The runaround (Open)

The waves broke across the shoreline of Titan Isle. The jagged rocks and the cool breeze of the bay never changed. The seagulls chirped, the moonlight beamed across the ever shifting surface of the ocean but the one anomaly that didn't belong was the pitter-patter. The quick patter of footsteps across the water. The speed of which was increasing by the moment. "So that's it?"

The blurred movement of one individual swiftly glided across the waves as he dashed up to Titans Tower at 450 miles per hour. He stopped briefly at the front door and examined the lock. "Hmm, locked up pretty tight." The young man said and then dashed around the entire vicinity within 4 seconds. "Yep no visibly accessible way inside." The young man tapped his foot while rubbing his chin. If there was a security system in play he was purposefully attempting to activate it. Any camera would pick up the image of his black comic book hero shirt, purple leather jacket and turquoise cargo pants. Not to mention his glowing indigo irises.

A certain blue haired halfling glances at the video feed, a mischievous grin curling across his face.Ah? A troublecauser...or a new recruit?Either way....a little 'testing' can go  a long way.He glances around,making sure there were no scoldhappy teammates around, and pulls out a button labeled PRESS ME, I DOUBLE DOG DARE YA!!!! And...as you can expect...Toji presses it, after making sure to set the cameras on Record....


Outside, klaxons suddenly begin ringing, and turrets pop up, seeming to aim at the young man."WARNING, WARNING, STRANGER DANGER, STRANGER DANGER...EAT LEAD, EMPIRICIST SCUM!!!" Dirt  explosions suddenly begins tracing a line towards Renegade as the turrets 'fire', and flashing lights hopefully confuse him so he has no idea what's going on.

The turrets all prop up and aim at the intruder. Rather than run he stares at the fixtures with a hand covering his mouth. He pointed at the security grid while jumping up and down "Oh a security system," the speedster said as little red dots appeared all over his body. The aiming mechanisms all fired and riddled the teenager with lasers. However the lasers didn't pierce or even burn his skin. "Huh?" The boy spun around and saw he was completely fine. "A fake?" Maybe he had been induced with some kind of effect that would make him explode. The oddest thing about the situation was that he hadn't attempted to avoid even one shot.

Toji blinks.What?! He didn't freak out, or avoid it...."Maaaaan...I was hoping to add that to Titan's Funniest Videos..." The turrets pop down. Sighing, the prankster opens the door."Yo!! You've just been scanned bud!! Luckily, nothings up with ya!!Codenames Lightning Wolf!!" He grins up at the  taller teen.

The code name and look were already a tip off as to what this blue haired kid's identity was but when he was approached by the Titan speedster there were other perks that tipped Hunter off that he was a speedster. The way his muscles tensed, the way he was attempting to take slower steps, and moved with controlled motion. Everything Hunter did as well.

Hunter smirked and put a hand on his hip. A second later he began speaking at 20 words per second. He wanted to make sure he was right and this boy had super speed abilities also. "Yo, you can call me Renegade. Came to Check out your place."

Toji tilts his head, blinking. Woah,....a speedster as well? He grins, slackening his control some and nodding, the edges of his head blurring slightly. The boy responds just as quickly."A speedster huh? Well, welcome!!! That is,unless you have bad intentions...If so, prepare to be pummeled deeper then a mine.Wanna come in?"

"Hmm, tempting but first I think you know what we have to do first." Their super speed conversation ended just as fast as it had began. The two staired at each other. It had been a year or so since anyone had actually made him listen in real time much less kept up with him. Renegade's body began to blur as his actions began to bend the laws of physics for creatures of his size and weight. "Ready...." He said waiting for Toji to join in. "...set..."

Toji nods,narrowing his eyes as he crouches, the edges of his body blurring slightly." Oh, you bet....I won't take it easy on you.Fair warning." As Rene begins counting down,Toji grins, couching down as lughtning flows around him.He suddenly says,"Go!!!!" With a joyful laugh, the halfling is off, a mere smear against the landscape. It was exciting,being able to really race.

Renegade didn't even take a stance but as soon as Lightning Wolf yelled GO he was running with him. The lightning was a nice touch, but was he as fast as a bolt actually? The two ran around the tower faster, faster, and faster still. Dust kicked up a cloud each time they went around. They had gone around the tower 25 times in 30 seconds already. They were currently neck and neck but Renagade could feel where the Titan's level of speed was at. He purposefully began slowing down and on the last rotation Toji took the lead and lapped him.

Renegade stopped and put his hands on his knees. "Jeez," he said panting. "You are quick..."

Toji slides to a stop, panting slightly.Yes, yes, he won!!! The boy hops around, throwing a fist into the air, then blinks, looking at Renegade with a slight frown."You didn't hold back, did you?Are you OK?" He blurs over,examining him with concern.

"No, no, I'm fine. I just get tired easily." He took one last deep breath and looked at the tower. "Got anything to eat?" Now for his real objective.

Toji nods, grinning."Well, yeah!!This is a home, after all.C'mon, least I can do is refeul you,"He strides towards the tower, glancing back.The titan grins, and makes a cmon gesture."Well, slowpoke?"He wasteasing, of course. The halfling got a feeling he was faster then that.

"Funny," Renegade snapped back at the slowpoke comment with a nerve twitching over his forehead and a half grin plastered on his face.

He stepped inside the tower with Toji, "which way is the kitchen...no bathroom. Eh, I'll just find it myself." He spoke quickly and ran off even quicker. The boy dashed through the tower opening doors and stopping at times to take in cool sites and scenery.

Toji blinks as the guy races off. Ah, he didn't think he should let the guy just wander around....The Titan blurs after him."Hey, bud!!! Hold on a bit!! I'm not sure you're allowed to be just poking around!! I'll be in big trouble!!!" He winces. The halfling really didn't want to have to scrub down the entire tower.

As Toji raced after Renegade he would arrive at the bathroom just as the toilet flushed. "Phew," the somewhat uninvited guest said as he exited the bathroom and rubbed his hands together. "So what's the deal, the place is kinda...well empty?" Renegade kept up his speed speak, he liked talking in real time for once.
