| Yes, plug your monitor with the cable that had the problems onto your friend's pc. If it all works it's your graphics card probably, if it does not then switch the cable. If it works then it's your cable, if not the its probably the monitor. | |

| I don't know any american prices so this is just a bit of speculation. A decent 24 inch monitor costs about 200-300 euro's here in holland, which is about 280-400 dollars I believe. | |
