| Ghost remained waiting, silent, contemplating the situation. He had no extra knowledge that Sissel and this new person had. In fact, he knew less! He had no gem stone present when he passed...he wasn't stricken by a meteorite...he was just hit by a car...and woke up in a hospital. This was him just...having faith at this point.
As Sissel signaled that they were probably returning to the alley again, Bradley decided to speak quickly. "I'm Ghost. What do you go by?"
He was glad he was wearing a mask at this point. It seemed that both Sissel and the new boy had to take on a new physical sacrifice in return for their powers, while he was perfectly fine. Exactly the way he was before. He wasn't quite sure if he trusted either of them...but he didn't see much choice at this point...

| Rift gave the cat a suspicious look, then reluctantly sat down before it. He listened to the things it said, to which some he just couldn't make sense of.
The promise of this cat's powers intrigued GhostRift. But more so was Sissel's description of how he came to be "A meteorite did this?", it was possible. After all, he'd read that the ancient stone amulet was carved from a 'gift from the heavens'. Perhaps the stone had been part of this...'Temsik' material?
He nodded slightly at the cat to show acknowledgement and sat and thought about it for a while. He was interrupted by the other's own sudden introduction, who Ghost felt more inclined to call 'Dodgy'. Although Capser didn't feel like revealing either of his aliases, he again felt it was only fair as both had now revealed themselves at least partially. In fact, the man's name surprised him. It was like his own. Another coincidence?
He liked to think so, if not for his own sake. "It's funny you should say that. Some call me 'The Shadow', others prefer 'Phantom' and so on. But I usually go by the name 'Ghost-Rift'" He turned his head towards 'the other Ghost', tilting his hood to allow what little light there was in the world to illuminate the black, skin-tight mask concealing his face. It made it appear as if he had none, both to scare his enemies and wrap him in enigma. GhostRift was trying to do neither. But the idea of making him jump sounded amusing...

| (OOC:pull up a chair... this is going to be a long one...)
"Great. Now that we know each other... time to get on with the show."
Both of their views would shift back to the ball at Sissel's feet.
"Now rift... this is how I get around... Possessing and manipulating inanimate objects." Sissel explained. With a nod of his head, the ball rolled back to the head of the body.
"Now please don't suspect my friend here of murder, as in a moment, I'll prove it was a mob hit."
For the first time, he would show rift the temisk-spirit view of the world. Everything with a red tint, except for the ball, which had a glowing white dot in the middle. The dead man also had a core in his head, though his body was a much darker shade of blue.
"These white dot's are called cores." He then motioned to the blue flame erupting from the core.
"That flame is my soul. I can stretch it over a distance of about a meter to travel between objects. Or to enter a corpse like I'm about to do."
He stretched his soul out to the core. With a quick spiral of light, they all found themselves once more in the world of the dead, red spiraling vortex and all. Standing in front of them would be a strange blob, vaguely flame shaped.
"That's his soul. He's yet to take shape. Excuse me... can you hear me?" Sissel asked the soul.
"..."
"Hmm... still unconscious. No matter, now I'll go about saving his life."

| (OOC: *takes sip of tea and sits comfortably* Do go on... ) Giving a quick side-glance at Ghost, GhostRift followed the strange cat as it explained everything. Viewing the world from Sissel's point of view helped him understand, and observed that both of them had their own alternate views of the world. He was starting to think these coincidences were starting to become less like chance and more like....fate? No. He didn't want to believe that he wasn't in control of his own actions. Especially....the ones he'd already... Rift shook his head, returning back to reality--or whatever he was in! They were back in Sissel's dimension. The blob that was the man's soul didn't reply to Sissel, so GhostRift nodded at it and tried "Alright? Sup, you're lookin' blue....."The blob didn't feel inclined to respond, 'unconscious' as Sissel put it, so he shrugged and left it back in the hands of a more capable...being. The cat. That made sense. | |

| Ghost chose to remain silent as his two new aquaintances began to question what seemed to be a man's soul. This all seemed to be a strange concept to him. It's not like he was atheist or anything, he's grown up in a church, but something about giving all of those stories and teachings seriously...just never occurred to him. He was ready for Sissel to prove him wrong...if he rose...maybe he'd start to believe.
It didn't make sense how a rock from space could change people like this, manipulate life and death. He supposed it might be possible to simulate life, thuough. Perhaps the blue glowing thing was some sort of residual life force that could return and continue to be the person, like an imprint or an echo of the individual...but...if that were true. Would Ghost be an echo of his former self?
"Get on with it, then..." he said with an unsteady voice. Dealing with death seemed to give him the chills. So many questions, even still...

