Conner would close his eyes and block out all the noise, trying to focus and see if he could hear Umbra anywhere near by. There was nothing. He'd then open his eyes and switch to his thermal vision and take a look around, it was a stab in the dark but worth a shot. Still nothing. "I've got nothing, she must be long gone."

As soon as Conner said she was gone JaK dispelled his armor coating and went back to his natural gray skin color. Taking out yet another cigarette before popping it in his mouth and shrugging.

"Oh well, she's gone for now and we kept most of the police here from being torn apart by their own shadows. I consider that a win for us, eh, maybe 50/50. Come on, lets go back home. If she comes back well definitely find out about because he's not very subtle; seeing as he favorite form of attack were big weapons, tossing cars, and throwing exploding fireballs. Maybe one of the others will know who that was."

JaK would say, not motioning for Superboy to follow him this time, mainly because he didn't want his new partner to feel like he was giving him a marching orders. However, at the same time if he wanted to run/walk/leap to central park he could. It made no difference to JaK really.
