... in my search."

Wavelength had been awakened and he wouldn't go away until his challenge had been met.

Alyss backed away from Xzuk, frightened.
"I don't know where Slade is. I'm not going back to him, I-I destroyed all ways of finding him." she said. She was shaking, she had never seen him this angry.
"Are you angry because...." she thought of so many reasons and left her sentence unfinished.

His eyes flashed blue for a slight moment before he shook it off.

"I'm angry... because I can't find a challenge..."

He stretched out a hand towards Alyss and it flared up red, then blue, and from blue, it went to white.

The broadcasting song changed from Numb to Last Day by Nickelback as Xzuk began to regain control... He wouldn't let Wavelength hurt Alice.

His eyes turned to a shining blue and his Union jack went back to normal from its black and red color. He'd done it... He'd beaten Wavelength.

He fell back and listened to the music. His wounds hurt again... he didn't feel invincible anymore...

"How's that for a challenge you son of a bitch..."

Alyss blinked, she really didn't know what was going on. She cocked her head and backed away further from Xzuk.
"What's happened to you?" she asked.

Xzuk sat up remembering just what he'd been fighting for...and also the reason he'd won..

"I wish I knew."

At this point, he was almost as confused as she was..

Every drone he destroyed... he let loose more and more of his power until... he let it all loose... that's when he lost control... and that note! It just pushed him beyond the limit...

He covered his face with his hands, but withdrew them quickly when they hit his cut.

How could I be so stupid as to think that she'd loved Slade? and then chosen Emmy over me? ... I had to be wrong...

Emblem: Sir, check please.

Emblem payed, and although he saw Alyss and Xzuk, he slipped away, usingthe shadows in the alleys as his disguise. Those two were busy enough now, Alyss knew he was willing and able to help, but in fact, she was the only one who could solve this with Xzuk. Personally, a fear creeped into his mind thinking Xzuk could have seen him and thought she was dating Emmy, and be ather pissed about it. But as long as he had no evidence, he knew nothing, and it was none of his business. Good thing he didn't interfere right now, or Xzuk might have gone berserk..

Alyss's eyes widened and she stayed backed up against the wall.
"I'm sorry Xzuk." she said. "But how I can keep going on like this." Her voice wasn't terrified, more knowing and calm than usual.
She stepped forwards and her eyes narrowed. "Slade is not a part of me."

Xzuk looked up at her. He was confused... He for one couldn't read minds...

"What are you trying to say?"

He smiled as much as he could manage and threw out another sentence before she could answer his first question.

"You've got nothing to be sorry for... Thank you..."

Alyss looked down at the floor. "I've done horrible things to you." she whispered. She didn't cry now, she had cried too much today.
She opened her mouth and shut it again, looking away from him.

"You have. But this ordeal, wasn't your fault."

He smiled a little.

"This happened because I'm fucking retarded....."

He laid back on the pavement.

"But... If you want to leave... I wont stop you. No because I want you to go or anything... but because... I physically can't stop you."

He smiled and laughed at his own patheticness as yet another song began broadcasting from his mind.
