| Eric stood there, so much for having fun. It's like a chic fight , but these chics' have powers and it could end in a very brutal battle. Right now he wished he had his portal gun. Since he didn't he might as well use his over ability of smartness!
Eric looked at the near by tower and how high he actually was. He stepped back going through the speed he had to go to actually do this. He ran off the rock, jumped, jumped off the side of the tower, then rolled to safety. he wanted to get out of this fight.

| Grace burned with anger. This intruder dared to demand Grace to lower her defenses? That wasn't going to happen.
"Did you ever consider that we didn't stop that robbery just to give you the chance to do something good with your life?" It wasn't true. The Titans simply hadn't received the call. But if this angry child had been able to stop it, it couldn't have been that bad. "Now I ask you, do you see a badge on either of us? No. We aren't responsible to anyone, least of all you. If we choose to impart mercy upon the weaklings of this city, it is an act of noble charity. If we choose to ignore a mere robbery, then it is our business and ours alone. The Titans will do as we please, and we will not be scolded for it."
As the girl lowered herself to the ground, Grace followed suit. The ground beneath her feet crackled and froze as she touched down. She wanted to intimidate this foolish girl. The frost that now covered the ground beneath her feet began to spread out, until it created a circle around her with a 20 foot radius. |

| "Well excuse me for thinking it was the Titans duty to stop the crime in this city rather than to sit back and watch it unfold or are the Titans just a team where if they can't be bothered to stop a crime then they'll just sit back and see what happens because that's what it seems like." Tara looked around as the ground beneath her froze, scare tactics? Really? With this Tower being on an island Tara felt confident that the odds were in her favour, there was plenty or earth and water around to control and air and fire were never really a problem for her so in her mind this was a four on one fight. Air, Water, Earth and Fire vs Ice. This should be interesting. | |

| Eric looked up at Tara. " We do put our self responsible for most crime. But we aren't perfect and we don't catch every little crime in Jump City. I'm sure if you got a call Grace would have sent a couple of us. You don't need to get all fired up about this." Eric informed with hand gestures.
Eric hen looked at Grace. " Grace, I know you earned you position, and you are very good at it, but you shouldn't be too harsh. I know she doesn't have any right to come in here and tell us what we're doing wrong but you are the leader here an you need to show that." Eric said trying to not come off pushy. He hoped he helped and that this would stop.

| "I'm fine with the whole 'we didn't get the call so we couldn't have known' it's just the way the leader of the Titans is pretty much saying 'we're the Titans we can do what we want and don't answer to anyone' is the thing that's really annoying me" Tara was being honest, she was more than happy to sit down and talk with the Titans but if the leader was this hostile to someone who was trying to help then why should she do anything to help them? No. That wasn't the way to think. Tara had made a promise to the Gods that had given her her powers, and more importantly her parents, that she would try and join the Titans to start making a difference in this world, to make it a better place | |

| Grace was fuming. This girl was really asking for a beating. Not only that, but her fireballs were still there, which was a direct challenge to Grace. Then it got worse. Tara insulted Grace personally. She was saying that she was a bad leader.
Truthfully, Grace didn't think that she was prepared to be the leader of the Teen Titans. The position had been more or less forced upon her as the senior members of the team left. She didn't know much about being a leader. But she wasn't about to let this brutish invader insult her. Why was she even here? What business was it of hers what the Titans were doing? She was tempted to freeze the girl right here and now.
But Eric was right. At least, Grace thought his name was Eric. She had only fought alongside him a couple of times. In any case, the kid with the strange gun was right. She was the leader and it was her responsibility to act like it. The leader couldn't kill people to settle a personal dispute. They also couldn't put themselves or their allies at risk when it could be avoided. What if Eric got fried by Tara? Grace would have failed to protect him.
Grace's ice spears would suddenly shatter in the air and fall to the ground in hundreds of pieces. Her ice armor broke in two and fell to her sides. Grace turned towards the Tower and headed for the door.
"Since you don't seem to know how to get rid of your weapons, I've shown you by example. Now be a good little girl and come along. We can have a nice talk in the Main Ops room, if you still want to talk, that is."
Grace didn't enjoy going out of her way to help this violent idiot, but the safety of her teammates came first. What would she tell Will if one of them had died under her supervision? As she passed Eric, she patted him on the shoulder.
If Tara followed Grace into the Tower, Grace would sit on a couch and glare at her. "Now, how may I help you?"

