Answer the damn door (Open to Titans)

Simple. If only life were that easy. Oh well, Grace would let it go. There was no point in asking for details that Tara didn't find important.

She had been able to battle guns with nothing but wind and fire? That seemed to contradict Tara's story of still needing to master her powers.

Grace wondered what the entities who had gifted Tara with her powers wanted her to do. They would want something back in return, and simply defending the earth seemed too simple. What secrets did Tara have? If beating bad guys was easy without full control of her powers, then just how much raw power did Tara truly have?

"If you were able to stop men with guns so easily, you seem to be quite capable of controlling your powers," Grace said. "What exactly did you want the Titans to do for you? You can already hold your own in a fight."

Grace thought it over for a bit. Finally, she leaned forward and gave her decision. "Very well. You may join this team, but on a trial basis. If you don't follow a direct order, you're gone. You will be going on missions with experienced team members, but no solo missions. At least not until your training has progressed. I don't want to lose a new Titan."

Grace stood up. "Okay, so you can control the elements, then? I'll want to see what you can do in the Training Room."

She wanted to know what she could ask Tara to do and what her limits were. It wouldn't be an exciting fight like so many other hopefuls. Tara definitely had the power to join the Titans, and she claimed to have the heart. With the series of tests Grace would now put her through, hopefully Tara would live to see her commitment pay off.

Jay wandered down the stairs, a giant pixie stick in one hand, a book in the other. She looked around at the people standing around, wondering what was going on. SHe had been being very antisocial recently and it seemed not even sugar was helping her stay in a hyper act. Her wings where hiding under a jacket, even though she knew no one would really care if they were out.
"So what's goin on down here?" she asked no one in particualer.


(Yeah! Jay gets to be re-introduced... kinda...)

"OH! Newbie!" Jay forgot about how she had been heading to the kitchen and walked over to the new titan on the block. She circled her once then stuck out her hand,"Hi, I'm Jay. So what's your name?"

(Jays wings were under her jacket, but ok, I'll go with that)

Jay smiled,"Well nice to meet ya. Welcome to titans tower! Uh, if ou happen to see a humming bird flying around could you tell him were not playing hide and seek any more? He's been at it for almost a month now. And any way, if you don't mind me asking, what's your power or ability or whatever you do?" Jay then noticed that her jacket had slid down a bit on her shoulder and exposed her wings. "oh, yeah, I have wings and can talk to birds. Hope that doesn't freak you out."

"Of course I don't mind you asking, it's what I expect I'll hear from everyone when I first meet them. Anyway I can control water, earth, fire and air. I got the power directly from the Gods themself." It may have sounded like Tara was bragging but she wasn't, she hadn't even asked for this power. Sometimes it felt like a burden to have it but most of the time she loved it, she loved to control the elements. Wait, did she just say she could talk to birds? That's weird, but the good kind of weird. "That's cool, I was expecting everyone to have a variety of powers anyway." Tara had a smile on her face, it felt good to meet other people with powers

"Well thats good. Cuz if you weren't expecting that you would probably be weirded out a lot. And that's a cool power to have. I bet you don't need an umbrella when it rains huh? just kidding with ya." Jay smiled. She was hoping that this was a new friend. To her it was better to be friends with every one on the team then to not know most of the team members... sadly though it seems thats how it was right now. Jay didn't even know most of the Titans any more.
