Recognition (Emmi-Emmz)

Tim was wandering the park his hands in his pockets. He had yet to get a job this week and was out looking for someone in need. He had his trench-coat on and his sunglasses on as he scanned the park. His eyes suddenly fell on someone familiar but he couldn't place her. Tim walked over to Annie before she'd had a chance to set up for the day. His face was still the same as when they'd met the last time.

"Hey why do I remember you?" He was only a couple feet away from her now. Tim looked her over curiously he knew she was from his past but most of it was a blur.

Annie turned around to Tim and looked surprised "oh...its you...so you survived it seems, that's good" she said happily, she didn't realize he had lost his memory from that day, she was just glad to see that he was alive.

Tim reached in his coat and pulled out a pistol. "Survived? Well then I guess I know now why I can't remember anything. Were you involved in my alterations?" He had the pistol pointed over her shoulder not having decided whether or not he would shoot yet. He strode toward her confidently.

Annie gasped and looked scared "I-I didn't mean to sound like I'm the one who hurt you! I was the night guard at the museum! then this girl tried stealing a diamond and this other guy came and there was a fight and-and you ended up getting buried under the museum while the rest of us escaped!" she said in a blind panic.

Tim nodded and put this pistol away saying seriously. "Yeah that sounds reasonable. Sorry about that I'm just a bit paranoid." He was standing just a little from her and looked around asking. "So, umm I'm Tim. It's nice to meet someone from my past who's not trying to kill me."

Annie chuckled softly "you can call me Annie...would you like to hear me play?" she asked curiously as she got back to setting up her equipment.

Tim smiled and helped her set up saying "Sure, I'm kinda involved in a theater, I may be able to get you a slot to play there." He made sure to get everything just right since he was helping someone he'd just threatened by mistake.

Annie looked surprised and excited "really?! Oh that would be wonderful!" she said happily as she finished setting everything up then sat on the piano chair and began practicing her song.

Tim listened for a few minutes before he held up a finger and left. He came back a few minutes later still holding roses and set them down where tips were left. He listened intently as she played enjoying the song.

Annie looked to Tim and smiled softly at him as she continued playing, glad that she had met Tim again, he seemed really nice.

Tim waited until she was finished and clapped for her asking. "You hungry, I can run out and get some food for you while you play." he walked over to her giving her a friendly smile.

Annie nodded happily "that would be wonderful thank you, I'm not picky so I'll have whatever you can find" she said softly.

Tim smiled and left again he was gone for a few minutes again and came back with a couple subs with roasted chicken. He offered one to Annie and sat down in the grass by the tree she was playing under.

Annie took the sub and ate it happily "mmm thank you" she said as she ate, glad that Tim was with her.

Tim glanced over at her and smiled back. Something in the back of his head told him he didn't have much longer. He needed to find someone to leave his things to.