| Tara looked on as the girl got rid of her ice weapons and armour, great. That meant that maybe they were getting somewhere. Tara would simply let the fireballs turn into smoke and disappear from the palm of her hand, Tara saw a lot of her own personality in this girl. She then followed Grace into the Tower and as she walked in she gave a little nod to Eric, it seemed like this boy had managed to talk some sense into Grace which she appreciated greatly, maybe now she could just have a chat with Grace, woman to woman. "Ok, now that we're inside maybe cooler heads will prevail and judging by what you did out there you've probably got the coolest head around. Anyway, I came to Jump City because I had heard it was filled with teen heroes who were saving the world and something told me I had to be here. You see my powers are gifts from the Gods and I don't mean that as in I'm a religious nut, I mean they actually came from the God's themselves, and although I've been training for a few years I in no way have the best control I possibly could over them which is where Jump City comes in. With all the heroes here I'm sure there's got to be some who could help me master my abilities which is why I came here, I was hoping the Titans could help." | |

| Eric smiled as his point of view successively worked. He watched the girls walk in, cool headed, and followed them in. He passed the couch and gave off a half smile and a short smile. " I guess my turn here is over. See ya around Grace and New girl." Eric said smiling starting towards the door, pulling the gun off his hand then holding it like a football.
OOC: I guess i'm out!

| It sounded like a tall tale, but the girl could control the elements. Also, Grace could sense a strong spiritual presence on this girl, which gave her story credibility.
And she wanted to join the Titans. Grace met her gaze evenly, and didn't express the distaste she held for the girl. Join the Titans? That wasn't likely to happen, based on her unpleasant greeting upon arrival. Aside from Grace's personal dislike of her, there were several reasons why the stranger couldn't join the Titans, at least not until she proved herself.
First, she had attacked a Titan. Grace couldn't risk having teammates fighting. Eric shouldn't have tried to test the newcomer, and he would receive a talking-to later, but his actions had certainly not warranted such a violent response. The girl was hot-headed and prone to violence.
Second, the girl had intentionally ignored Grace's command to get rid of her fireballs. As leader, Grace couldn't have someone on the team who didn't trust her and follow a direct order.
"Do you have a name, girl?" |

| Girl? GIRL!? Grace was really starting to get on Tara's nerves. Just because she's the leader of the Titan's doesn't mean she's the best thing since sliced bread, she needed to be taken down a peg or two and Tara was ready to do that, but she couldn't. She needed to stay with the Titans, she needed to learn how to control her powers even more than she could already. If she had full controll over all of them then she would be seriously powerful but she knew that it would take possibly more years of training to fully master each element but that was fine, she was used to years of training. "My name is Tara." Tara tried not to sound angry, she wasn't exactly sure how successful her attempt was but either way she had to try | |

| Tara? It sounded a lot like Terra. A Titan who had betrayed the team a long time ago. Grace frowned.
"Listen, Tara. If you want to join the Titans, there are two things you need to understand. First, you exist to keep your teammates safe. Even if they do something stupid and try to attack you at the front door, you protect them. You don't use your powers to intimidate or threaten them. Second, my word is law. If I tell you to do something, you do it. If you want to have a power struggle, then there's the door."
Considering Tara had just been demonizing the Titans, Grace was confident she would leave. If someone like her didn't have respect for a team, then why did they want to join in the first place?
"So, do you have what it takes?" |

| Keep teammates safe? Tara didn't have a problem with that I mean it's not as if she was actually going to drop the boy earlier, she was just showing him that she could get out of his move if she wanted, Grace had just came in and assumed the worst. The one thing that Tara might have a problem with is Grace's word being law, she already knew that Grace hated her so she would be out to try and make her life a living hell, but she had to deal with it, she wanted to master he powers fully and there was no better place to do that than the Titans. "You know I've got what it takes." | |

| Grace raised an eyebrow. She actually thought that the girl didn't have what it would take, but she deserved a chance.
"Since you were stopping a robbery earlier, I take it you don't like crime. Tell me about this robbery. What happened and how did you stop it?"
Normally, Grace would be testing new recruits in the Training Room by now. However, the fight between Eric and Tara had spoiled the mood for such a thing. Besides, Grace didn't want to have to fight Tara right now. She was still angry, and hitting the girl around would feel a little too good at the moment.

| "Tell you about it? Well there's not much to tell really, just your usual bank robbery, a few armed thieves, a few hostage, the full cliche." It seemed that the bank was robbed nearly every other day in Jump City, you'd think they'd shut it down or at lease hire better security for it, I mean hell the security there seems to get beaten pretty easily all the time. At least this time though Tara was there to stop it, but if Tara hadn't been there who knows what would've happened? No need to worry about that though, she had stopped it so it doesn't matter. As she was speaking she would look at Grace, she could see that the girl wasn't the exactly most pleased with her | |

| "And in what cliche way did you deal with it? What did you do? How did the thieves respond? Was anyone hurt?" Grace wanted details. Had she killed the thieves? Were they in jail right now? The Titans couldn't have a loose canon doing whatever she felt like. They needed someone who took the safety of others into account.
Grace thought back to the earth and fire magic Tara had displayed. How big of a mess had Tara made in her efforts to stop this robbery? |
