Summary: Docor Animo's mutated dogs traced Jenny's scent to Titans (East) Tower in Jump City's park. Realizing he would need some serious firepower to retrieve the girl now. The Doctor decided to steal a large enough ruby to power his "Evolution Eye" to maximum capacity. Now he and a giant mutated insect are raging across the city to attack and destroy the Titan's base of operations. Can the Teen Titans quell the nearly impenetrable tyrant's run before it's too late to save their home, or will the new and even more improved Dr. Animo's resolve prove too much for the team?
Time: Late Afternoon

Inside Jump City's Museum a man enters in a big puffy jacket, wearing a beanie, baggy sweat pants, and a scarf that covers his entire face except for the eyes. Now this kind of attire wouldn't be so unusual had it not been this late into the year. Summer was fast approaching and the streets of Jump City were warm and inviting. So for an individual to come into the museum wearing these garbs. Well, it raised more than just a few eyebrows from other pedestrians enjoying the history as well.

"Where is it? WHERE IS IT!?...Ahhh, sweet beauty. At long last the search is over."

As the muffeled vocals of the man murmured through the cloth covering his mouth, he would feast his eyes upon a certain exhibit that was African themed. The clear casing for the item in itself containing a very large red ruby that was said to have been dug up in 1908 in Africa long ago by traverles that later immigrated to Old Jump City.

"Yes, a beauty she is indeed. The perfect power source befitting my new and improved Evolution Eye. With this, all those in Jump City, including those pesky over-powered children, The Teen Titans, will fear the might of Doctor Animo!!"

With that exclamation the man would remove his clothing by ripping it off his body and revealed his one true self. A legendary villain in his own rights in his own world, but here. Dr. Animo was only known as a nemisis that Ben 10 used to have to deal with back on his Earth and was currently after the rogue Omnitirx; which rested upon the wrist of a girl who had seeken refuge from the mad scientist in Titan's East Tower. Being no fool, Dr. Animo realized that to retrieve the Omnitirx from the Titans base he would need an extensive power up and this ruby was the key. It's minerals were completely pure and bountiful, holding enough energy to power Dr. Animo's mutating machine tenfold. As he would soon demonstarte after punching through the glass case and grabbing the extremely large ruby. However, no sooner did he break into the confines of the exhibit did the alarm go off alerting security of his wrongful acts. Altough, it was of no matter to the Doctor as he began using his robotic arm to crush the large crystal into multiple shards that he would then insert into his mechanical eye socket.

"HALT, put you hands up!! NOW!!!"

After he finished inserting his power source the eye socket would close and Dr. Animo's enetire contraption seemed to radiate all throughout his body to the point where the energy being given off was not only visible, but also could be felt, like a hue of radiation. Seconds later Amino turned to answer the security guards pointing tasers at him, seemingly complying to their demands.

"Why certainly officer, if that's really what you want?"

A sick gangly smile creeping across his face as a red unstable mass energy orb began to form underneath his machine arm's raised palm and fired a red beam at the ceiling of the museum. The blast now supercharged, was so powerful, that it caused the entire section of the hallway to cave in and collapse on top of the screaming security guards who had no chance of escape as the chunks of rubble came crashing down on them. If the men weren't dead, they were definitely in serious to critical condition.

"Fools, thinking you can outmatch the genious of Doctor Animo was a grave mistake. One you have taken to your now 'concrete' graves haha. But don't worry, you're not alone. Now it's time for those little brats, The Teen Titans, to learn the excact same lesson. Now all of you, behold what my device is capable of once it is at fullpower!"

Dr. Animo was of course speaking to the bystanders stuck in the same exhibit with him, but were all too afraid to say anything to him after watching what he just did to those guards and of course the police who were ont heir way now. Seeing as the situation was obviously serious since the alarm was still going off and alerts had been called in that many had heard an explosion from inside the compound. But again, Animo just ignored them all as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a singular tick and threw it onto the ground. The tick initself even seemed to fear him as it tried to crawl away at first, but hen stopped dead in it's tracks as Dr. Animo used his animal telepathy to comamnd it to obey him. Only moments later placing his hand upon the immobile specimen as it layed on the ground and began to radiate red energy from his palm onto it, almost as if he was microwaving or supercharging the bug with the red ruby's radiation.



