Held Hostage (Thr33, foalfire, and Kyte)

City Hall was busy today. Nobody was aware of what was about to happen. In a small room on the side of the building, Shivering Jemmy, along with Kyte Uchiha and a strange man named Gargle.

Jemmy was already tied up. They had to make it convincing, so the ropes around her were really tight. They certainly weren't comfortable, but she really couldn't complain. It was her plan, after all. Her balloon string was tied to her as well, just to make sure it stayed near her.

Well, now all they needed was to make a scene. Jemmy looked at Kyte and smiled. "Well, it's time for you to get their attention. I don't really care what you do, just get the Titans to come here."

Jemmy's slave, known only as Gargle, waved his hands emphatically in the air. "Hgr!" He said. Perhaps it was the metal mask that covered his face, or just a damaged voice box, but Gargle was unable to speak in any normal way.

Jemmy frowned at Gargle. "No. Akunin's in charge of this mission, so you're going to do whatever he says, alright?"

Gargle nodded and looked to Kyte for instruction.

In City Hall, Kyte opened the guitar case, pulling Noctis out of it, putting it through the holster on its back, and then withdrawing Tenebrae and Lux, before retrieving twelve cartridges of ammo. Taking apart his guns quickly and cleaning them to keep up maintenance, he listened to Jemmy as she told him it was time to get their attention, and she didn't care how he did so, as long as he got the Titans to come running. Lux, the only gun still being put back together, clicked shut, as he looked down the sights. Jemmy, if they don't come running, the government will shut them out of business, not to mention all of their mentors up in the Justice League.

Holstering both of the handguns, Kyte began to notice Gargle was waving his arms around quite excitedly, and, as his nickname foretold, yet again speaking utterly incomprehensible gibberish. Or at least that's what Kyte thought it was, for Jemmy seemed to understand Gargle perfectly fine, telling him that Kyte was in charge of the operation and that he needed to follow whatever orders Kyte gave him. Gargle seemed to cave in quite easily. So he really is one of her toys...

Jemmy, just remember that you did volunteer to be the hostage. So, as the hostage, I'm not going to be treating you like something I care about. I might have to toss you around a bit and possibly hit you a few times. Of course, you already knew that...I'm just reminding you not to get upset with me later. Kyte looked to Gargle. Alright. We go now. You pick up Jemmy, I've gotta shoot people.

When Gargle was ready, Kyte kicked open the steel door, which drew attention to their little party, and then drew Tenebrae and Lux, firing into the air a few times. As soon as the security team drew their weapons, they were downed by shots from Kyte, along with three civilians. Kyte shot two more people in the back of the knees as they tried to escape, letting the rest of the people leave, except for the people at the reception desks. He had to make it look like they were here for something; otherwise having a hostage would be skeptical. You! At the counter! You listen good, I want the private information of everyone in the upper class of this city! Bank account numbers, credit card information, everything! The man seemed almost defiant at first, but a few well placed shots that intently missed by a few hairs seemed to change his mind.

Kyte took Jemmy from Gargle, nodding to him in thanks, before setting her on the ground in front of him, facing towards the front doors. If you don't do it fast enough, I am going to kill the F**K out of this kid.

Kyte sported an insane grin.

The kind of grin that relayed he'd kill you because he liked your tie.

Jay's communicator buzzed at her hip and she slowed her flight as she reached back and grabbed it off her belt. "Well, what do we have going on today? She asked, looked at the screen. It showed a red bleeping dot over where the City Hall building was and she nodded. She hadn't been busy so the crime would definitely be something for her to help handle. She felt the sensation of a breeze creeping through each feather on her wings as they changed into those of an eagle. allowing her faster flight. She then sped off to the bank.

When she landed her feathers changed into silver, almost metallic looking and feeling. She wanted to be ready. She was already wearing the jacket Zack had given her a while ago that was bullet proof, but having a pair of almost bullet proof wings helped her feel that much calmer when she went into a dangerous situation. She landed outside of the door and went over to the chief of police that had already shown up to get what info he had.

