The Arrival (open)

Terra cringed, trying to contain a year of pressure and unspent geomantic energy. The tremors subsided, the ground died down. Then she saw the sight of something purple and sorcerous closing in fast. Her brain read it as Raven, and a surge of other supressed emotions rise. Spikes of stone shot out toward Rebecca, needle-sharp and blurry fast.

"No, stop. Don't attack people." Terra's words did nought to supress the mystic fury of her earth-based aggression.

Another quake grew, larger than the last, cracking the street. Thankfully it was localised.

Rain walked toward what seemed to be the eye of the destruction. The building roof tops made it easier to see, and less time to get there. Finally she was close enough to see a girl. "Great, another psyco with their powers. It's bad enough with Zack!" She used her shield(invisibility) to sneak up behind Terra. She disconnected her cells, and passed into Terra's body. "Hush," she soothed in the that voice, authority and calm ringing through it. "No need for so much damage. Be calm now."

For her good intentions, sneaking up invisibly behind the now out of control Terra did her little good either. She jumped out of her skin and fell over. Her powers, acting predominantly out of preservation, rose Terra up on a huge pillar of earth. Unable to master it fully, the thing toppled, crushing several cars as it dropped. Thankfully the occupants had long since started running from the disaster prone girl as she hit the hood of one car, bounced, and rolled onto the sidewalk, very still.

No sooner was she unconscious on the ground than the tremors stopped, leaving a chorus of car alarms, police sirens, and screams.

"Uuughhh...."

Ok, gotta work on controling the actions, too, Rain thought. "OK, I'm going to leave you. Do you think you're going to be fine? Can you keep control?" she asked.

Not getting an answer, Rain left Terra's body. She gained back her own figure and knelt down. "Good, she's breathing," she mumbled.

Rain sat down next to Terra. She wasn't sure what to do. Going back into her head probably wouldn't help... "Wake up," she said, slightly shaking Terra's shoulder.

Rebecca had done a good job diverting or destroying the needles, all except one which she had missed. The spike slammed into her shoulder with a loud and painful sounding crunch. The steady feel of crimson dripping from the gaping puncture did nothing to calm her, in fact it hurt with such intensity that if she wasn't slowly regenerating, she would have passed out and this in itself left her feeling very irritated. "Goddammit." She cursed softly as she gripped the spike she bit her tongue softly and with the sickening sound of sucking flesh and blood resounding around her, she pulled the two inch long chunk of rock from her shoulder and nearly screamed in the process.

She growled, not with irritation at this point but anger. That chunk of rock hurt a lot, enough to actually cause her emotional wall to crack slightly, and this did not please her. She looked at everyone her arm hung limply at her side, as she shuffled towards Terra and Rain. She did not smile and she didn't have a look of anger on her face, it was as blank as stone well with the exception of perhaps if you looked at her eyes but reading those oddly archaic orbs of hers, would be next to impossible.

"I can only assume that girl. Is a meta-human, and the one responsible for both the tremors and.... this." She said pointing at the gaping hole which had by then stopped bleeding. It would take awhile for it to close up completely, so anyone staring at the wound would get a good look at the muscle and bone under her flesh. In all regards she was lucky and in all regards, she wasn't angry as well. It was just an injury, nothing more and nothing less.

"I would guess... She looks so familiar; and that name! Terra... Terra..." Light bulb. "Oh... Oh," she looked down at the unconscious girl, then up at Rebecca. "You alright?"

Isaiah ran over to Tara, who laid on the ground groaning. He shot a glare at the girl next to Tara with a growl. He looked at the other newcomer that had been helping to thwart the stone and concrete onslaught. This wasn't helping, he glanced around, Jay didn't seem to be anywhere in sight.

He heard the sirens approaching. He picked up Tara slowly, "I gotcha..." He looked at the two new comers, "we better get outta here, I can take her," he wasn't sure what he would do, but getting Tara out of dodge before they were swarmed by reporters taking pictures was the first thing on his mind.

Rain just smiled at Isaiah's glare. She got up. "Come on, We'll get her to the Titans Tower."

Jay popped up from behind a car, "Uh, are you sure that's a good idea? Just me knowing her name seemed to really-"Jay looked around at the scene, searching for the right word,"uh, freak her out?" jay decided that's how she would put it.
"Can you imagine what she could and would do to the tower? Especially seeing how its surrounded by water and its in a T shape, not very stable." Jay looked at the pillar of rock that had smashed to the ground and could very easily picture it in the shape of the tower.
"Maybe a slow reintroduction type thing might be a better idea?"

Rain nodded. "I suppose. Then where?"

"Uhm, well, honestly I have no idea." Jay cocked her head. The police would probably be here soon. better to get her out of here now, think later. "Let's just get going and think as we go." Jay decided.
She spread her wings and took to the skies leading the way towards the tower, away, from the direction the police where coming from.
"Hurry up you guys!" Jay called down.

Rain nodded. As Jay flew off, she turned to man carrying Terra.

"You got her?"

Terra stirred. The distant sound of sirens and screams echoed into her dreams. She saw lava, and the shadow of a great villain. Terror, despair, fear. Then there was the slamming headache where she'd knocked her head. In her nightmare she was chased, her escape impeded by the furious tremors beneath her feet.

"Uhh..."

That unstoppable nightmarish shadow continued to hound her flight, chasing her through destroyed streets and burning buildings. She turned into alleyways, through Titan's Tower, down a diamond mine, then a fair ground. No matter where she ran, or how fast, the tremors would catch her, and she would fall, and that unthinkable nightmare would gain ground.

In the real world, the police and fire trucks were getting much closer. People were looking out of buildings too, and bystanders were getting bolder, and more adventurous.

Whatever their plan, the coalition of unfamiliar heroes needed to act upon it fast.

Rain finally made the decission.

"We're taking her to the Tower. Follow me."

She led the group quickly threw the streets towards the huge T off in the distance which got close with every turn.

Rebecca followed as quick as can be, using the wind to propel her forward. "This might not be such a good idea. I mean did you see the way she attacked me, unlike the others? There was some clear anger fueling that attack." The wound had stopped bleeding, but even still there was still a nice big hole in her shoulder. That would take a day or two to fully heal up. "I don't know what was up with that, but I'm a bit concerned." She still had that monotone dialect but even still, you could sniff out the worry in her voice under all that calm. She was extremely worried not for the others but, rather herself. That attack was not meant to disable, it was in her best guess, meant to kill her.

"I don't know what will happen if she wakes up. I'm sort of worried her powers might act up again and well, you saw what nearly happened to me." In short, she was nearly turned into a pincushion. Not really Rebecca's idea of fun mind you. It was in her thoughts, that this girl needed to let her powers out bit by bit. A sort of bleed if you will, to lessen whatever pressure was building up on her and make her powers less. Dangerous for everyone around her, including herself. "I think she needs to bleed off her powers a bit. Now I'm not saying that's the cause, but she seems a bit.... stressed."

Rebecca still had a duty to uphold and right now she was pretty much saying this girl needed to be taken someplace with no human population, and just let her powers out bit by bit, with no risk of harming anyone. It was the simplest solution she could think of. Might not be the best one, but it was better then nothing.
