Air Hockey Horrors!!! (Kristoff then Open)

"I can drain someone so that they're weak," and then a wild grin painted my face, "Or dead."

"Uh...wow!" Riley says while scooting down the bench a little bit. "Um.......wow...."

"Well, hopefully I don't ever get to experience that!" He says as he grabs the wrapper in his pocket and puts his used gum in it. He then replaces it with a new one. Sure, the other piece had some flavor yet, but Riley dreaded the taste of when it was spent...so...he didn't like to chance it.

"So, do you know if there's anything to really do around here?" Although Riley had lived in Jump his whole life, he was always either caring for his mom, going to school or working.

"Nope, I spend most of my time stealing, fighting, and providing for Akki and myself."

"Ugh!" Figures! Riley thought. All there was to do in this stupid town was to fight crime or commit crimes. "Well, do you skateboard or anything?"

"Tried it once, fell off, got mad, smashed the board into some kids head." I smiled slightly, remembering the day.

"Ya, that seems about right," Riley laughed. However, he did want to see it in action a little bit...

"Well, how old are you anyway? Still going to school?"

"I'm 16, and I dropped out, they didn't like how I stole my school lunches, telling me to sign up for the free lunch program. Heh, yeah, I'd rather be shot then deal with that embarrassment."

Riley chuckled. "Ha, you're kinda crazy, huh Kris?"

Riley hadn't spotted it before, but Kris definitely looked like the High School Dropout type. "Well, I'm going back to my Senior year this fall. My parents left us some money for lunch..."

Riley really hoped he didn't hit a nerve but, he thought he should explain that little bit. Hopefully Kris would pay no mind to it...

I twitched, "WELL Whoopdee ****ing doo for you!"

Riley was taken back for a moment but acted like he wasn't phased, "Ah, sorry..." He quickly skimmed the excesses of his brain to find an easy conversation change.

"Uh, so, favorite movie?"

"Read my shirt numbskull," I said, I was annoyed by him because he had money.

"Right, haha," he laughed coldly. Maybe people skills wasn't Riley's best strength but, at least he didn't like to be so cold to people. Ah, well...back to the lighter things in life?

It was quiet for a minute before Riley began talking again. "Well, you ever been inside the Titan's Tower? I wonder if there'd be anything nice to loot."

I chuckled, "I thought you were a Hero, maybe I'm a bad influence on you."

"Maybe I need a bad influence in my life." Riley smiled. Sure he wasn't serious about stealing anything from the Titans! That would be stupid and probably, ultimately pointless. He did, however think it'd be a good idea to cheer Kris up a bit.

"The world isn't divided up in Heroes, Villains and Neutrals," he began, "I believe there are many, many different shades of gray."

"Neutral is the gray," I said, fidgeting with my thumbs.
