Come and get it! (open; heroes welcome)

A bright light was heading straight for Weis. Her face lit up like a lightbulb as she braced for impact but was saved by her divine warrior. "Go get 'em." As Toji attacked the creature the girl made her way over to the other woman. "Heyyy! Would you like to receive my blessing as well?" The young goddess waved her hand back and forward while jumping up and down to make sure the web-shooting girl was definitely ignoring her and not blind or something.

The prowler was much too busy to be worried about Entoma or feel her spell activate, or much less worry about it. She was dead set on taking out Toji right now. It rushed forward to meet the demon after seeing him block both beam attacks, but soon found that Toji had closed the gap and punched it full force before it realized what had happened. It's head was left with a sudden, bloody indent and it's neck could be heard snapping at the force of the impact. That...that hurt. Snapping it's head, neck, and jaw back into place, (-7EU) the beast instantly retaliated with a swift attack with it's claw, swiping it across where Toji stood.

Entoma looked in the direction of the girl in white, tilting her head while pointing to herself to confirm if the goddess was referring to her. That seemed to be the case. Entoma then followed up with an X-gesture with her hands, in response to the white girl's query. She was not fighting at the moment. A blessing was thus unnecessary. In the first place, the insect queen was not yet quite done analyzing the effects of the power, which she continued to observe per the lightning boy's actions. He certainly looked stronger than earlier.

The monster was tough and appeared to possess some regeneration capabilities. Over the course of the fight, Entoma had seen it recover from several kinds of injury. So far the blue-haired boy had shown no variety in dealing with the creature other than hitting it with brute force. She wondered how long he could keep it up. This was turning out to be a battle of attrition with neither side truly gaining an advantage over the other, even with the goddess' help. Whoever ran out of energy first would be the loser.

She continued to keep an eye out anyway for something more interesting to happen.

Toji blinks. Ah...Sucker can really regenerate... The halfling leaps toward as the claw shreiks past where he was, and he snorts, unleashing a flurry of blows before sliding under the monster kicking up repeatedly. Rolling out, he lays his hands on its hide, channeling electricity into it before jumping up and axkicking it.

"Oh..." The spider-girl wasn't ignoring her after all but still wasn't accepting her blessing it seemed. Well that was fine the Lightning boy was more her type anyway. "Ok then, I'll sit here in case you change your mind." The bubbly Goddess twirled and plopped down next to the arachnid female. While sitting she kicked her feet playfully and observed Toji dash around and attack the creature. "Ooh! He's so quick."

This was getting to be a frustrating night for the prowler. If only it could HIT Toji...it would grind him under it's claws, but you can't kill what you can't catch.

Meanwhile, the prowler was taking quite the beating. It took a flurry of blows to the face and shoulders that it would have to regenerate (-5 EU), follow by enough kicks to the gut to almost throw it off the ground (-5 EU). The beast's eyes and senses tried to keep track of the pesky gnat, but was disoriented by the sudden, swift attacks. Feeling a sudden shock in it's side that it would ALSO have to heal from (-5 EU), but by now it had gained enough composure to swipe back at Toji, and it's arm would reach the demon in a backhand swipe at about the same time as he delivered the kick. (-4 EU)

The swipe may or may not hurt Toji, but it would at least be successful in knocking him back a considerable distance, giving the prowler a chance to recompose itself. After quickly healing, it turned to Toji and roared again. It didn't like how this fight was going. So many eyes opened on it's body now, starting to glow red. It suddenly let loose flurries of red beams from eyes all over it, mostly firing them horizontally. They fired in all different direction, and the eyes turned in their sockets to hit whatever they could. Eight beams were fired all at once, (-8 EU); two of them trained on Toji's location, while one specifically fired at Entoma and the other targeted Weislogia. The other four waved about, causing carnage to every building in sight and giving Toji a few obstacles to dodge if he avoided the first two by moving out of their peripheral vision.

