Killing the Dead Bones (Night Hawks)

A nice night, a quiet night or at least, it should have been quiet. Libbey was startled by the resulting staccato of automatic weapons. She never did like guns, they caused her pain, caused other people pain. They introduced suffering and misery on a different level, careless use and misuse killed hundreds of people every month; people that didn't deserve to die, or had too much to live for. Her father had life left in him, he didn't deserve to die but the cruel grasp of the reaper took him away from her, they, took him away from her. So when she heard those gunshots she bolted, as her familiar salamander skin grew over her like a protective carapace.

These people, whoever they are, were about to have a pleasant stay in the intensive care unit.

She screeched around corner after corner, her feet pounding against pavement with a fervent rapidity as she clenched her fists into balls. Another corner, another block down and she came up behind these people, they weren't shooting their guns willy nilly, no, they were shooting at people. People from what she could gather, where just like her. She never stopped her rapid approach as she left the ground, her body twisting through the air as she brought her foot crashing into one gunman's face. Quickly however, she pushed off him, causing him to slam into the ground with a crunch as she twisted around again, bringing the heel of that same foot slamming into a second, adjacent mans back.

Everything happened in the span of two and half seconds, ten seconds, if you started counting when she came around the corner. As she landed on her right leg (which was her supporting leg), she turned towards the shape-shifter, popping her neck without skipping a beat. ''So, are you the moron behind all this or should I keep cracking skulls, cause really, I'd enjoy that''

"Good, that means I can go all out on you then," she growled out softly, as she moved towards him, preferring to meet the attack head on, or that would have been the case if not for her stepping diagonally out of the attacks path and placing her leading foot perpendicular of her supporting foot. She crouched low at the knees, her right hand and arm coming up to guard her head as she lunged towards griz.

Now for some, this may seem foolish, rushing a large bear armed (pun not intended) man but for Libbey, she was actually used to fighting people twice, sometimes even thrice her size. People that could, without a doubt, pulp her if she made a single mistake in a fight. But she was a careful fighter most of the time but this guy, this guy, right here needed a wake up call. As she came in close, she snapped straight up, bringing her right leg's knee and thigh up across her body it looked almost like the start off an angle kick (a round house in laymen lingo) but as she brought it to it's peak, it's literal apex and kicked out in a hooking manner, the heel of her foot, calloused and rough from years of practice, was aimed for the large mans kidney (that is his right side kidney) with whip-like speed.
