On the ride home, Ray sat in the back of the boat, bundled up in what was left of her jump suit. It was getting chilly, but she wasn't going to complain, he just saved her from years in prison, and he asked nothing in return. He might have the bad guy act, but he was a sweet heart underneath.

A hour later Ray had on a large black trench coat. She had to cover up so she didn't look to suspicious, even if trench coat was shady. She had enough time on the boat to dry out her wings, that was good. Currently, Ray was in a rut. She wanted to be the best hero there was and now she was stuck with a price on her head. As they entered the house he told her his real name then told her where to sleep. He got comfortable so Ray saw no reason to argue. She walked over to him, kissed him on the cheek, then walked off to the back room.
Ray opened the window and shot out quickly, coming back seconds later with a bag that had Ray's basic belongings, the only stuff she had in her crummy apartment. Seconds later she took off the crmmy jumpsuit and crawled into Kuro's bed, falling asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow.
