Challenge in the Park (Open to All)

As JaK received the glare from Grace, it was almost as if she had shot him with a look. However, he was used to dagger stares before, it came with the territory. Immediately afterwards he would address Dante, ignoring the comment about his code name. Which, now that he thought about it was chosen on a whim. I mean he just called himself Sage because Cyborg told him to pick a codename and it was the first thing that came to mind. Although there was a tournament where he called himself "Kid Conduit" back in the day, but that name was kinda wack...Maybe "Kid Wicked" would suit someone of his caliber better. Meh, he'd think about it more later, for now he'd just answer this guy's question.

"Not to mention we live in this park and it just so happens we do our jobs so well, that the world doesn't need saving, at the moment at least. In fact, things haven't been too bad lately at all. Almost wondering when were going to get some real bad villains again."

Maybe JaK should be more careful what he wished for? After saying his request for higher competition, he would put back on his sunglasses and place his hands behind his head, moving back into a more relaxed stance.

Lance would just smiled and gave a light chuckle at Dante's remark about his codename. Lance would then notice Grace's glare at JaK and wondered what that was all about. He would just ask later or better yet not even mention it. Lance would then listen as JaK would answer Dante's question about why they were all in the park. Lance would then fold his arms as he took a few steps closer to Dante. He would look at him, sort of inspecting him.

"So I have a question for you now. You're pretty powerful, but what are your powers?"

The question made Lance wonder because he was not really sure. Was it some kind of magic or something like that, he wasn't sure. the question made him scratch his head.

Lance slightly laughed at Dante's comment. Lance looked at JaK and then at Grace. He was thinking about it and didn't see any harm in asking his next question. The worst that could happen would be no, but Lance was sure that that was not going to be Dante's answer. Lance thought that this guy seems to be trustworthy enough, so why not. Lance couldn't think of a reason why not to ask Dante, so it was set in Lance's head.

"Well you seem like a good person and your powerful. I don't think I have any doubts in my mind when I ask if you want to join the Titans East. I think both JaK and Deep Freeze would agree to having you join. Right guys?"

Lance would turn back to look at both Grace and JaK.

Lance shook Dante's hand as he got all excited. Lance put a smile on his face. Lance went and reached to his back pouch. When his hand came back, there was a titan communicator. He went and gave it to Dante.

"Welcome to the team."

Lance said to Dante. Lance would then turn around and start walking away. He would give JaK a look as he walked away. Soon Lance would be out of sight.
