The troops were getting anxious. Varix couldn't blame them, he was itching to get this done and over with before their presence drew any more unwanted attention. It was one thing to send them into enemy territory to fight, but it was another matter to send them into enemy territory and force them to wait.
On the plus side, their preparations with the missle launching system was going smoothly. "Commander, two hostiles spotted," T'ael reported in via communicator. Since she and her team were out further then the rest of them, they couldn't have been more then a few minutes away. But where were the others?
"Up and at em," Varix commanded to the troops via communicator. It was time. "I want a perimeter around the missles. Coverts, engage any enemy on the edge of the perimeter. Elects, back them up," Varix added, leaping to another tree to get into better position.