The results of which were amazing by anyone's standards. The tick began to grow bigger, and bigger, and BIGGER! Until finally it broke through the ceiling of the building and continued to grow still! As it got larger it would also mutate a spikey exterior, in addition to a more armor like exo-skeleiton until finally it would stop after growing at least thirty or so human feet. Dr. Animo himself could now be seen on top of it, howling with laughter as he thought of how those fools back at the academy had called him crazy and rejected his ideas for evolution. If only they could know now what he'd accomplished, and they would know. As soon as he took over the planet Animo would return back to his own universe with an army of de-evolutionized creatures just like this one and excact the revenge he so richly deserved on those who wronged him. But first, he had to obtain the Omnitrix. It was essential that he abstract the creatures that resided in it if his plan was to be of any success.

"On my pet, to Central Park! I have a House visit scheduled with a young female student from Murakami Highschool. BWAHAHAAHAAAA!!!"

With that, the mental command was given to the Godzilla sized tick monster, which roared out before moving one of it's large legs from inside the structure of the museum and out onto the streets of Jump City. As it began to travel across town civillians below would scream and run in the creature's wake. JCPD would attmept to slow down Animo's creation with all the tech they had at their disposal, but it was all for nothing. The beast's armor was to thick for their missiles, bullets, and lasers to pierce through it. It would appear the only ones who could stop it were the ones Animo were gunning for...The Titans. On it's way to the desired destination, instead of just busting through the buildings the tick decided to climb over them. Seeing that as a much more suitable option then going through the trouble of busting them down. At it's current rate of travel, the humoungous bug and Dr. Animo, who was currently blasting at police choppers that were circling the thing; they would arrive at the park in no less than fifteen minutes. By now some heores must've heard about the incident and if they had, now was the time to step in, before it was too late to save Titan's East Tower.

As the police helicopters unloaded round after round of plasma canon fire onto the back of the tick creature's hide. They wouldn't get clean shots for very long, for Dr. Animo could be seen shooting back at them with his supercharged Evolution suit. At least until Model 11 ghosted into the machiney and began to reroute power away from the laser canon and effectively locked up his arm.

"Huh, what's this...WORK you infernal contraption!!"

Dr. Animo couldn't undertand it. After doing a quick check of the device with his free hand, that part of his body still seemed to be locked up; but as far as he could tell all the components were in order and in their correct positions. So what was the problem!? The predicament was enough to make the ex-veterinarian infuriated with the entire situation as he began resorting to the age old method of hitting the equipment in an effort to get his laser canon to work again. Meanwhile, the tick decided to display a new ability. Now that it no longer had Animo protecting it from cover fire. Air support was raining down on the over-sized bug from all angles. Quite the annoyance, which was handled by one ear splitting sonic scream from the creature. If sound waves were visible, it could've been seen that the sonic pressure from the screech knocked most of the helicopters out of the sky. The machinery in all of them going haywire as the shrill frequency jumbled up the circuitry of the choopers and caused the pilots to bail out.

Elsewhere, Jenny could be seen back at Titan's East tower watching the news in horror. She hadn't been living there long, but as far as she knew the Teen Titans were pretty nice. Lance was very kind and always was offering help when Jen needed it. Dan was ok too, even though it seemed like he kept to himself mostly and didn't seem to trust her. She hadn't seen the other boy who apparently lived with them, but she figured that was because they had some kind of falling out or at least that's what she had overheard. Grace was very helpful on the other hand too, offering to aid in training Jen if need be; she worked so hard, it was very inspiring to Jenny to try harder at getting the hang of the alien technology on her wrist. Jen really did idolize and owed this team for taking her in when they didn't have too and now look how she was repaying them. A giant bug monster was on it's way to destory their home and it was being controlled by the same creepy guy from before, Dr. Animo.

"-GASP!- I have to warn them!"

That being said, the little asian girl would jump off the couch wearing only short shorts, a white tank top with a purple sweater over it, and of course the biggest fashion statement. The Omnitrix, or otherwise known as the most powerful weapon in the universe strapped to her wrist as usual. Jenny couldn't help feeling responsible for all this as she headed for the other's rooms.

"Hello!?! Anybody, please, you have to come see this! You could all be in DANGER!!"

Jenny began to frantically run through the cooridoors of the tower at this point. Where was everybody, if she couldn't find anyone before that thing got here. It could be too late for any of them to stop it.

