A tragic but adorable encounter [Pika and maybe Kyte/Invite]

Coco was once again at one of her favorite places in the entire world- due much in part to how little of the world she had actually seen. An issue that was ironically not caused by her eye... or eyes. It was more due to the watchful watch of those who had taken to looking out for her and trying to teach her how to be more of a member of society among many many other things. It was not an easy task, as she had little idea what anything she wasn't supposed to shove in her mouth was- nor did she really care to learn. But if she learned new things, she got more food... so it was a sacrifice she had to make! So she was once again at Sconehenge, a place that seemed to never run out of food, which as far as she was concerned was the only place she needed to be if not for a different kind of gnawing emptiness she later learned to associate with not seeing Gluttony, Wrath or Bow for long periods of time.

Coco had learned many things, and had also started becoming less overtly wild and unruly. She started to also really develope a liking to "television" and it was one of very few times she could stay still long enough without food being involved. Speaking of, she was not to eat people... she wasn't sure why; some smelled or looked good enough to eat to her. Eating people killed two birds with one stone too by eliminating one more person that could eat something she could herself eat! Also pets (though never having come up yet) was also explicitly forbidden. Coco had also started to slowly learn a word here or there, understanding more of them than speaking them but had made the effort for specific kinds of food- pizza for example. Clothes were still an odd concept she didn't completely understand either, some of the clothes she was forced to wear didn't strike her as being able to keep her warm if it was cold or vice versa- nothing beat being able to physically adapt!

Overall though, Coco was taking to things faster than initially expected. But her hunger never went away, and it seemed like she started to eat more than normal. Almost as if though she didn't show signs of it, she was growing and was just using her limited shapeshifting ability to... maintain a smaller form to lessen her actual need for food. But that would not be an issue here, and she got to enjoy it with some new friends in the form of the mysterious creatures of air and nothingess- Steves. There was also that one green haired lady besides Cain she liked the shape of, and that one who slept all the time in Cain's lap whenever she was here. Though to be fair, her always being asleep didn't leave much room for Coco to grow to dislike her... considered eating her if not for how that'd upset Cain and by extension Gluttony. So for now, Coco was content to eat pastries or whatever she was given- ignoring the Smol Steves playing in her wild floofy mane of hair. If only the sun wasn't up... it still annoyed her eyestalks.

While Coco was laying about and eating pastries two figures would enter Sconehenge; an older gentleman in a suit with his hair tied into a ponytail and a young girl with short dark hair wearing a black hoodie and a white top underneath. The man in the suit seemed to be confused about something "So why exactly do people go to these establishments just to be served by women in 'maid costumes'?" he said 'maid costumes' as if those words were completely foreign to him "From what I understand of your teachings, couldn't they just use this 'internet' to look at women in these costumes?" The girl would laugh derisively at his question "Well yeah, but it's not the same as seeing them in person. But we're not here for the maids, so keep your eyes on the prize."

It wouldn't take long for the girl to find the 'prize' she was looking for, after all Coco didn't exactly blend in. Before the old man could even try and advise caution the girl would skip over to the creature, though she wouldn't get too close "Hey there! I'm Soleil!" the girl would say, a gleam in her eyes as she looked the creature over. The old man would stay close, ready to leap to action at a moments notice if he had to.

To be fair, Coco managed to blend in better during the day than she did when the infernally bright sun wasn't up- but yes, the cyclopean eye made her stick out like a sore thumb... also she normally didn't have Smol Steves messing about in her hair. Her blending in was due to the lack of eye stalks, for the aforementioned brightness of the sun which burned like hell. Coco was in the middle of cleaning her plate for what was at least the eleventh time- but who was counting? She was so enthralled by shoveling in more pastires, she almost didn't acknowledge someone was talking to her until an eye blinked open and peeked out from her hair at Soleil. Then Coco finally looked, sparing the plate the same fate as the tasty treats... even though she had the impression she wasn't supposed to eat the tasty smelling and tasting plate.

Sniff sniff... Coco smelled the air around Soleil and immediately got a faint... familiar scent. Familiar in the sense that Gluttony had the same kind of "familiar" smell for reasons she wasn't aware of. "Co...co," she monotoned with slight difficulty, apparently speaking was not her strong suit right now.

