New Friends and New Enemies (open)

Camilla walked out of the shop, finally glad to be off work. She slung her backpack over her shoulder, feeling a bit like Superman with her red suit under her clothes. She needed them in case some stupid villain decided to cause trouble. Walking the streets she looked around, all seemed pretty quiet today. She laughed a little, as quiet as a thriving city could be. She passed by a little pizzeria and decided to grab a bite to eat, walking up to the cashier she ordered a slice of sausage pizza and went to sit down at a table to wait for her food.

A few minutes passed and then her food was brought out, thanking the waiter she began to eat, keeping her eyes peeled on what was going on around her while she did. It didn't take her long to finish eating and she stood up, walking over to throw her plate in the trash. "This place is mighty convenient," She said to herself her accent thick. She tucked her hair behind her ear and continued walking, wondering if anything exciting was going to happen today.

It was such a pleasant afternoon in jolly ol' Jump City. Families walking about with their children to see the zoo and all of its animal kingdom wonders, couples walking about with unbridled love in their eyes, Birds chirping their songs of love, filling the air with sweet music. The occasional pursnatcher getting caught and being beaten senseless by an old woman. It was just the type of day to make a man feel happy just to be alive

Of course Cook was happy to be alive just about everyday, and this was no different day. Casually strolling down the sidewalk in his fulll chef attire and his worn backpack slung across his back, he took in a deep breath of the sweet scents of spring followed by a heavy exhale. "I just love, love, love the springtime! he stated half to himself while enjoying the 'sites of the young women walking around in attire suited for the season. Short-shorts and halter tops. Yes... Cook so did love this time of the year.

But suddenly. He stopped in his tracks rather dramatically. His gaze was locked on the most beautiful of specimens he had ever seen in his life. That minute. Leaving the pizza shop that he had been fired from only weeks ago. It was fate, it just had to be fate. He quickly picked up his walking pace until he caught up to her, matching her walking speed.

"Why hello there my dear... he began, attemting to sound as seductive as possible."Are you by any chance from Tennessee?"

Camilla turned to see a man talking to her,"Ah sorry but I am not. Mexico actually," She said her hispanic accent very clear while she talked. She smiled a little, "I take it you are from Tennessee then?" She asked curiously. She did not know this man, and yet she could not help but want to talk to him. He was not bad looking at all, quite attractive to say the least. She tucked a lock of hair behind her ear and waited for him to answer her question.

He knew she wasn't from Tennesee. From his various adventures in South America, he could tell a native South American a mile away. Or at least the the female ones. No no, his question was the beginning of one of his many pick-up lines that he has used numerous times on the numerous women he has come across. But for the most part it was his mastery over the culinary arts that kept them around.

"Oh well that's a shame.. his face seemed gloomy all of a sudden, of course this was all part of his pick up. His depressive frown flipped up into a wide seductive grin. "because your the only Ten I see. after a quick chuckle, he extended his hand towards her. Name's Cook sweetie. Name and profession? And what should I call you? Besides 'gorgeous' of course."

Camilla laughed, "It's Camilla. I work at the local video store," She was about to say she protected the innocent but figured that would be tacky, and she didn't want him thinking of her as a freak so she shut her mouth. She smiled, and just then she saw someone run by, "The zoo is under attack!" the civilian said and kept running. Camilla looked at Cook and frowned, "I apologize but I must be off. I have a...uh...family thing" She said not wanting to admit what she was going to do.She then ran off and towards the zoo. She ran and ran until she thought she had lost Cook and she ducked behind a building, tearing off her clothes to reveal her suit and put on her mask. Stuffing her suit in her backpack she hid it behind a trash can for later retrieval hoping she would find it, if not it was no big deal.

She ran towards the zoo as quickly as she could arriving at the entrance in minutes. She stopped a civilian, "Where is the trouble?" She asked and he just pointed as he ran away. Running in that direction, Camilla wondered what she would find. She also wondered how hard this task may be.

Camilla ran into the dome that everyone seemed to be running out of, seeing a girl with wads of cash floating in the air around her. She ran closer and stretched her arm, grabbing the cash right out of the air, "Didn't your mother ever tell you not to touch things that don't belong to you?" She asked and placed the money in front of the guards, "Put that somewhere she won't get it" She said and looked back at the girl who was floating in the air. She grew a few feet until she was eye level with the girl, "Now then, I suggest you leave" She said and smiled, knowing her size must have been intimidating

Camilla sighed as she looked at the beast, I see you want to do things the hard way" She extended her arms and grabbed a nearby desk off the floor. Slamming it into the head of the hydra she smirked, water was a liquid, slam it enough and the shape would collapse. She looked down at Hydra, "You can leave or end up like your friend here," She said nodding her head at the Hydra and slamming the desk into its heads once more

" So you work at the video st- Cook was enjoying his conversation with the latina Camilla until some rude person decided to interrupt and say that the zoo was being attacked. Big Deal this was Jump, something got attacked once a week almost. He rolled his eyes. he just assumed Mr. Rude was trying to butt in on his one on one time with the lovely Camilla who said she had a family matter to attend to before jolting off.

Cook wasn't the smartest man on the block but he wasn't stupid either. She was shy. Cook realized he could be the slightest but overbearing. He felt as though he should rectify the situation. Right after she dashed away, he followed right behind her right on her heels, until he became distracted by a girl with writing on her shirt. Such shiny letters in such a beautiful place...

Before he knew it she was out of his sight, and his memory as well. At least from the neck down. As with all females he met, he rarely focused on the face when speaking. He cursed himself under his breath for this. But she did have a nice figure. He sat down on a bench and rubbed his goatee in a thoughtful manner as he thought about what his next course of action could be.

Suddenly his mind formed an idea. If she was a resident of Jump, she would surely have gone towards the Zoo to witness whatever villain of the week was performing whatever robbery of the week. So he stood up and began his trot to the zoo to find the love of his life. At least for now.

Reaching the zoo, he worked his way through the throngs of people exiting looking for his Camilla to no avail. he decided to keep going until he reached the aquatic exhibit hoping to see her. instead he noticed a young woman in a skintight suit that caught his attention. She had the same figure as Camilla. He kept moving watching as another young lady formed a hydra out of the pool of water. instead of fear, a wave of wonderment took over Cook.

The hydra was so awesome! And HUGE! He couldn't believe his eyes. He took at seat in one of the pews just as the watery beast gave off a mighty roar. He clapped his hands in approval. He decided he'd just sit and watch this little catfight. Because if there was one thing that Cook loved, it was a good catfight.

Elemay was wondering around Jump City, as usual. Her life was boring unless she was causing the Titans some serious butt kick, getting money out of an old "friend", or just creeping people out with her so called mutant self.

Elemay was walking towards the strip mall and maybe was going to go get something, like a regular "Human" would. She needed more adventure in her life right now. She thought about the zoo, lions? Tigers? bears? Oh my! This was a perfect place to cause a scene.

Elemay walked to the zoo, hood over head covering her hair and face. She saw two people fighting. She then walked towards the lion cage where her scene would begin.

Camilla dodged out of the way, thinking quickly. "Attack its center, like that stupid children's disney movie" She whispered to herself and looked around for an object she could use. She noticed a long metal pole leaning against a wall and grabbed it, it would have to do. Lunging at the hydra she cut the pole into its middle, slicing easily through the water. She repeated and repeated the action, knowing if she cut it enough it would lose its fragile shape like with the head.
