All the Tech a Nerd can Get

Rain flipped backwards just as Joshua was about to push her. As the thing sent the two guys into the wall, she quicky examined the situation. She had no idea what the thing was, or its fighting skills, but she had to do something.

Taking out her knife from its hidden pouch, she jumped onto the creature and stabbed the blade deep into its head.

Gorgutz stumbled back and groaned from the punch he had recieved. He wasn't expecting it to be that hard. He stood up, his back hunching. He was about to roar his battle cry but was shortly stopped by a girl jumping onto his back and stabbing his face. He laughed and grabbed the girl, slamming her down on the ground and picked the knife up with just two fingers. "Yo got ta do beter den dat." He said, pinching the knife, bending it in half.

Joshua sat up from the wreckage of, unstrapping his weapon and standing up as if he wasn't just hit by a four hundred pound giant. He pointed his bolter rifle at Gorgutz and began to fire at Gorgutz, his bolter rounds exploding against Gorgutz's green skin.

Gorgutz stumbled back from the blows, his skin peeling back but not breaching his inners. He went to Rain and knelt down, his pinky on the shotgun trigger that was bellow the bolter trigger, firing his shot gun at Gorgutz. He ran to cover, taking out a pistol that looked like it was welded together with trash. He fired blindingly behind some shelves that were in a store that was across the store that they were in.

"Are you okay, Rain?" He asked, holding his fire for a moment to see if she was.

Rain groaned, and just lay there for a bit. Finally she nodded, got up, and spit a bit of blood onto the floor. Whatever this was, it was going down. No one messes with her new home. Yes, this city was her home, and she wasn't letting this thing destroy it.

"I'm just great."

She stepped towards the creature.

"Hey, ugly, why don't you come get another butt kicking?"

Gorgutz grinned at her remark. He knew all orks were ugly, and to have someone reassure it was nothing new to him. He got out of his cover and said. "You da ugly one." He ran towards Joshua, catching him off gaurd, sending him back into the store. He had dropped his bolter rifle on accident. Gorgutz looked back at Rain, his grin sinister. He lifted his axe and pointed his pistol at her. "WAAAGH!" He yelled firing his pistol at her while running at her. His axe raised up and was brought down towards her, his accuracy wasn't good.

The girl fell down dead, a bullet lodged in her heart. Suddenly she turned into smoke and vanished.

Rain came from behind, took the pistil from the creature's hand, and shot at it.

Gorgutz yelled "WAAAGH" as he thought he had killed the one thing he loved to kill.

He jumped when she poofed and vanished. Joshua sat up from the pile of bricks inside the store. He stood up when he saw Rain geting shot. It felt like the world stood still. He remembered his first civilian casuallty he had. It was a nightmare, Raiders had taken five civilians hostages. He remembered that he was given the task of saving them. He failed and they paid the price of his failure. He didn't notice her behind Gorgutz sense he was about the size of a truck. He ran to his bolter rifle, rolling to it while picking it up with his right hand, and landing. Crouching. Firing both rounds. Gorgutz didn't know what to do, his pistol was hitting his back and a barrage of shotgun rounds and bolter rounds.

Joshua stopped after he ran out of ammo for both magazines. Gorgutz stood there, his blood flowing out of his chest and back. He fell down forward, breathing heavily. Joshua was surprirsed to see Rain still alive. "But you were......how did....." His jaw was dropped.

Rain looked from the creature, to Joshua, to the place the girl had been. The girl, her. She had been there. But how? Rain had been behind the creature the whole time.

She looked up at Joshua again, not quite sure of what to say. Rain stood there, then suddenly a light bulb began to spark. Maybe, just maybe, she had created another being. Could she really do that?

"Ow."

Her brain hurt, not to mention she was pretty much physically drained.

Joshua was still baffled that such a thing had happened. He had heard of cloneing but this! This made him confused. "Are you okay? I mean did you just teleport or did you just......" He knelt down to her so his face was leveled with her's. "Are you okay?" He asked again.

Rain was about to say yes when she baby barfed. Nasea hit her so hard she almost fainted. Black spots dotted her vision.

"Um, I need to get something to drink."

"Right...." He said, standing up. "There's a cafeteria on this floor." He grabbed her hand and lead her to the cafeteria, knowing that Gorgutz wouldn't be going anywhere anytime soon.

Rain stumbled along as Joshua drug her throguh the mall. The stuffy mall air wasn't helping, at all. With a small flick of her wrist, the wind forced the windows in the ceiling open. She took a deep, relaxing breath as the fresh air fill the cafeteria.

By the time the two had made their way to the food benders, Rain's vision was almost fully back to normal, and her head hurt a lot less.