| Sissel walked up to them. "The temsik meteorite gives us power and time... I'm about to demonstrate time to you."He stood in between them and looked towards the soul, witch faded away, and was replaced by a huge, red clock. Sissel looked at it, his eyes glowing red, as the gears churned to life, the clock winding backwards. Their views shifted to the alley minus the body, ball, and anything that suggested their involvement.A number and three words appeared in front of them. 4 Minutes Before Death | |

| Rift watched on in awe as time itself was rewound to the moment before all this happened. He couldn't believe they were even here right now...then.
He wondered if his past self was still sitting by the café around the corner, about to munch on a delicious chocolate-chip muffin. Man did he wish he'd taken it with him. The temptation to peek over and check if he himself was still there, even though he was here was nearly unbearable.
The only thing anchoring him to what was currently happening was the promise of a possible explanation into his , Sissel's and Ghost's powers. GhostRift broke the silence, "Okay so...is that really true? We're back in time, just moments before all of this happened--How is that even possible?!"

| Ghost paused, confused at what really happened. He felt like, if he learned anything from Back to the Future, that they would have to be sprinting out of there if they wanted to make sure they wouldn't run into each other and create some kind of paradox. "The time reversal must be...concentrated on the individual only..." Bradley thought aloud with a hand on his chin.
"Sir...are you, um...are you alright? Can you speak, hear us?"
It was an amazing ability to have...but Bradley immediately began thinking about the repercussions. If this man would realize what had happened, would he begin questioning his existence as Ghost had been? Could he live with himself at all...? Perhaps it would be best if he didn't know that he actually did pass away...

| "He can't hear you... I'm the only one with a presence here." Sissel explained, as events replayed. The alleyway remained mostly empty for the 4 minutes... then the man ran in, chased by the thug.
"Not letting you run from me this time."
"Please! No!"
"Sorry pal... just business."
The gunshot rang out again, and everything froze and went grey as the man's body slumped to the ground.
"There we have it... the last 4 minutes of this mans life."

| GhostRift was having a very strange feeling of Deja Vu hearing the gunshot. He could just imagine himself now, chowing down on half his week's salary then all of a sudden-BANG! Truth be told, he was feeling very uncomfortable watching this murder take place. Guns always brought him back to that traumatic point in his past leading to his rebirth. "Woaaah-kay. So you just went back in time so we could watch this guy die? I guess I don't suspect 'Mr. Dodgy-kneeling-over-dead-body' over here any more!--" he gestured towards Ghost. "--But how exactly does this help us? The guys still dies anyway!"

| An angry surge flowed through Bradley's body. He stood by, once again, and witnessed the death of a man that didn't deserve to die! He bit his lip for a moment and looked down. "So you're not going to do anything!?"
He looked back up and walked over to the cat, knelt down and whispered. "What good is it to watch a man die again?" he agreed with Rift. Although he couldn't believe that he thought that he was the one that killed the man, he was beginning to feel more comfortable with him than this sadistic feline.
A slow exhale and a glance up at the stars helped Ghost center himself and calm him down before he continued. "Why then? Why do you go back and watch?"

| Rift wasn't too happy with the idea of watching this deadly charade play out again and again. However, he held back for now and let Sissel take the spotlight, expecting that at some point this sadistic sequence would be broken by some kind of intervention.
Now that his, upon reflection, rather presumptuous suspicion of Ghost was thrown out of the window Rift noticed that he seemed just as uncomfortable about witnessing this murder for a second time. Judging by his reactions, it looked as though he was more motivated by the injustice of the man being killed.
Not that Rift didn't agree that the 'innocent' man didn't need to die... ('innocent' as in not apparently guilty of anything--yet! That's how GhostRift felt about all civilians) It was just that every time he heard the gunshot ring, he could feel his own scars bite. His past was haunting him, causing him pain. He managed to contain it, only flinching whenever the man got shot again.
"Enough...!", he cried after who knows how many times the same 4 minutes had passed while Sissel was explaining things. He immediately regretted the outburst after he could feel both sets of eyes burning into him. "We've seen these same 4 minutes on a loop--When do you plan on intervening? Y'know...Stop the murder? I don't know how you can stand just seeing this" On saying 'seeing', he shuddered with both pain and the sickness he felt in his gut.

| A shake of his head and a turn of his cheek was Ghost's only response and Sissel took them back to watch again. He just really couldn't watch what he considered to be his first big failure. It was really torture. The man that he had charged himself with safe guarding being killed...murdered in a dark alley...far away from any friends...any known family...just alone and cold in the dark.
Every time he would see his life end made it more and more real. He felt that he was starting to learn more about the man as he saw his life taken...he wondered why the man begged so earnestly for his life. Did he have a wife? Kids? Was he particularly important in a company? Did he lead some kind of environmental protection agency?
Sure, Bradley had learned to see the good side of people. He'd seen plenty of dark side...he almost started to look for it in people when his dad left home, but when he decided to take on the mantle of Ghost, he felt like he had to be a good person. He had to be the best that the world had to offer, or at least try to be...
"Please...just...make it stop...OR DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!!"

| "I just needed to watch it that first time to get the info I needed to save him."
Their view shifted to the alley, the 4 minutes beginning again.
"Now here I go..." He said.
A minute went by... but he couldn't find anywhere to latch onto. The man ran into the alley.
"Time to get going." He froze time and stretched his soul to the mans belt, then his watch.
"Not as lot of things to manipulate." He thought... he knew there had to be an opening to change fate.
