The most wonderful time of the year! (HB)

As Beast Boy told Taz that it was time for them to go their separate ways the young speedster seemed to understand why Beast Boy had said that, giving the answer in a single word. Just as he said that DOMA vehicles arrived on the scene with impeccable timing and an officer came out to order them to stay where they are.

Beast Boy spoke quietly, his voice loud enough that only Taz would be able to hear him "I'll grab their attention. You run for it." If Taz hesitated or objected to Beast Boy's plan then the green-skinned hero would turn to him and give him a reassuring smile "Don't worry, I can get away on my own."

With that he would step forward and start to grow. His short 5 foot stature grew until he was over 3 metres tall, he grew scales all over his body and his teeth elongated and sharpened until he had a row of swords in his jaw. He took the form of the most famous and recognisable of all prehistoric creatures: the Tyrannosaurus Rex.

Tilting his head back he would let out a giant roar that could be heard from entire city blocks away. All eyes were on Beast Boy, who was now a Titan in more than just name. If there was any time for Taz to make a run for it it would be now.

As DOMA agents appeared, Taz's shoulders hunched worriedly, though he seemed to pull himself out of it to give them a scowl, growling slightly. As Beast Boy spoke up softly, the smaller boy blinked, looking up at him. Hearing his ally's suggestion, Taz's eyes widened, and he shook his head in clear rejection of that particular plan. "No!" He couldn't leave the green hero to face off against these mangebrains alone! As Beast Boy reassured him that he'd be ok, Taz looked up at him for a few seconds, then relaxed slightly. That said, though he gave a small nod in agreement, his brows were still furrowed in clear worry.  The halfling was certainly grateful that Beast Boy would seek to give him the first chance to get to safety, but he couldn't help but be concerned for the other boy.

As Beast Boy stepped forward, and grew, Taz watched with wide, awed eyes.  Granted, he would be the first to admit that his knowledge of the world outside of his home village was still somewhat limited, (even with his time with Ally having helped fill in some spots,) but even he recognized the creature that his ally, and perhaps friend, had transformed into. And it was awesome! Especially when the quite literal Titan released a mighty roar, which caused even Taz to jump in surprise.  Noticing that the DOMA agents were understandably distracted, the boy spared a second to shout a urgent wellwishing up at Beast Boy. "Be well, safe, please!" Then, he took his opportunity to make a run for it and tried to dash towards the same alleyway that he'd jumped 'Santa' from.

As Beast Boy captured the attention of pretty much everyone in a half mile radius by transforming into a T-rex and letting out an ear-splitting roar. The DOMA agents that had gathered all scrambled to deal with the situation that had unfolded, no one really paying any attention to Taz as he ran off after giving out one last bit of encouragement to his green friend before leaving. As he ran Beast Boy started to stomp around and make a lot of noise almost as if he was throwing a tantrum, only a million times more terrifying for those who had to deal with it.

He would do this for about a minute, which hopefully would be plenty of time for his tiny new friend to escape. As DOMA reinforcements arrived to deal with the prehistoric menace Beast Boy decided that now was the time for him to make his exit, running off in the opposite direction that Taz went before transforming into a simple house fly. Even though DOMA agents had come in droves to face off against Beast Boy there was no way for them to keep track of something so small, so Beast Boy was able to easily get away. Just to be safe though, he did not transform back until he had returned to the Titans base.

As Beast Boy did a absolutely brilliant job on distracting DOMA, Taz darted into the alley. Thanks to the Titan's efforts, Taz had plenty of opportunity to get away. And that was exactly what he did. Racing through the alleyways, the young halfling built up speed, and wind howled through the tight pathways as he rushed away from the scene.

Though he was tempted to continue his original plans before everything had went down, Taz decided that he'd had enough excitement for the day, and headed home. Besides, he needed to watch the news in a little bit and check on their recent escapade. Hopefully Beast Boy was safe... Slowing his gait as he approached the apartment building, the boy would come out of a alleyway at a much more normal rate, and went up to his home, ready to burrow under some covers and turn on the tv.