Speaking of speaking not being a strong suit- the Smol Steves would poke their heads out of Coco's hair and wave excitedly at Soleil while an eye stalk or two watched her while hiding from the sunlight.

A portal of darkness that seemed to suck all of the light into it opened. It would have been light, and therefore less terrifying, but Coco would have been possibly maimed by something like that. Cain stepped out, humming lightly as the portal shut behind her. There were now... two Cains in the shop? But the simulacrum vanished moments after she came through the portal. She didn't like leaving Coco alone, even when this was the safest place for her. However, Chessa was always... somewhere. Everywhere? Everywhere. And she had to attend a meeting every now and then.

She slowly skated over to Coco as if on a plane of ice and smiled lightly to the new patrons. "Welcome! I see you're making friends with Coco." She smiled. She was aware of the connection Coco had to this woman already... but why say anything about it and spoil the surprise? "This is your first time here. Order whatever you want from the menu and it will be paid for automatically. And please don't tip. The servers are paid enough." She pecked Coco on the cheek and would give each smol Steve a portion of jelly beans before attending to the cafe where it was needed.

Soleil's eyes widened in wonder as Coco looked up at her with her single eye and started sniffing her, prompting the girl to sniff Coco back. She smelled of food. She would also take notice of the Smol Steves looking back at her, and while Steves were cute and more importantly shrouded in mystery they weren't what had piqued Soleil's interest for today so she would just give them a wave back before turning her attention back to Coco "Coco? Is that your name? ...can I pat you, Coco?"

While this was going on the owner of the restaurant would make her appearance by coming in through a portal, a pretty flashy way of making an appearance that would be wasted on young Soleil as she barely paid Cain any attention. The old man on the other hand would turn to Cain and give her a deep bow "Greetings. May I take a moment of your time? This creature, is it dangerous?" he would ask, bluntly. Depending on Cain's answer the man may have to take his Master and leave.

A Smol Steve with war paint on his mask and a cotton swab spear popped up, spooking the other Smol Steves to duck back into Coco's hair for more adorable shenanigans. She still smelled familiar, but Coco didn't know why- didn't look too filling if Coco was inclined but she hadn't been ever since finding a place of infinite food. Her male companion looked... like a big ol' lie! His smell vaguely reminded her of the little ones that liked to play around in her hair or give her treats... or try to get her to presumably eat small colored rectangles with strange symbols (numbers) on them- no those don't taste good either.

Coco was distracted by Cain for a moment, and seemed to have missed or not even understood the question in the first place. But she didn't say know or look in the slightest bit uncomfortable- if anything she liked affectioned based on how a couple of her hidden eyestalks followed after Cain happily.

Cain smiled lightly and would sip her Thai iced tea- wait, had that been there before?- calmly as the older man came and addressed her. She dipped her head in return when he bowed to her, and lightly giggled. "Coco? Dangerous? No, not unless you're food. Do you taste delicious?" She slightly poked him and then took a few steps, pacing comfortably in her abode. "No, she's being well-fed. But your master didn't come here to feed you to Coco. She doesn't seem all too interested in eating you anyways."

She would watch Coco and Soleil lightly. What was going to come of this event then?

Coco didn't really give Soleil's question any response, if she even understood English in the first place, but Soleil's inquisitive mind would not let such a thing hold her back! Soleil would slowly reach forward and place her palm on the top of Coco's head, feeling her dark hair in her fingers. Assuming that Coco didn't pull away or Fus-Ro-Dah her into a wall Soleil would then start mussing up Coco's hair, a huge grin on her face "Hehehehe..."

The old man would smile in relief as Cain confirmed that Coco wasn't dangerous, though Cain seemed to get the wrong idea about his reason for asking "Ah, it is not my own safety that I am concerned about." he said, briefly glancing at Soleil. What on earth was she doing? He refocused on Cain, not wanting to be rude "Forgive my rudeness, my name is Kojiro. The young lady's name is Soleil." He would then refocus on Soleil, watching closely just in case.