"Oh please, somebody answer me."

Good luck trying to find Lance inside of the tower right now. Lance had saw the whole seen already headlining the news. Lance raced the creature to the tower and Lance was able to get there first, standing on the front lines of the park. Up above Lance would see grace fly right overhead towards the giant insect. Looks like Grace was going to try and take care of the man that was up top on that freak of nature. Lance's plan was going to be to slow down and/or stop this creature.

"Hate to sound stupid, but time to shake things up."

Lance would say to himself with a slight grin on his face as the ground started shaking. Instantly cracks would form in the ground and head straight for the creature. These cracks were large enough for one or two of the creatures legs to get stuck in. This was only an attempt to try and slow down this creature as the JCPD continued to open fire on the creature from air and land. This was going to take some time to take this creature down.

As Grace handed Jenny the dog, she tried to say something to the girl at the last minute after finally getting up the gumption to do so, but found it was too late for she was already half-way to the monster's location.

"WAIT!"

After the moment passed Jen would hold up Mercy to her face. The little puppy wagging it's tail as it looked into her eyes and then licked her cheek. Sadly, even it's playful demeanor could not raise this regretful feeling.

"I wanted to go..."

Elsewhere, Doctor Animo was in the middle of reconfiguring his arm so that it only would operate of his own motor sensory skills. It would take away the technical advances which allowed the extremity to shoot lasers, but he figured that would be the only way to get mobility back; most likely it was a malfunction. Little did he know, just above him Deep Freeze was about to ensnare him in an ice trap, which would immobilize Dr. Animo and leave him helpless a top his creation. Luckily, Lance from below had decided to launch his own offensive at the beast. Causing the large insect to stumble over a bit, which for the passenger on it's back made him tumble and nearly roll off the side of the tick. Before dropping to his doom, he was lucky enough to be able to grab onto a large spike on it's back with his organic arm. Upon doing so he would notice Grace's ice attack hit the spot that he had once occupied on the bug just moments earlier and freeze over.

"Ah the Titans, I knew you children would be foolish enough to try and affront my genius. The Omnitrix will be mine child, like it or not!"

While Animo was speaking, telepathically he had commanded the creature to attack the airborne Titan with one of it's sonic screeches. Obeying it's master the bug did so instantly, unleashing a large wave of sonic rings; the motion of which they made as they traveled towards Grace was almost visible. Meanwhile, the bug would also crawl out of the fissure and back up onto the side of a building. Realizing lower ground might not have been the best option. The monster apparently hadn't noticed Lance yet and thought the figure was a random occurrence, as did Dr. Animo who was more concerned with Grace now that the police had fallen back; decinding to leave exterminating this thing up to the professionals.

Lance would watch as the creature went into the cracks of the fissure Lance had made, but the insect was able to quickly get out of that predicament. The creature would go and climb up onto the side of a nearby building. Lance would go and tunnel through the ground and would end up inside of the building that the insect was on. Lance would look around to see if anyone was in the building, but the place seemed to already have been evacuated. This was probably a lucky break for Lance cause he was going to bring this place down. The ground once again started to shake and then so did the building. The building soon started to break down slowly and then with a quick clench of Lance's fists, the building would break and come down to the ground. Lance would quickly get underground as the building came down onto the insect. Lance would now be at street level, looking at the large pile of rubble. Lance would wait to see if the creature would get back up from being crashed into the ground and under the rubble.

"I don't think that thing is down and out already..."

As the sonic waves engulfed Grace and caused her to fall out of the sky, Dr. Animo would begin to cackle aloud.

"BWAHAHAHAHA, Yes, YESS!! Understand and feel the greatness of the scientific mind that is, Doctor Anim---"

However, what Animo didn't notice while he was gloating about seemingly beating one of the Titans, was that a very large block of ice was coming his way and as it collided with him the mad scientist would seemingly fall to his doom.

"Ah, AAAH, AAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!"

But luckily for him, he landed on the Onning of a small grocery store/market located in the city. As he ripped through the onning, he would land on a pile of fresh fruit that the store owner had left out on a stand to entice customers to come in. Temporarily taking Animo out of the fight while bathing him in chunks of watermelon. However, he wouldn't be alone. For no more than a moment later did the entire building that the tick creature had been seen climbing on collapsed. Completely burying the insect in ruble like a living tomb....A couple minutes passing before a large pinsir would emerge from the debirs and revealed that the armored bug was still alive, but now something was worse about it? Animo! With him temporarily ko'd, it had no goal, no purpose, and was now actually a real rampaging giant monster. This time the tick realized the source of the quake and raised one of it's legs to attack Lance. In an attempt to skewer him as his name suggested, while it roared aloud in the middle of making a thrusting motion at the teen.

