(R)Evolve (Bloo)

Kuro breathed a little heavily in the weight room, looking at the weights he had been lifting. Drinking exorbitant amounts of coffee when he thought his teammates weren't looking, trying to keep himself up with caffeine and adrenaline...he was very resistant, and would probably last longer than anyone else would expect, but it was killing him.

He couldn't stop thinking about the reflection. The version of himself that wanted to take over...for what purpose? No, no...he remembered. He looked out the window of the gym at his raven-haired companion as she happened to pass by.

Suzuki.

He seemed to get an impulse, not sure what it was, but he suppressed it. In any case, she was going to need protecting, in case he failed. He went to his room and quickly got a katana before tracking down Suzuki. His mask was on, but she usually saw his eyes. And boy...he was looking more tired than Yang already.

"Suzuki-chan. Follow me." He then started walking for the training room.

Kuro waited for her in the danger room with his full attire on, and kept the katana at his side. To be completely honest with himself he felt like he might go to sleep. Some adrenaline ought to help with that. Suzuki asked him if he was challenging her to a spar with blades. "No," he said, a bit of a dark edge to his voice. "I want to see what you're capable of. Use every one of your abilities you need to. Don't pull your attacks."

He drew the katana with a wicked ringing on the blade. He might honestly die from this sparring match. But if he did, all the better. He was afraid of what might happen if he was indeed taken over. And if she were all the safer with him down for the count, then he was happy.

OOC: Note this isn't the HF-blade. Just a normal katana. Kuro knows that his HF-blades could damage her sword.

BIC: Kuro looked at Suzuki as she said that she didn't think it was a good idea. He spoke calmly. "Do you think me incapable?"

He would dart forward with that impressive, but human speed of his, keeping low as he swept the sword up towards her. "Simulation 0250 Chiburi." As he confronted her, the scene would change from the danger room to that of an endless city with rooftops for them to fight on. The streets below them were empty, and the entire space was eerily unoccupied. Nothing but blue sky above them, as well.

Kuro had a few milliseconds to be surprised. His electric powers were acting up, but his eyes had remained strong. ...or not, considering how tired he was. Nevertheless, it was a good tactic. He saw the blade coming, as they were both moving in slow motion, and started tilting his blade down, bringing his arm up to the back of it to block the blow soundly. He made sure to block her blade with the side of his, showing true consideration for the blade. He would then slide the blade down further, trying to catch her sword with the hilt of his katana to drive it down. At best he would disarm her but all he needed to do was plunge it into the ground.

In the meantime, using his blade as an anchor, he would lash one foot out in a straight kick to her stomach, aiming to at least wind her with the blow as he tried making her blade useless for the moment.

Kuro's foot wasn't exactly unprotected. He was wearing his standard boots for ops, of course. Though yes, kicking the equivalent of a brick wall was certainly unfavorable, it wouldn't injure his foot. He saw the shuriken coming, but it was a little close range for him. He quickly turned, bringing his shoulder out of the way as it gouged a slice out of his mask, cracking it. In the same fluid motion, he kept moving, turning over as he flipped onto his blade that was embedded in the ground. He looped a cable around the handle as he landed on it, leaving enough time for Suzuki to make another attack, and then quickly sprang off of it, letting the cable extend as he jumped, trying to get in through the top of Suzuki's ribcage.

Whatever happened, once he was over the top rib he would retract the cable, bringing it out of the ground and over the ribcage with him in enough time to grab it underhand, ideally coming down onto Suzuki from the top of her barriers.

She admittedly caught him. He wasn't able to do anything in the air like that. However, he could adjust, and he planted his sword in the ground again, landing upright. He observed her for a moment. He couldn't help but feel pride for his peer. She was astute in combat. He pulled his blade free of the earth again, flicking it to get rid of the debris as he took some slow steps toward her. He then suddenly darted forward and loosed a cable again, and threw it right for her, on a course to go right through the ribs.

He was actually hoping that she would dodge, so that he could begin trying to restrain her.

When his cable was caught, it certainly put him in a rough spot. He was going to try and restrain her with it, but now it was just stuck there. He wondered if the suit of armor was a living being. She had already convinced him that she would be able to defend herself without him there. But perhaps he should keep testing her. This was going to hurt.

Only an instant after the armor had formed, Kuro glowed. It put some strain on his body, which he would probably regret later on in the spar, but he forced an electric current through the cable. The object of his experiment: Could the Susano'o be shocked?

All the while Kuro was continuing to run, slightly off to the side of Suzuki as he continued giving the cable enough slack to expand as he maintained distance.

His gaze slightly narrowed. He hadn't expected her to try and melt the cable. The flames crawled towards him along their connection. Kuro would cut them, but he didn't have his HF-blades, and while they were resistent to things such as heat and other blades, it would melt it very soon. By that time, he had looped around almost completely, and decided while the cable still had any tensile strength, he would try to tug Susano'o over. He leapt off the edge of the building, pulling the cable taut and turning on the motor to start tugging. Perhaps his speed and the sudden pull would be enough. Either way his cable only had a few long seconds, so whether he pulled Susano'o off with him or not, he crashed into a window, rolling to a stop. He then cut that motor off of his belt quickly, and launched out another to pull himself up onto the adjacent building.