Entoma's antenna twitched as the monster resorted to using the red beams from earlier and one of them was obviously aimed at her. Perhaps it was a bit too much to ask to watch the entire spectacle in peace. From her seated position, she quickly reclined, lying down flat on her back as the beam passed dangerously close above her body. As she sat up again, she tilted her head to one side, momentarily pondering the creature's actions and deciding on the level of retaliation that hostility warranted. It was probably time to reveal more of her hand... or not. It wouldn't really be obvious that she was the one in control.

After the monster had finished firing its beams, Entoma would anonymously demonstrate how terrifying it was to make use of her insect sovereignty in an area like the dining district of a city. Thousands of cockroaches crawled out from beneath the ground and under the rubble of the devastation, proof that no amount of pest control could ever really eradicate the six-legged menace and at most only kept them at bay. They were everywhere, including appearing right under the monster's feet. The sheer sight would probably cause an entomophobic to die from shock. The legion of roaches would surround the monster, crawling all over every square inch of it and every hole they could find unless it somehow managed to shake them off. A portion of the swarm even took flight in case the monster tried to leap away. An oily musky stench filled the air, characteristic of extremely severe roach infestations.

Would this hurt the creature? Probably not. But having multiple eyes would no longer help it as much with the swarm blotting out most of the view.

Toji snorts. It may be durable, but it was slow. He'd settle its hash soon enough.Then a claw shreiks towards him as he lands, causing the halfling to blink before he's batted across the battlefield, crashing through a brick wall.After a short pause, the halfling staggers out, glowing blue blood leaking out of his mouth and down his arm as he holds it."That...hurt."He flexes the limb, flinching but nodding. Still usable...Then he notices the beams. Cursing as some fly near the girls, Toji grabs his shuriken, tossing it up and sending it lodged into the ground, providing some cover. Had to stop those beast before it destroyed more...He crouches, noticing with a grin that it was suddenly covered in roaches, then runs,gradually picking up speed until he was little more then a smear, then leaps onto a wall. The titan jumps, putting a hole into the wall, and javelins towards Sam, lightning coating his form. His shoulder slams into the beast with incredible force, and heflips, unleashing a. Hammer blow.

Once again, Weislogia's eyes grew wide as she was attacked only to be saved once again by her champion. She giggled as the beam was deflected by his weapon. The scene was almost too comical - she leaned back and kicked her feet in the air playfully. "So exciting," Weis said, but then came the bugs. She looked around with a face of pure disgust as the smelly little pests stormed the creature Toji was fighting. She stuck her tongue out and pinched her nose as the roaches scuttled past her.

The beast noticed that it's foe again protect the young girl he seemed to be talking to earlier. He must care about her. However, it didn't have much time to consider that before it found itself swarmed by roaches. Swarms and swarms of annoying, small, pestering roaches. It tried to squash them as the crawled over it's skin, but their numbers didn't make that an easy task. Roaring in frustration it tried to shake them off, but as they stuck to it and got into the creature's eyes, it decided to take a different approach. Every eye that the roaches got into changed into a set of jaws; and considering that was about all of them, it was really quite a sight to behold. The beast, now covered in small mouths full of teeth, chomped down on just about every roach that came to them. It was blind now, but at least it was getting a snack. It didn't care about the taste too much.

As Toji came in for another charge attack, the prowler heard him coming. It didn't need eyes to detect the boy and turned to try to block the rush with it's arm. Unfortunately it's aim was off and Toji hit it square in it's hard, bony shoulder, dislocating it and breaking several bones and ligaments as it sent the beast tumbling over on it's back, right into what was left of the restaurant. If that weren't enough, the attack was followed up with a hard downward blow to the chest, breaking several ribs and collapsing a lung. It wasn't so quick to regenerate this time, coughing after having the wind knocked out of it like that. It slowly healed enough to be able to breathe a little more properly, though still sounded like it was having difficulty. (-3EU) Slowly, it started to get up with its 3 good limbs, but all it managed to do was flip over in it's injured state. At least it wasn't covered in roaches anymore.