Back at Titans tower, Jenny would watch the battle unfold on the news and couldn't help, but feel she should be out there. After giving a searching look at Mercy, who looked back at her peculiarly; the young school girl had finally made up her mind.

"That's it, no more running. I'm going to face this; I can't pretend this watch isn't on my wrist anymore for a reason. Fate decided to have me be there to receive the Omnitrix and I'm going to use it to help others...Just like-Just like Ben did!"

That being said, Jen would put down Grace's dog and headed to the top of the tower. Once at the top of the T shaped structure, she would take a deep breath, her hair blowing in the wind as if capitalizing on her big decision and then began to rotate the dial of the device as a placenta of alien silhouettes were shown to her.

"Ok, here goes NOTHING!"

And just like that, Jen slammed lightly and hesitantly pressed down on the faceplate of the Omnitrix and began to transform in a sea of green light!

Lance looked up with widened eyes at the attack the giant creature was about to put down on him. Lance thought about bringing up some rubble to block it, but he knew it would not be nearly enough to block this giant attack. Lance went back down into the ground like a mole. The creatures leg would go down into the ground and even go into the ground a bit causing the ground to crack. Lance would pop up not to far away from the creatures initial attack. The creature would look at Lance again and go down for another strike. Lance would continue going under and back over ground, dodging the creatures attacks almost like a game of whack-a-mole. Lance would appear up on the ground a bit farther from the creatures sight. Lance would appear next to a large metal beam that held up the building he tore down earlier. Lance would quickly walk over to the end of beam and cut off a fairly large piece of it. Lance would bend the tip of the beam to make it pointed at that end. With the help of his powers he would lift the beam up at the opposite end, aimed at the creature. Lance would slap his hand on the back of the beam and it would be launched to the creature like a spear or javelin.

"If rocks won't do the job then steel is the next best thing."

As the creature neared Lance it would raise it's large pincer again, but before it could attack it would be hit by a fairly large pointed girder and although it was unable to pierce it's flesh, the blunt force from the object did stagger the giant tick. As it took a step back, the creature looked like it was going to approach Stone again, but stopped abruptly as it began to hack profusely. It tried to roar once again, but the bug seemed unable to as the ice build up clogged it's air passage ways...Well, at least until it noticed Grace from a distance and during it's suffocation invoked it's sonic screeching ability once again. A loud rumbling could be heard as the vibrations began to shatter the ice and almost as if a mighty explosion had gone off from within it's sarcophagus, the ice and rings of motion from the screech could be seen flying towards Grace at a fast pace from it's mouth. The ice now turned into a weapon to be used against her. Even if she could stop the frozen shrapnel, she would once again have to deal with the sonic wave in itself again, a doozy of a challenge to stop both.

Spoiler:

From a distance a blue blur could almost be seen rushing towards the scene; up and over many buildings it would fast approach until finally it reached the top of the building nearest Grace and the incoming ice wave. Within one extremely quick and long leap, it would grab the girl and moved her out of the way of the attack just mere seconds before it hit, but in the time frame of a speedster it was way before hand. Landing upon the sky scraper across the way, the female Xlr8 could now be seen and would almsot immediately be recognized by the symbol just above her breasts to be an omnitirx alien, which in turn could mean only one thing...

"Phew, I can't believe I made that leap! I mean I saw the attack coming in slow motion towards you or at least slow for me and I just thought I had to do something. Please don't be mad I came, I just wanted to help. Oh, and look who I found on the roof."

By now it was obviosuly recognizable that this alien speedster wasn't Ben, but rather Jen and she still wasn't in full control of the omnitrix's powers; making the daring rescue attempt a risky move. As seen by how she was unnoticeably talking very fast and not realzing to those around her that the words she spoke were coming one after the other and without a long enough pause for a response. It was amazing really, that she had even gained the concept of stopping and processing information at such a fast rate. At this time she would quickly turn to the sky, looking up to see if he had arrived yet. She had run off a head pretty quickly after all.
