"Something like that..."

Bradley's eyes widened as they were once again in the alley. He stepped in the middle of all of the inanimate objects, in awe of the amazing light show that Sissel was creating. It was beautiful to him. Everything felt warm around him, welcoming, like he was connected to everything that was happening. Then, something interesting happened. As all of the hews around him grew stronger and more saturated, a faint glow inside himself began to grow. It was pale white, barely even there, but still present. Amazing.

He shook his head, amazed at everything. He began laughing. "How!? How is this even possible?" he asked, motioning at himself and everything that Sissel was manipulating. "Do you know how you became like this...how I became like this? How can someone be dead...and then be alive?"

Sissel looked up and uttered one word.

"Temsik."

The flame began to stretch, and reached out to the box. The flame then disappeared from Sissels body, and reappeared in the box. The hue's disappeared, as time resumed. The cats body crumpled to the ground. Sissel seemed to focus, then the box lid flew open, launching the ball. As the ball began moving however, he focused. The colors reappeared, and the ball was suspended in mid-air. He stretched out his flame to the ball, and the flame moved to the ball.

As time resumed, he rolled farther into the stretch of alleyways.

"I get my powers from Temsik." Sissel restated.

As Sissel continued to transfer from object to object, changing hues and manipulating the alleyway, Bradley followed where he went. "Temsik? Who's that? What is that?" He squinted his eyes as he tried to understand. He'd never heard of anything like that before...but, if anyone knew, it would've had to be Sissel.

He stared at the crumpled body of the cat for a moment before using his telekinesis to wave his tail slightly. He'd never stared at his body when he went into Specter mode before, but expected it was something like that. Eerie...not natural...

"You're going to have to elaborate, Sissel. None of this makes any sense to me."

"Temsik... is a meteorite. Dying in the presence of it's radaition give's souls special powers. When it came down in a little park, I was just a kitten. A fragment pierced my back... and I died. Part my fur, you'll see the scar. My body was left in a semi-dead state. Cycling the moment I was alive with the moment I died. My body is indestructible in every way. I can't feel anything though. It's a husk." He explained, manipulating the ball down the alley even more.

Then he saw something bad... the gangster... from earlier... he had another gun... and was aiming it at the man from before.

"Not letting you run from me this time."

"Please! No!"

"Sorry pal... just business."

The gun sounded through the alley. The victim of the shooting crumpled to the ground as the ball rolled up to assassins feet.

"Dumb ball." With that, he kicked it next to the dead man, with sissel in it.

As Sissel explained how the Temsik meteor worked, Bradley moved over to the cat's body and moved back the fur as he had instructed. Sure enough, the shard of meteorite was still there, wedged inside seemingly holding the creature together. He felt like he wanted to touch it, but, as his hand moved closer and closer to the stone, he could feel an odd energy and decided against it. He wasn't sure what would happen if two strong sources of Temsik energy would make contact...

Suddenly, he heard gunfire sound from deeper in the alley. He turned and saw the man from before fall. Shot by the same thug. Ghost...he told him to get out of here...to get to safety...it seemed that since they were moving between worlds, they met up again...it was too late. Anger filled Ghost's stomach and he flew straight at the thug, yelling and punching him in the face at high speeds. The thug turned his head and spat out some blood before turning back to aim the gun at Bradley's face. He pulled the trigger, only to discover that Ghost had been able to slip it away from him before he realized. Bradley held up the gun for a moment, staring into the man's face.

"Why shouldn't I just kill you now!?" he exclaimed.

The man just looked back and forth for a moment, trying to see a way out. "Argh!" Ghost shot the man in his foot, making him scream wildly and then smacked the man in his face, knocking him out. He levitated him into the garbage before closing the lid and placing a few filled cans on top.

Bradley then dove to his knees beside the victim and the ball. "Sissel...can you...can you help him?"

GhostRift heard a loud bang.
His mouth half-stuffed with a chocolate muffin he ordered from the café he was sitting at, he turned around to where the noise came from.
His brow furrowed, he gave a puzzled expression that would look a lot more meaningful had food not been dropping out of his hanging jaw.

"...That sounded like a gunshot." Mumbling to himself, he scrambled in his pocket for change and scattered it over the table as he got up, dismissing the half-eaten muffin.
"I'd know a gunshot anywhere, right?"

Pulling his mask over his head and raising his hood, he strode off towards the alley.
As he got closer, he heard a commotion. Arguing.
"Oooh boy. No question about it--that was definitely gunfire" he mumbled to himself, back against the wall as he crept towards the alley.
"Just what am I doing? There's a perfectly good choc-chip muffin over there with my name on it! I should just go..."
Still, he edged closer.

"Help him? I'm just about the only one who can help him."

He paused time, the red colors coming back. But before he was able to show his abilities... he saw... another.

The man... had the same color corpse as sissel's shell. His body appearing in light blue. A white dot in the middle. The radiation was there too. But that wasn't what scared him.

"N-No way." Sissel muttered.

Erupting from the man's core... a flame of a soul. It was blue like his, but had a reddish tint burning in it.

"Another?" Sissel said.

He would resume time, and roll the ball down the alley, it ending up at Rift's feet. As he looked up to him, he jumped to his wallet in his hand, then to the flame.

To the man... the it would seem as though nothing happened. An alleyway, nothing more. But then a ball would roll up to him. His world would freeze and flash. He would find himself in a void, characterized by a red spiraling vortex in the background. Faced by a cat, and a costumed hero.

"Who are you?" Sissel said... a serious look on his face. In a matter of 10 minutes... he had met two more like him.

Before the cat had a chance to work his magic and possibly reveal something about his own origins, Sissel seemed flustered and rolled in a different direction down the alleyway, say that there was someone down there. Before Ghost had any time to react or follow him, they were back in the vortex, in the land of the dead. The shock had lessened for him now and he felt comfortable enough to glide around and move closer to the cat. As he approached, he discovered the man that had intrigued his new companion.