Entoma was slightly surprised at the monster's rather impressive morphing ability. Seeing that it could reshape its body into more than just sprouting eyes, she figured it would be prudent to assume it could morph just about anything. It kind of reminded her of some of her colleagues from back home. It didn't seem like it was particularly picky about what it consumed either... which reminded her of herself. In any case, not wanting to continue giving it free food, she had the remaining roaches avoid coming in contact with the mouths and just fly around it. If it wasn't using eyes to sense things, then the other options were sound and smell. The roach stench was still in the air and the buzzing of flapping wings should still be a bit distracting.

Entoma found herself unconsciously smiling while watching the scene. It was fun in its own way, trying to discover one by one the capabilities of the curious creature.

Toji dances back, ignoring the roachy stench in the air and examining his target. The instinct to hunt was waking up, but he wasn't about to lose control, thankfully.Hmm...it seemed really hurt...He hoped he didn't have to destroy it."You had enough yet,beasty?C'mon, yield!!!"

Weis moves to the female spider or roach lady's side once again while pinching her nose. "Are you SURRREE you don't want my blessing?" She taunted Entoma. "You could probably help him beat that thing if you accepted me as your goddess?" She flipped her hair and donned a sleazy grin.

Thought it may not have minded the scent, per-say, the prowler was starting to get overwhelmed by the smell of the roaches crawling around.  Even thought they came off, the smell still lingered pretty strongly, and their swarm were noisy enough to start to disorient the beast.  Having a strong sense of smell and hearing wasn't working in it's favor right now.  

The beast took it's time regenerating from the wounds, slowly getting back to it's normal state. (-20EU) Now tired of dealing with an opponent it couldn't hit and a massive swarm of bugs that pestered every sense it had, the beast was ready to leave and go look for a meal elsewhere.  So far, this wasn't worth it.  Though still angry and hungry, it knew when it was a good time to back down from a fight.  

Now fully restored again and turning half of those mouths back into eyes, the prowler stood up and faced Toji again.  No growls, no attacks, no threats; it just stood there and stared for a few moments.  He'd leave him and his girlfriend alone for now.

As for the other girl...why was she still here?  And alive?  It wondered if she had something to do with the roaches, seeing as all of them were drawn to the prowler itself.  Never before had that happened, roaches just didn't behave that way normally.  Assuming that one of these three probably caused it somehow, and having already decided that attacking Toji or his goddess wasn't a good idea per-say, it decided to take out it's frustration on the only other being present before it left.  

The prowler snorted, then turned to start walking away.  As it did, four of it's eyes focused and fired upon Entoma. (-4 EU)  The beams swept across her location multiple times with the intention of hitting her no matter how hard she tried to doge.  Ever played jump rope and limbo at the same time?  It would still be easier than dodging these two and a half ton, searing hot beams.  Unless she could teleport, move quicker than the human eye, or had a trapdoor under her feet; she would almost certainly be hit.  The good news was, that was the last attack the prowler had planned.  It tired of this game and headed to the docks to find something else to do. Maybe just find a place to sleep somewhere.

Though the monster once again morphed into its multi-eyed form, in terms of who had the most "eyes" in the battlefield, it would still be Entoma who fit the bill. The flow of the battle was decided by the one who could perceive the most. In this case, she wasn't fooled by the beast's apparent gesture of retreat. She picked up on its eyes focusing on her. It seemed the creature was finally going to hit her seriously. She would respond in kind... well sort of. To her, that's what it meant by revealing more of her hand.

"Wall of Chitin"

Her first spoken words since the fighting started were probably drowned out by the buzzing, but that didn't matter. Typically, she didn't need to say it out loud anyway and only did so without meaning to. A wall over two meters high quickly rose from the ground to intercept the incoming beams. When the dust cleared, the protective structure was barely scratched. Behind the wall, Entoma finally stood up again, having spent the entire time just sitting down. The wall was almost twice her height and logically one would think she could not see over it - a fatal flaw in its design. But that didn't matter when she could see through other means. She continued to observe the creature with her bugs until it eventually left.
