Jump City; Bon Appétit (Open)

Lucian strolled through the streets of downtown Jump City. He was gauging his new prey. Each city had a different kind of people, and these people were well guarded. These people were used to monsters like him. But perhaps that kind of acclimation would work to his advantage. That kind of reaction to prolonged exposure did sometimes work to breed complacency.

Until he started getting results however, he went for the homeless that could be found in alleys. Undocumented civilians, and largely uncared for. Many went missing with little response from local authorities or the citizens. And so he started investigating alleys for his quarry, keeping an eye out for any unusual people.

This city felt so foreign yet familiar, an odd combo that shouldn’t really be combined together into a single thought process about something. Though from Rachel's position it was viable due to coming from another city just like this not too long ago. She could still feel that soft skin in her hands with its hidden muscle mass under it tensing from its positioning and the  struggle the bone had in holding itself together of its neck as she was ready to snap it.

If she only had 5 more seconds there Starfire would have been dead. She was so easy to get into that position and would have made the most impact too… it was perfect… which likely was why it couldn’t be. She’d finish the job one day though… they all needed to feel the loss and pain that she felt when they all destroyed her family.For now it was Music and people watching.

She sat on the ledge of a building looking across the street as a man looked through a nearby alley for something. Which seemed to catch the attention of some homeless person who seemed to be either not human or deformed. Nonetheless he still watched the man carefully before he started to advance over to the man. This was likely going to be interesting. She thought to herself as she silently watched from afar.

It was strange to be in a city again, to hear to the noise of rumbling engines and the clicking of people shoes as they walk pass Atlas. To see the sky blue and the roads not cracked from warfare. It was truly something from a dream, that at any moment Atlas will wake up and find himself back in the wastes. But alas this was no dream, cast astray in another time and place. It was infuriating really, to be mocked with similarities between this world and his felt like some sort of cosmic torture. The one redeeming feature that this world was not too similar, for he doubt he can handle seeing alternate version of his former friends. Leaning against the wall of a building at the entrance to a alleyway, Atlas simply watch people stroll on by without a care in the world.

He sniffed the air. A few scents intermingled with the rest, but a few special ones he could distinguish. The more immediate one was the man approaching him from the alley. Without hesitation he began approaching the homeless man so he could feed. But then he noticed a woman in top of a roof looking at them. He had to find some way to get the man secluded first. Away from prying eyes. So he cut into a side alley, breaking line of sight with the female. He hoped the man would follow suit.

Raven grumbled under her breath seeing the man trying to break her line of sight, She understood he likely didn't want to get caught doing whatever it was that he wanted to do but sometimes she wished there was a sign on her that said ‘Hey i'm just here to watch please proceed I will literally do nothing about it.’ Maybe others wouldn't try to ruin her fun time all the time. I mean you didn’t turn off the signal to your tv station to avoid people from seeing your broadcasts and shows right?

So why block her form of entertainment. But fine if he wanted to ruin her fun she would find another way. She started to float as she crossed her legs closing her eyes as she began to meditate and after a few moments her eyes shot open glowing pure white as her sight and vision flowed into a raven down the alleyway on a fire escape’s eyes her consciousness taking over its. It’s eyes glowing white for a moment before returning to normal and looked down watching the man from its location silently. Hmmf try to take away her soap operas will you now?

Atlas watch the fellow briskly go by him into the side alley before looking back out into the traffic. Not finding the swift exit of any interest given it could be a number of basic reasons such as a person taking a shortcut to somewhere. There was also a lass from atop a building he spotted but again, did not find her of interest as it's not a crime to meditate or whatever punks do these days. A sigh escaped him as he realize that nothing interest him anymore, he should go find something to do beside liqueur around the homeless camps and drink at taverns. Disregarding the fact that he had lost his ideals he was an old man who at the time accepted his end, but now he is young in another world that he finds himself with a second chance that he does not want or feel like he deserves it.

He rounded the corner and waited. With no one gazing at him so intently, he raised his arm to shoulder level and waited for the homeless man following him. If and when he rounded the corner, he would jab the man in the neck with his hand, and if it worked, would grab him and rip open his throat with his fangs.

There were still plenty hours left in the night. Perhaps he would investigate more of the city when he was finished. There was nothing wrong with familiarizing yourself with your new hunting grounds.
