A flash in the dark(finished)

Ravian nearly flinched as her smile faded away. He had almost immediately assumed that she was going to attack or do something....unfavorable. He had come to expect such betrayals and sudden surprise attacks while in other cities and while jump and steel hadn't shown him the same harshness he was still waiting for it, expecting it. Though gradually it was beginning to change, he was becoming less suspecting. He wasn't sure if that was good or had but wither way old habits died hard.

His hands stiffened and a small arc of electricity jumped from his arm before disappearing in an instant, as quick as it appeared. He decided he would just let that slide, she probably knew it wasn't on purpose anyways. He looked her in the eyes and said "I was going to sell it, how else would I make money off of it?" he said confused and slightly wary of her.

He had revealed his intentions but he still was ready to escape if need be. He hadn't forgotten that she identified more with heroes than thieves. He scanned the room for outlets,looked at the light. His usual escape plan of just leaving would work if he had to. Just then foot steps were heard running by faintly. Ravian slnearly stood, his legs obviously straightening a bit before he put his hands by his side with his eyes focused on the door, after a few seconds he relaxed and said "the gang wants it back and the police want it to stop their crimes, whoever pays the most wins, I just can't let anyone know I'm dealing with both or the list is worthless." he said bitterly. "Either way nothing happens that wouldn't have happened any ways , either the police get the list and stop the crimes or the gang gets the list and does them as already planned. What happens isn't my business."

Galaxuis sat back up in the bed. She also heard the faint running noise. They were closer then she had anticipated, but if the gang was as big and bad as they make themselves to be she suppose it would be expected. She gave a small smile as she stared at the wood floor "I know in truths you are a good person. This world has made you bitter and untrusting but remember not everyone in life is cut and dry," she gazed at Ravian softly "I like you, I'll help you this once but next time don't count yourself as lucky." Galaxuis ears perked as she heard another small faint shuffle. They are here and waiting, for how long Galaxuis didnt give a chance to find out. She stood up and turned her attention to the front door "We have company."

Immediately the door was knocked down and the windows shattered. Two men came into the door and instantly were shooting bullets at Galaxuis who had created a thick water like force field around herself and Ravian. The bullets would float aimlessly once they penetrated the surface of the force field. Once it seemed that they had run out of bullets the force field melted away, bullets clanking on the wood floor. Galaxuis flew at top speed at the two men at the door giving then a heavily impacted double kick. Once she landed she outstretched her arms and the men by the windows were wrapped around the heavy blankets that were used as curtains. She stood up and her eyes widened as she saw about 10 more men running from each side of the beach.

Galaxuis turned to Ravian and signaled him to help fight. She then ran off and side kicked a man in the shoulder before using her powers to create giant muscular-like arms to punch another man.

A small smile cracked on Ravian's face. She sure had but the nail on the head. it was crazy really. She must have taken a wild guess or something. One good guess. Her words were hopeful. It was nice, refreshing. He liked her tone and he liked the words. To bad they were wrong, after so long they were refreshing but bitter sweet, he knew they couldn't be true. After just a few years he still needed something solid,that one thing was simply "don't trust anyone".

He nodded as she said she liked him but didn't reply to her. He just was a bit...distant at the moment, avoiding his whole trust issue thing. Which he had just called to the front of his mind "This can't be healthy." he thought. But as she mentioned company he jumped at the distraction. Happy that he could let off some steam. Then the bullets came. Ravian saw one stop, he swore it would have hit him in the head.

He could have died. All the same Ravian smiled and as he walked out of the house he shot a single bolt which hit one if the men by the windows before it than arced over to the other in an instant, both men yelped than fell, unconscious at the least. As Galaxuis attacked so did Ravian, he shot three bolts. Two of which hit the third continued to who knows where and disappeared fast. The other two lasted a bit longer as the men they hit helped and flew high into the air. Perhaps he was bitter for a reason. These guys were just targets now. As Ravian dent out another bolt it was evident that mercy would not be exercised as one of the men who had just got hit was hit again while still rolling from the first hit. Another bolt hit another man just as soon. He wanted this over soon. He had realized he was a bit to trusting of Galaxuis though she may not realize it. She was practically an enemy, or at least she would be next time. He would have to alienate her. Too bad he thought they might get along.

With her powers she created 3 huge hands that grabbed the rest of the men she fought and threw them into the cold waters of the beach.
Galaxuis then saw a few more men coming towards her in the distance. Her stamina was running low and her patience thinning. "In the realm of the forgotten, I call upon thee," her hands and eyes started to glow white "prevent them from getting any closer!" After she said her words white stringy substances wrapped themselves around the mens feet and sucked them, shoulder deep, into the ground. Her eyes and hands stopped glowing, this small fight was over.
Other then her harsh breathing there was no other sounds but the ocean. She turned to look over at Ravian a smile on her face. "You should be fine now," she paused for a moment taking in his appearance and making a mental note "I hope you stay safe next time and possibly out of trouble." Her eyes burned with hope as one last wind blew past them.

She finished them offf with a rather impressive display of....was that magic? Well it was something, he just didn't know what. He decided to keep it in mind though just in case he ever did have to fight this girl, though he hoped he never would have to. He probably wouldn't be able to go all out deadly on her, knowing who she was. He wondered how identified with being a hero she was, it would be nice to have a friend in town. To bad she seemed like such a good person.

His own morals were, well actually not so different, pushed aside was the best explanation. He felt the guilt and did his best to completely ignore it, it didn't work very well. He lost sleep but not too much. He could handle it. He smiled back at her briefly before wiping the smile from his face. She wasn't with him, so she was against him. He reminded himself of that and that the next time they met probably wouldn't be a friendly encounter. "Thanks for your help." he said as stoically as possible.

He looked to the house then back at Galaxius. He walked over to the electrical box outside and gave it a good kick, leaning it enough to see the wires. The boy squatted down and grabbed one "Don't bother, I'm a magnet for the stuff and being safe? Well.....bye" neither of those hopes were even possible. Well, reasonable. He just, didn't see himself getting peace anytime soon. In th next moment there would be a flash of electricity and Ravian would be gone, into the wires and back to his house.

She watched as he disappeared into the power lines leaving her with a hefty mess of unconscious men and a destroyed hut. She sighed lightly as she grabbed the men and hauled them one by one into the same area as the men she half buried, making sure that they were all together. When she finally had all the men in place she grabbed on of the unconscious gang member cell phones and punched in 911. Before she pressed dial she turned to look at the men she buried, they looked both angry and terrified as one shouted "And what if I do report you!?" Galaxuis eyes burned with rage and mystery as she cracked a half smile "It wouldn't matter, I'm a Teen Titan. I help the police. Besides, I can do more then make objects come to life," she got close to his face as she whispered "I can make your worse nightmares come to life too." The man gulped as he nodded in fear. Galaxuis pressed dial and not a second passed when a women had answered. Galaxuis didn't give the women time to speak "Yea, it so happened I found a few men in a strange predicament. I suggest getting them some medical attention. I'm sure you can find them through your guys tracking system," Galaxuis then hung up the phone and turned to the buried men "Don't cause to much trouble while I'm gone," then smirked as she shot up into the air and back to the titans Tower.

It wasnt long that she was in her room laying in her bed thinking of Ravian and how he may be making his decisions. She was hoping her actions weren't taken in vain and that no matter the cost he would give the police the list. Her ears drooped as doubt made its way into her thoughts. She pushed them aside as she snuggled into her blankets and closed her eyes for some needed rest.
