The New Kid On the Shock (Open)

When a strange figure folks had started calling the Electric Blur had appeared in Jump a few days, they'd quickly gained a small, and perhaps somewhat strange, reputation for filching stall food, though a few reports on this very same blur protecting people against a few thugs indicated that they had not just a taste for hotdogs and burritos, but for protecting the innocent.

For the moment,though, the strange being was indulging the more mischievous of  their habits. A short blue blur, crackling with electricity, was racing down the street, causing people to shout and leap out the way. A stall keeper, humming as they turn away from their counter to make more of the food they were selling, was unfortunately too focused on the task to notice what was happening. They did , however, notice when the blur snatched a bundle of sandwich wraps. "What the...Hey!!! You..whatever...you are, you gotta pay..for...those."

Their outraged shout was already too late for the blur to hear, as it was already much further down the street.  Giving a sigh, they mutter under their breath as they turn back to their task.

Meanwhile, the blur continued their trip. Though much of the detail was lost within the speed blur, one could see a small, slender figure, running agilely, as they continued on their journey. Despite the shouts and mayhem from their appearance, they seemed to be paying mind to the surrounding citizens, for as they continued on their run they were careful to not hit anybody despite the great speed they were traveling under.

Ally would be leaving Sol's Bar and grill. It was great that Inferno had set up shop here! She actually didn't know at first that he had, and only found out through that recent incident with a Giant Skeleton and his friends. Since then she had meant to visit him and Daniella more often on her days off/breaks but always seemed to forget. Dressed in "casual" gym attire, she waved to Inferno as she left with her lunch in hand. She missed eating his food- her lunch almost made up for the fact he didn't let her have any "Firebrand." She didn't see what the big deal was. What did the time of day have to do with anything? It was the only brand of alcohol that actually had a kick and immediate effect on her! None of her clients would mind if she showed up alittle tipsy anyway- she'd share if she could resist drinking all of it at once.

Anyway, she still had some time before meeting up with her next client- she was a personal trainer incase you were beginning to wonder. That was part time though, she also actually worked at one of the local gyms close to where she lived. The tall, amazonian-like woman would than round a corner as she begun unwrapping her "ally-sized" burger. You wouldn't be able to guess that she was a personal trainer if she ate things like that casually. "Come to mama~" She purred taking a big bite when suddenly...

She'd feel a impact.

As the blur continued on their way a few seconds before this event, they tried to focus on the path ahead of them. However, this particular being was young, and curious, enough to be distracted, and so they were by a particularly  shiny and energetic sign of some sort of business. They turned their head, looking at it for a few seconds, then directed their attention back to the area in front of them. However, these few seconds of distraction were enough to cost them the way forward, and the apparent safety of the person they were fast approaching. She was a tall, powerful seeming woman, who seemed intent on enjoying a good meal herself.

The blur's steps staggered slightly, as if shocked (not to mention slightly panicked) by the 'sudden' appearance of a living obstacle. Then they leaned back and skidded against the ground in a attempt to rob themselves of the speed and momentum they'd built up. This worked, for the most part, and the blur quickly resolved itself into a more clear shape, but they weren't able to stop themselves from ramming into the woman with the  force of any youngster recklessly charging ahead. It was certainly hard enough to send themselves falling backwards onto the pavement with a slightly pained 'oof.'

And it was here that the Electric Blur was revealed for who he was. Before Ally sat a young boy, with a medium length, mane like,and quite spiky shock of blue hair crowning his head. He was rubbing his forehead somewhat ruefully,  and was clad in very plain, pale grey clothes that seemed somewhat dusty and grimy. He hadn't seemed to notice yet that the bundle of sandwich wraps in his other hand was now mashed into wrap salad from the impact and being used to cushion his hand from landing on the hard pavement. After rubbing at his forehead for a second, he turned his head to look back up at her. Though he certainly seemed sheepish and apologetic in his manner, he just might also seem a little tense, if she looked closely enough.

Ally had likewise gotten distracted with her meal, though to be fair her unique sense of smell hadn't quite picked up his scent- it didn't have time to. She flinched understandably, more out of surprise than anything else. Even without her freakish strength kicking in, she was still able to keep from falling over. She had also managed to save her burger! Which was the other main concern she had, the other was wondering what had crashed into her at high speed. So she looked down to see him down there as his scent finally started getting picke up. It wasn't overly familiar but it had an odd fragrance, different from the norm. "Opps, I'm sorry! I didn't see you there!" She apologized, assuming the fault was hers. Maybe she had imagined that he had hit her at incredible speed? Maybe?

She knelt down, still looming over him as she tried to see if he was alright. Since he landed on his butt he seemed fine apart from the ruined food. "Oh, did I ruin your lunch? Sorry about that," she apologized again sincerely, remembering she still had quite the large burger in her hand. Ally broke it in half and offered him a half with a smile.