"Sissel, we don't have the luxury to waste any time! What about the man back there!? He's dying!" he turned back to the newest tennant of this ghost world and straightened his cloak. The man looked...not familiar...but he felt familiar...something about him made Bradley feel...comfortable...he didn't like it.

"Why did you bring him here, Sissel?"

As he peeked around the corner, Rift saw what seemed like a messy murder scene.
A body slumped on the ground, a man crouched down beside him with a gun by his feet.

Rift posed to jump from behind the corner and confront the mugger, stalled momentarily to shift a random ball out of his way. Then, in an instant, before he could react to any of his surroundings, the world around him simply collapsed.

Suddenly the building he was just leaning against shattered and crumbled away into nothing. There was something familiar about this sensation though, that didn't scare him. Just confuse him.
"Wha--but how? I swear I didn't do this!" He exclaimed, and spun around to check his surroundings. It was remarkably similar to his own alternate view using his 'Ghost Vision'.
"But this time, I didn't activate it so--"

He froze.
And stared in disbelief at the two facing him. A cat, and a guy in a costume.
They were talking to each other. It looked like the mugger he just saw around the corner.
"Woah woah woah WOAH! How the heck did--what's going on here?"
Something about them seemed oddly comfortable. They were like him...but not. It was complicated, and Rift didn't like the way they were addressing him. He heard someone ask him who he was.
He replied, mockingly.
"Really? Who am I? Capser the friendly ghost--who do you think I am?! I'd rather let you tell me how you set off my power without my con.....sent...." He saw a swirling red vortex. He didn't remember that being there.
"...who are you?"

"Time is frozen here. We can spend as long as we want here. We need answers. Even if he dies... I have a full 24 hours to help him.

The man seemed to have no clue what was going on.

"Just like you ghost..." Sissel said looking up to ghost.

He strode up to ghost.

"Your powers. Where do they come from?"

GhostRift stood stupidly where he was. Dumbfounded.
A talking cat! And it was coming this way, but there was nothing he could do.
His legs wouldn't move.
He froze there, pointed at the feline apparition and struggled for words.

"...y-you're a cat", pointing out the obvious wasn't what he intended so he tried again.
He couldn't help but feel there was some truth to its words. There was something strangely familiar about them.
"What I mean is--I, er...'acquired' them. It wasn't really my choice, it was just a stupid rock--how could I've known...what am I saying?", he paused for breath.
"There was...a moment...the nano-bots did their thing but...and the amulet was cursed and...well, to put it plainly I kinda died--But I came back!! I'm here now, aren't I? Heh"

Sissel listened to what he said... but at a certain word... he froze.

"R-rock... no way... but how did you get a hold on a piece of Temsik?" Sissel asked. He assumed that if the boy died in the presence of temsik radiation... he would at least know the name of the rock itself.

"Heh, that's what I said," Ghost sarcastically responded to the guy's astute observation of Sissel's physical state.

The fragments of a story that the man conveyed, details didn't really matter. What he understood, was that he too died and now was alive. It didn't seem right. It should have been impossible and yet...here they were...three beings marked for death, alive and well...and running into each other...just by coincidence. All of this coincidence made Bradley sick to his stomach. Sissel's explanation seemed to make sense but...something about it...was still too strange to be another coincidence. Unless pieces of Temsik were starting to be served with a burger and fries, there had to be something more to this...

He turned his back to the new visitor and whispered to Sissel. "There's something wrong about this...This all can't just be a coincidence..."

(OOC: Yeah I know. But he's scared stiff! Also the amulet may be made of Temsik but he wouldn't know)

GhostRift heard the other...well person's comment. He still wasn't sure he could trust a guy he saw leaning over a dead body in an alleyway, but it was enough to twitch the side of his mouth into a smirk.

Now that he realised that the two oddballs didn't pose any threat, GhostRift felt more relaxed. Feeling came back into his numb limbs.
"'Temsik'?" he rolled the word on his tongue, trying to find some meaning to it. The Cat obviously knew what is was doing, so he felt he could at least trust him enough to answer his question.

After pacing around a while to recover from his shock, repeating the work 'Temsik' over, he came to a halt in front of them again.
"Nope. Sorry, pal I got no idea what that is. Basically all I had was an old Chinese amulet called the 'Vita Recuperatio'", he eventually replied. "And don't even ask me why it's named in Latin. Some kind of alliance with Old English and the Ming Dynasty I heard."
"Beautiful, purple jade stone wedged in the middle. Nex minute the thing bursts into purple flame in my cold, dead hands and Poof! Here I am with a new look and powers to boot! Not a bad bargain if you ask me...shame about the dead hair cells though...whitereallyisn'tmycolour"

He trailed off, deviating from the point. Ghost made a note-to-self to stop doing that.
He answered the cat's questions, so let them digest that information while he thought out his own.

"Gemstones... flame..." Sissel repeated to himself. That tore it... he had died in some sort of Temsik-like radiation.

"Well allow me to explain... sit down... give me a listen. You died in the presence of radiation... similar to the radiation I died from. You can call me Sissel. When I was a kitten, a meteorite fragment pierced my back, killing me. However... the fragment preserved me. My body is stuck in limbo, from the moment I lived to the moment I died."

He continued to walk around, his spectral tail waving.

"The meteorite that the fragment came from became known as the 'Temsik Meteorite'. The radiation gives souls special powers. To quote another spirit I met long ago... it gives us two abilities... power and time. The power I recieved was my ability to manipulate inanimite objects. And time... I can freeze time when my soul possesses objects, as well as my ability to... well I suppose I should just show you"
