A Heist By Any Other Name (Titans)

As Grey Girl took a moment to observe the exhibits with curiosity, she responded to Kuro. "I should be alright, but I'd appreciate you being nearby, you know...just in case."

She leaned forward into the glass as much as she could, trying to decipher the markings on the pot in front of her as best as she could. She felt like a bonafide archaeologist in her own right as she looked at the hieroglyphics. The ancient picture writing that the Egyptians had become so famous for had always intrigued her, and this was her first chance to see them in person. She looked closely as she identified a bird, a scarab, a jackal.

After a being distracted, she realized that she should avoid being late to meet up with the boy. That Mr. Green. Walking up an impressive staircase, through a corridor with impressive paintings hung with honor and towards where she understood the balcony to be, she placed a finger lightly onto her earpiece to respond to Toji.

"Noted Toji. Let's place Project: Pummeling on hold for now, though. I doubt he'd invite me out for some private time if he was just planning on attacking me." As Grey Girl spoke, she realized that was a totally possible outcome. Still though, she could handle herself...she hoped.

With a few quick steps, Carrie found herself on the balcony, alone. Wondering for a moment whether there was another balcony, she took a few more steps and placed her hands on the ornate railing. Out in the courtyard, she smiled as she looked at the fountain at its epicenter. A single spotlight sent a ray straight towards it, sparkling through the running water and sending a reflection of light bluish, wavy light onto her.

Suddenly, she felt a hand on her waist. She spun around quickly, holding her breath as she laid her eyes on Green's face. Holding her hands up against his chest as they were in close proximity, Grey Girl softly nudged him away and took a step back.

"Um, excuse you," She spoke quickly, brushing hair out from her eyes and behind her ear as a ruse to make sure her earpiece was on.

"We need to work quickly," he spoke precisely, setting down a suitcase onto the railing and clicking it open, revealing pieces to a rifle.

Carrie's eyes widened as he looked at his gear. This was the man they were looking for. Her heart beating like a jackhammer, she was about to speak when he continued.

"Intelligence is spotty, but we know for certain that this is the next target. The Red Rose will strike tonight." He spoke quickly as he began piecing the rifle together and then placing something in his ear.

Without thinking, Carrie blurted out her thoughts. "Red Rose? What are you talking about?"

For the first time, losing his debonair demeanor, Green tilted his head slightly. "How would you not know about the Red Rose? That's your assignment--"

But before he could finish his statement, a huge bang shook the foundation. Carrie felt the balcony below their feet shift and felt a moment of panic as she grabbed Green's hand and the two leaped from the balcony, all the way down to the grass below them. As the two landed, they did a quick roll to avoid most of the impact, but still landing harshly. They looked over to the hall, hearing screams of panic and chaos.

Green stood up quickly and brushed off the dirt from his shoulders as he began rushing towards the entrance, with Carrie following quickly behind him. "You're not my contact, are you?" He questioned, obviously sounding annoyed.

"No. You're not the thief, then?" She spoke, relieved.

They skidded to a stop, staring into a foggy doorway. "Get out of here, I don't need to getting in my way."

Grey Girl smirked. "We'll see who gets in who's way..."

With a roar, she ran through the archway and transformed into Clarke.

As the inky dark beast, she quickly assessed the situation and leaped towards the stage. Watching Yang push most, if not all of the band out of the way, she stood tall and hung over the instruments and anyone that Yang may have missed or not seen, allowing the debris to roll down her back and crash away so that no one would get hurt.

Grey Girl spoke through her communicator urgently. "I believe someone  named Red Rose is behind this. Does anyone recognize that name?!"

It wasn't long after Hotwire begun speaking to the man that there was an explosion to be heard. Yang was the first to react and got a majority of the band members out of the way. Garnet on the other hand already had her gauntlets and was under the giant chunk of ceiling that was threatening the lives of the rest of the people. Luckily, it easily crashed down on her where she caught it and put it aside gently, assisting other and pulling some rubble away so that they had easier access to get out of there.
Garnet then ran to where Yang was crushed, lifting the giant pieces of rubble with one hand and holding out the other for Yang to grab. When Garnet finished helping her up, she'd do a quick scan of her surroundings then look down at the blonde girl. "This is probably a distraction!" She blurted out, jumping towards the upper level and running towards the area where the artifacts were held. She was ready to attack any thief attempting to take stuff.

As the Titans leaped to action, Gray Girl stood silently, gazing upwards in awe as the a group of rose clad figures dropped down in their midst in complete synchronicity. As the rubble subsided, Carrie listened for Hotwire's shot calling, she tried to listen for a spot where she could jump in. Suddenly, she caught a glimpse of Yang flying through the air and through a wall. These guys meant business.

This was her first time ever trying to fight with the team and she definitely didn't want to get in the way, but she wasn't very experienced in combat. With that in mind, she took point with Toji's goal and decided to focus on helping people escape until instructed otherwise. Seeing a few people dangling from a balcony, the beast rumbled over and offered a hand forward to grab two of them and lower them to safety.

"My God! What is that thing!" A man dressed in a tuxedo yelled as she approached.

Shrugging off the comment, Carrie grabbed him along with the woman beside him and lowered them gently to the lower level toward the exit. "I'm just trying to help," Carrie said quietly to the two through her grumbling voice. "Just get out of here!"

When Garnet ran upstairs towards the artifacts, two holes were blown into the ceiling followed by a rope dropping down with people on them. They were both in full black body armor although one had visible weapons strapped to him and the other had nothing. The gem wasted no time sending the weaponed one into a wall but was dragged off her feet by thorns and vines. The other person had made this vines with thorns wrap around Garnets ankles and yank her upside down.
The gem growled and ripped herself free from the vines, crashing down to the ground. She then attempted to tackle the vine manipulating girl, only met with a thorn wall.

Luckily for Garnet, she knocked out the other person with all the weapons, it seemed as if he had the stuff to break into the glass and get the artifacts, so she was glad he took care of that.
While thinking, she punched through the vines to reveal the grinning girl on the other side. Before Garnet could do anything, her glasses were knocked off to show off her three eyes. She quickly looked away, hoping the others were doing fine with the other attackers. However, Garnet was dealing with this girl who always seemed to have a back up plan.

She couldn't let her win, so Garnet turned her head and went to tackle the girl head on to finally take her out. The vine manipulator had other plans in mind as she set vines right into Garnet's third eye, causing Garnet to stop and look down at the ground. She summoned new glasses, but before she could attack again, the man she knocked out before was up and shoved an electricity like stick through her body.
Light would erupt from the gems body and Garnet would turn completely white before poofing. One smaller red body would appear and a blue gem would fall next to her. "SAPPHIRE!" Ruby screamed before taking Sapphire's gem and shoving it into her pocket.

"You CLOD!" She screamed as her body erupted into flames. The small gem would set fire on all the vines and set the two other people on fire, but only their clothes. While they were freaking out Ruby took the time to knock each of them out, her hair still on fire from the rage.
She managed to drag both unconscious bodies to the rest of the fighting where she tossed them towards the ground so that they'd have eyes on them somewhat. After that, Ruby would emerge on fire to where she'd start tackling the people. "I'M AN ETERNAL FLAME BABY!!"