Tazi blinked as she apologized, tilting his head slightly to the side. She was sorry, after he rammed into her? He gave a slight head shake, and raised his hand to point first at himself, then her, but as she knelt down, getting closer, his eyes widened and he schooched backwards a inch, the hand instead pointing at her warningly. She'd probably smell a small hint of ozone, and it almost seemed like his nails were a little sharper, and his ears a little pointer and fuzzier, than they were a second ago. And was that the faint crackle of electricity? However, her question and second apology caused him to blink.

The boy glanced down at his other hand, and his eyes widened again. As she broke apart her burger, he peered down at the mess that was going to be his lunch, and gave a disappointed pout and sigh. Glancing back up at the lady again, he gave a third blink and tilted his head to the side again at seeing she was offering half of her meal. He eyed her warily, and a hand carefully reached forward to take the gift. He first gave it a curious, and cautious, bite, then his eyes lit up happily. Tazi proceeded to eagerly dig in, what strange traits she might have seen having disappeared again.

He wasn't saying anything. Did he even understand her? Her eyes widened only slightly at the odd traits popping up, he smile widening only slightly. So that was why he smelled different. There was a vague 'familiarness' to it but she couldn't place her finger on it. She giggled as he dug into his half, returning to her own half. "Ally~" she said patting her chest. She tried speaking alittle in different languages. Being from Europe and part of a travelling circues meant she had picked up alittle of the local dialects. "Konichiwa?" She tried to prounounce, her younger sister spoke Japanese but she didn't know which language he understood. Unless he was just a mute, an option she had not thought of just yet.

As Tazi enjoyed his half of the burger, he glanced up at the generous stranger who'd shared her food with him. He didn't quite seem to know what to think of her. Tilting his head as she patted at her chest and spoke up, he perked up. Oh, she was introducing herself! He then gave a thoughtful hum, considering on wheither or not to return the favor.

As he did that, and finished his meal with a grin, she started speaking at him in various languages. He sat crosslegged and peered up at her curiously. As she finished with "Konichiwa," the boy tilted his head thoughtfully, then nodded. She must be trying to greet him as well!  Deciding, if hesitantly, to do introduce himself first, he spoke up, pointing at himself. "Tyazzti Okatzzcho."

Interestingly enough, lightning sparked in his mouth as he spoke his name, the crackling and popping sound smoothly adding onto the sound of his name, instead of distorting it like one would expect. After a pause, he hesitantly tried to greet her in his mom's language. "..Howd..."

Wait, no. That was wrong. Mom said that was just for 'Westerns', whatever those were. he gave it another try. "Hel...Hello?" Was that the right one? He gave a nod. Yep, it was. "Hello."

He was really hesitant to respond to her for some reason- oblivious to the fact she had atleast two feet of height over him. Plus while she wasn't burly or "muscle-builder" sized she did look like she could break someone if she put her mind to it. Not to mention that she hadn't really reacted when he crashed into her. Anyway- then he said what she only presumed was his name which made her squee happily. It sounded like Japanese- probably. She'd need to bug her sister to try and teach her some more later. And was that lightning? So he was a metahuman? Wait no- he still smelled different to one of those. Would it be weird if she tried to get closer and double check?

And then he spoke english, to which Ally quickly picked him up and hugged him. "OH so you do understand! I was starting to worry I'd have to get my sister to translate for me~" Ally remarked, ignoring the fact that this early her sister wouldn't even be awake. She didn't understand her sister's reclusive ways as she hugged Toji before setting him back down. "So Teeyazztee... Tayzee... um... Tazz! Where you from?" Ally tried to pronounce even part of his name and failing, so s e settled on a nickname. Did all Japanese people have hard to prounounce names? No, her sister's was easy- well her first name.

After saying hello, Tazi wiped at his face with the back of his sleeve to get rid of the remnants of the burger, then gave a quizzical headtilt as she gave a squee, seeming to react to him introducing himself. And then, she suddenly picked him up! The boy flailed slightly in surprise and panic, his fingers starting to spark and the odd characteristics from earlier coming back stronger, only to freeze as she gave him a hug. He seemed somewhat uncertain, as if he couldn't decide to relax into what was one of the few warm gestures he'd experienced since meeting those bad people, or try and squirm out, then the boy settled on relaxing, slightly, and gave her a hesitant pat on the arm back, nodding as she happily exclaimed that he could understand her.

Looking up at Ally as she sat him back down, he relaxed more once again, the strange transformation to his features fading away once again. His eyes widening slightly as she asked where he was from, the boy leaned back and gave a thoughtful hum, racking his brain. He had to admit, his grasp on English, or the where, let alone the whats and hows, of his home...place wasn't exactly firm enough to really explain it. So, how could he get it through to her? After a few seconds thought, he decided on keeping it simple. "I am from elsewhere." He paused, considering that, then added on with a nod, "Very, very far away."

Ally remained completely oblivious to his reactions to being hugged outside his physical reaction. He was some kind of shapeshifter, which for some reason reminded her of... something or other. It was annoying having the answer just out of reach. She tilted her head when he began to explain where he was from, which was very far away. "So does that actually mean Japan or is there someplace further than that?" She questioned curiously, her own knowledge of the world... lacking despite the education she got with her older sister's help. The whole thing had been boring and stuff anyway. He obviously couldn't have been from the north or south pole because... penguins and eskimos and stuff. Iceland maybe? Basing that off the odd shapeshifting. "So that means you have no home at the moment?" Ally asked, changing mental gears without a clutch.

