The Age of Adventure (Roleplay Thread)

Alvida eyed the boy for moment then nodded, he looked sturdy enough, not like she had say in the crew the captain picked anyways. Alvida looked as an Irishman began a bar fight, this ought to be interesting. Alvida walked up to a random drunkard, grabbing her bottle of rum, and bashing him in the head with it. "I love Bar fights." Alvida laughed elbowing a person in the gut quickly.

Chris walked into the bar with his hat hiding his eyes. He walked over to a table and watched the fight, a smirk on his face. He was here on business, he had to find a ship willing to take him on, The Brotherhood needed him to.

In spite of his spiel, the mood turned ugly. It began with a lone youngster. A single voice spoke derision at them. In response, Henry's chair scrapped back. He would meet this malarkey head-on. Silence the nay-sayers before a fever could spread among the masses. For should they get it in their heads to riot-

A weapon discharge. Hell in a handbasket!

The room transformed itself from subservient subjects, to an unrestrained brawl. Several of his own sailors found themselves targets of these unprovoked attacks. One even struck back, with the edge of a bayonet. A bar patron was sent reeling away, two fingers less.

"Order!" Cogsworth was drowned out, "Order!" His efforts were fruitless. The Commander called for his men to gather. They were stronger as a unit. Certainly able to resist this writhing mass of neerdowells. As the sailors reeled from the violence, Cogsworth noticed one face with a foggy recollection. Whoever was originally shot must have had a brother, because the fiend he saw now was the spitting image.

Nine of his men surrounded Henry, "Form ha'-square. We free our fellows. We 'press the laggards." A line of steel leveled with the crowd. They had no duty to draw quarter with protesters. If any man attacked them, Cogsworth wouldn't prevent his men from doing what came naturally. Self-defence.

Caleb roared happily as he drove blow after blow into the man who had shot him, his fists now bloody. "Spill me whiskey, will ye? That'll teach yeh." Standing up, he looked around at the brawl he had started. Feeling quite proud of himself, he snatched a random drink off of the counter and took a long swig. Then he saw the military folk advancing to protect their commander. This needed to be fixed: No one was safe in a bar brawl, and cheating by hiding behind a layer of muskets was not going to be allowed on his watch. "Oi, ya fancy dressed dope!" Caleb yelled at the commander. "If ya goin to hide behind some scary men, why not wear a dress too! If you wanna be a women, ye should dress like one!" Caleb leapt on the bar top and continued berating the commander "Mind you, ya almost look the part already! I think the jolly ol' is getting desperate. A wee lady such as yourself has no business commanding such fine men. Or do ye let them have you when they get bored? I'll bet that's it!" Caleb almost fell off of the bar in his drunken laughter.

"Aye! Aye!" JaK yells out with a mug in his hand and slams it down on someone's head before jumping up on a table and diving off at some turncoats battling it out in front of him.

Joshua watched the boy fighting the brawlers and was rather impressed. Wow...that kid's good. I suppose I could just leave this all to him, but... Joshua looked at the shelf full of bottles behind the bar and smirked. Two bottles flew out of their places and towards the small square of Navy men. Where's the fun in that?

April walked into the bar after having cleaned up the ship a bit while they were still at port. "Well then..." *giggle* She punched one guy in the face for getting too close and it seemed that was a reason for everyone else to try and fight her too. A smirk flashed across her face as she twirled around them, making it look like a dance as she fought. "Haven't done this in awhile!" *giggle* She grabbed a bottle from a table, took a quick swig and sent it crashing down on a man's skull.

"Allllrigghhhttt, the bonnie lil lass is ere' ! Now we have ourselves a right proper dance boys." JaK said standing up and licking the blood from his lips and rubbing blood from his forehead.

Sarza couldn't help but chuckle from where she was sat calmly, watching the brawl from her chair as she finished her bottle of whiskey and swung it backwards on the head of a guy trying to creep up behind her, catching the bottle of rum that fell out of his hand as he fell back, taking a swig of it and relaxing "well then, I feel we're ready to set sail, meet you at the ship when you're ready" she called out to her crew before downing the rum and sliding under the table, a black cat emerging from underneath it and stealthily walking out of the tavern, ducking between legs and leaping over drunken men, towards the door where she slid out between it and looked up to Joshua "I'll meet you at the ship, if you don't want to come along now that is..." She said before hurrying to the docks and up the gang-plank onto her ship where she turned to her human form and went to her Captain's Quarters and took the small pouch from her belt, opening it and pouring the contents into her mouth, licking the inside happily as she wiped some of the blood that had trickled down her chin with her finger before she then licked her finger happily.

Alex looked at the chaos and heard his captains command, he got up and walked towards the exit, getting punched a couple of times on his way but not caring. He left the bar and walked onto the ship Thank god we can finally set sail

Alvida growled at a man who bashes her heat with a broken leg off a chair. She tripped him quickly and kicked him in the face with the heel of her boot, knocking him out quickly. "Like they always say, Little Thieves are hanged but great ones escape!" Alvida quoted an old Russian saying, taking of the mans whisky and taking a big gulp of it, dropping it back on his head. "Damn drunkards." Alvida said, watching the glass break on his head. The captain would yell out to her crew, and most of them would quickly leave and get the heck out of here, Alvida followed easily. She wasn't drunk, all though she had lots of whisky and rum, but she had her fathers jean, therefore she didn't get drunk easily.

The formidable formation of navy personnel continued to secure their position. Stepping over comrades and fending off brawlers alike. What had preempted disaster now became fortuitous to His Majesty's forces. A large number of violent sots were rendered unconscious. Every spare bottle found its way to someone's head. The immobilised men could be carried back and impressed into navy service with minimal fuss. Provided the severe head trauma hadn't rendered them simpletons.

Victims were scooped behind the advancing sailor square. Though Henry saw none of the men whose outrageous actions had caused such strife. Instead he presided over his subordinates, "Netbers! I can hear Simmons' moaning from above this commotion. How bad is his wound? Will he live to see the surgeon?"

"Oh 'e'll survive alright." The sailor replied in a far more nonchalant tone than expected, "The daft sodbag has only taken a blow to 'is knackers. Teach him not to be so careless now, won't it?" A slung bottle suddenly impacted a support beam above Netbers and rained shards down on the startled deckhand, even as he shielded his eyes. Cogsworth turned to catch sight of the culprit, simultaneously ducking a second projectile. They came from behind the bar, and it could be no coincidence that the gentleman who'd started it all was nearby.

A scathing retort was launched against Henry. Never a stranger to uncouth civilians, but the man on the bar-top caught his pride just right. Cowardice - Henry Cogsworth! The very thought! Two sailors apiece approached from either side of the bar, expecting to pen anyone behind it inside with their bayonets. Cogsworth pointed his sword at laughing Caleb. The tip poised to strike up his chin, if only Henry took a lunge closer.

"In the name of the Crown, you shall step down and yield." He tried to disassociate the insult from proceedings. Though satisfaction was a hard emotion to restrain.
