Killing the Dead Bones (Night Hawks)

In the north part of Jump City a single man walks up to a factory. His name is Griz. An evil smile spreads across his face. Wrecking this factory would establish his gang, the Dead Bones, as the future rulers of Jump City. They had come here to make a name for himself, and he planned to do his part to rip this town apart.

Griz transformed into a grizzly bear and knocked the back door open with ease. These factories never learned. The back doors were usually unguarded and weaker than the front door. Walking inside, Griz started smashing computers with his massive bear claws. Suddenly, he heard a sound and turned around to see who was there.

In the south part of Jump City, a squad of four chuckle as the walk into a classy resuraunt. They were wearing bullet-proof suits that covered them from head to toe. Armed with automatic rifles, they kicked down the door to the resturaunt and shot off a few random bullets.

"Attention everyone! We are the Dead Bones, and from tonight on we own this town. Empty your pockets if you want to live!"

The four men collected the money from the terrified customers and went back to the street, only to find someone waiting for them.

Alpha stood behind Griz. "Don't you know breaking other peoples' things is not nice? Where are your manners?" he said, drawing his sword. He walked around the shapshifter, flashing his blade, showing off. "You know what I do to criminals like you?"

Griz looked at the strange man with a sword. He looked sort of tough, but nobody was stronger than Griz.

"I don't need to be nice, and in case you haven't noticed, they invented something called the gun. I'm guessing you're going to say that you beat up criminals like me, but that's not true. You haven't ever met a criminal like me."

Griz lifted up a large computer and threw it at Alpha. He then charged at the hero, swiping at him with his powerful clawed arms.

As the computer flew at Alpha, he raised his sword, and the machine split in half from the edge of the blade.

Seeing Griz charging at him, Alpha jumped high in the air and blasted him in the back with an energy bolt.

(ooc: Can Nikki get the people in the bullet proof vests, can she can she can she pwease?)

OOC: Now now, Nikki. Those bad guys are for Salamander, first. After he shows up and scares them into retreating, you are welcome to join in and play with them, but not before. Let the newbies get some.

(ooc: Nikki grumbles at you and retreats to a corner to sulk)

OOC: Although San hasn't been on in a few days. If he delays much more I will let you jump in for him, but let's not count him out just yet.

BIC:
Griz growled with anger as Alpha jumped over him and delivered an energy bolt to the bear's back. He swung blindly for his opponent, missed, and ripped through the tiles of the ceiling. Turning around fully, the huge thug swiped at Alpha's torso. His razor sharp claws aimed for the hero's stomach.

Alpha tried to dodge the thug's assault, but wasn't quite fast enough. The claws cut through his skin, leaving a few small cuts. "Ow!!" he yelled, and gripped his stomach.

This guy was fast. Thinking for a split second, Alpha came up with a plan. He flew up to the upper levels, and hid. He began to concentrate. Why are you doing this? There's no point. Your leader won't thank you. To him, you're just a big ball of brawn who does his dirty work. You are nothing. Alpha issued a mental attack on his opponent.

A few moments after Alpha hid, Griz came breaking through the floor. He had jumped through one ceiling after another to find his opponent, but had not succeeded. Realizing that Alpha had to be on this floor somewhere after hearing his voice, Griz started walking around, knocking over chairs and breaking tables in hopes of finding him.

"You're right. I've completely changed my view on life now. I should be a hero freak like you. Or I could just stay on the winning team. You Titans can't beat the Dead Bones. We're here to show you up."

As Griz walked into the room, Alpha had him right where he wanted him. He swooped down, and punched Griz right in the face.

"You're doing a horrible job, then," he said, nad began to walk away, assuming Griz to be defeated.

OOC: Nikki, the guys with guns are all yours. We waited for Sanakan, but we have to get on with this thread. Other Hawks are also welcome to join in at this point.

BIC: Alpha punched Griz in the face, sending Griz flying into a wall.

Ouch. Whoever this guy was, he was strong. Griz realized that he was probably outmatched here. Turning back into human form, Griz jumped out a window and landed with a loud thud on the ground many stories below. Unphased by the drop, Griz started running for the Dead Bones base. His buddies should just be getting back around now.

OOC: yeah!

IC: Nikkita was standing in front of the restaurant as the gun wielding brutes came out. She was already in her ferret form, teeth bared, ears laid back and head lowered. She snarled at the small gang and bristled her fur. She was pretty sure she was giving them enough of a warning. Any one with half a brain should be able to register a giant ferret was trouble that shouldn't be messed with. Nikki shook her head and bared her fangs, almost urging them to run. If they did she could get away with chasing them down, and that was always fun. She wished she could talk in her ferret form, she would have loved to say something about how it would be stupid to think they could protect themselves with bullet proof vests. Stupid thieves.

"What is that?" asked one of the four men in bullet-proof suits. A giant ferret was now standing in their way.

"Who cares?" asked a second one. He aimed his gun at the were-ferret and fired.

Nikki jumped to the side and then bounded at the man who had fired at her. She swatted the gun out of his hands and tackled him into a nearby wall. He had probably had the wind knocked out of him as he slid to the ground. Nikki then knocked the gun far from his reach with her tail and charged another man. She jumped into the air and came down on the second thief. She grabbed his vest in her teeth and shook him right out of it.

Ha! take that bullet proof chew toys! Not so bullet proof now are you?