At Ally's response, he tilted his head. Japan? Where'd she get that from...He gave a slightly frustrated huff and pout at realizing she hadn't quite understood. Dang it...maybe he should've known that was a little too simple of a explanation. He tapped a finger against the pavement, considering, then perked up. Maybe this'd help her! "Further. Very further." He slapped the pavement, as if to accentuate his next statement. "Not here. It's other place, Elsewhere."

Then she asked a question that caused his eyes to widen. Tazi looks up at her, seeming about to protest. He had a home, he did!! He just...he couldn't find it,not yet. Frowning, he draws his legs up and wraps his arms around them. Lower face hidden slightly by his knees, he then nodded yes to the woman's question. Ally was right, he supposed. The place he had been staying at was really just...a hiding spot.

Ally was further confused by his clarification. He came out of the ground? Or was he trying to indicate something on the complete opposite of where they were? Yes, Ally was taking it that simply. She'd frown sympathetically after he nodded in response to her asking if he didn't have a home currently, her expression brightening as she had an idea. And in typical fashion, it was also the simpliest. "Then you can stay with me!" Ally declared before once again picking him up. Whether or not this seemed strange to any passers-by remained to be seen. "I mean- it'd be easier than trying to find someplace with no money right?" She had tried that once, it was great for the time it lasted but eventually things started to get complicated with the different people she was staying with. More or less commitment stuff that she wasn't quite prepared for and so had to bother her sisters for a hand. She was still trying to pay her baby sister back, and had no idea how this debt kept increasing.

Tazi tilted his head and gave a quizzical hum as she suddenly brightened up. What was she happy about? As she made her suggestion, his eyes widen, and he looks at her a pinch warily, trying to see if there was any hint of...meanness. After what those bad people pulled...Though she did have a point about the no money thing, he concluded with a nod. Then she picks him up again. He tenses up for a second, but then relaxes and leans into the warm contact as he considered for a few seconds. It wasn't like she'd been even the slightest bit mean since they'd met, and it wasn't like he couldn't run if it turned out to be a trick like last time. Besides, it'd be nice to not be alone again. Looking up at her, he gave a nod and grateful, if a bit small, smile. "Ok."

Ally smiled and set him on her shoulders as if he weighed nothing- which was probably normally true without her strength. "Cool! Then off we go!" Ally declared heading off back toward home, she still had plenty of time to get to her next job- heck she could maybe reschedule if it came to that. They would soon arrive at one of the apartment buildings of Midtown. Ally would let him down before heading up, eventually leading him to her apartment. "Oh- right, sorry about the mess. I've been meaning to clean it for like, ever now" she admitted sheepishly. To be fair, it did look like she had attempted to clean it in places. But these attempts had all for one reason or another failed.

Ally tilted her head for a moment as if she was forgetting something. What WAS she forgetting? Must not have been very important either way. "Well, make yourself at home! Food is in the- OH right, that's what I was forgetting. Groceries," Ally started before her realization. She had quite the appetite by herself, and with her schedule she normally ate out more than she cooked at home. Well no one said this transition would have been smooth. Which then brought her to her next predicament, what to do about her key. It was starting to sound more like she should just reschedule. "Hmmm... I'm gonna have to call him back," Ally thought outloud as she called her client, and began the process of rescheduling...

Tazi blinked as Ally sat him on her shoulders, but perked up at the new perspective, as well as with childish glee at feeling much taller than he normally was. (Ha! Take that, cousin Calzzthei!! Who's tiny now?) As she walked on the way to her home, he supported himself by laying his arms on top of her head and leaning against them. Peeking over her and said limbs, he took the opportunity to curiously glance around and examine all the different shops and whatnot. As they approached the tall building that seemed to be their building, he gazed up at it with wide eyes. Did she live in a castle or something?

As Ally let him down and leaded him up to her stairs, he stuck a little close to her and glanced up at the various people and numbered doors. They were homes for people, maybe? His assumption proved to be correct when Ally eventually stopped before one and opened it. Following her in, the boy blinked and tilted his head at the mess spread out through the apartment. Glancing up at Ally as she apologized for the mess, he shook his head and gave her a small smile,though a little bigger than the one before. "It's ok, -..."

He paused, brows furrowing slightly in though. What were you were supposed to call a nice lady again? Mist? No..Mix? Nooo-oh! That's right! Smile becoming a bit sheepish, the boy continued. "It's ok,Miss Ally." Even if it was a little messy, it also seemed comfy, and was definitely much better than the place he'd been hiding at.

Perking up at the mention of food, he then blinked as Ally seemed to realize that she had forgotten to get food. As she took out some some sort of device, Tazi was enjoying the view of the city through a nearby window. As she spoke up, seeming to think outloud, he tilted his head curiously. Call? What did she mean? Though slightly hesitantly, not wanting to seem rude to the person who'd been so kind to him, curiosity drove him to ask, "Call? Who,Miss Ally?"