"So, they're armed, have hostages, and are insane.... perfect." She sighed as she thought about what she would do next. She put out a quick call to see if any one was in the area to help her out with this mess then flew up to the roof where she carefully slipped into one of the roof top windows and silently glided to the rafters where she sat and looked around at what was happening. If she was careful, she could sneak around the criminal and take him by surprise and end this fight quickly, or take the hostages out one by one to safety till he had none and then take him out.
Man its dusty u- oh crap. Jay felt the inside of her nose itch and she quickly pinched it shut, but the feeling stayed. She tried to rub it away, but it only made it worse until "ACHOOOO!!!!" The sound echoed around the building and she tried to lay flat on one of the wide rafters to hide from any one's sight. But it was obvious she would be found now. Well, plan A is out.

"That'll be four bucks," said a burly hotdog vendor to a slightly tall blonde haired teen.

Just like on most Thug Thursdays, Scope, in his casuals, had once again hit the town, catching flicks, buying hotdogs, y'know, just livin' life. Even after becoming a Titan, he still tried to live a calm, stress-free life between the giant monsters and near end-of-the-world events. Riley opened his mouth wide and crammed the dog inside, but, suddenly, his communicator began to vibrate frantically.

"Figures," he muttered.

The dog fell to the ground with a squish as Scope dashed away and down an alleyway, abandoning the calm of regular life...of the citizens meandering down the streets in happy, stupid ignorance. It was his job keep them that way. He threw aside the trench coat revealing the red Titan armor underneath...the suit that had always been there. He just needed a little motivation to reveal it...

He jumped onto his hoverboard and, with one last touch, he slid on his shades and followed his communicator's directions towards the distress signal. Once arriving onto the scene, the mood of the city completely changed. Outside City Hall dozens of police officers and a few injured politicians were scrambling up and down the sidewalks between police cruisers and ambulances. Utter chaos...pure fear everywhere...and yet...somehow...Scope felt more comfortable than ever. He walked up to the police chief and took a commanding stance.

"Okay chief. What's the situation?" He asked assertively and confidently.

"Mkay kid, I'm guessin' yer anothah Titan, then?" The chief began, furling his mustache. "Nkay, we got hostage situation. Near twenty civilians and workers, we're thinkin', and one Titan so far. Looks like the guy in charge is armed with some firearm and has a burly one helpin' him out. Now, we're workin' on findin' a way in without alertin' the criminals, but, looks like they're only allowin' you kids to come in. Looks like it's all on you from here..."

Nodding quickly, he checked his belt quickly to make sure he was well armed, then he used his board to fly to the roof and in through an open window. Quickly latching his hoverboard onto his back, he got low to the ground and peered around the corner of the hallway into the main chamber. What he saw completely shocked him...KYTE! Kyte Uchiha was behind all of this!? Any sense of confidence that he had stemmed from the thought that this was a regular hostage situation but no, not in Jump City! A normal hostage situation was Just. Too. Bland.

Breathing heavily, slamming his eyes shut, Scope's heart started racing. How could anyone kill Kyte!? Wasn't it impossible!? This was it...he had survived much more than he expected but...this was ridiculous!? Once again...once again, he repeated to himself...To face one's mortality was to be realistic...it was the only way to survive. Was he a coward? Maybe...but, he'd be a breathing coward...all they'd need to do is sneak around Kyte, maybe distract him somehow, and sneak all of the citizens out, then he needed to figure out which of the Titans was already here.

Suddenly, while planning desperately, a sneeze loudly echoed from towards the rafters. "Nice Jay..." Scope muttered. He prepared himself to try and stop Kyte if he went for Jay. He breathed heavily behind the corner. Now was his chance to leave his mark...to impact the city...to be a Titan.

A sneeze rang out from above. For a moment, Gargle did nothing. He looked at Kyte and tilted his head. Then he realized that neither Kyte nor Jemmy had been the one to sneeze. None of the hostages had sneezed, either. It was someone else!

Gargle looked up and caught site of Jay. After letting out a quick "Hhhhgrrrr!" he ran towards a pillar. Some thing strange happened next. As he neared the pillar, Gargle's forearms turned into chainsaws. Jemmy's contract had given the speech challenged man this power in exchange for his free will.

Stabbing one chainsaw arm into the wall, Gargle lifted himself up and stabbed his other arm in higher up. He proceeded to climb the wall in this manner, accompanied with guttural sounds and astonishing speed. It would only take him a minute to climb all the way up to where the winged girl waited above. Then he would cut her up. "Hhhhgrrr!"

Jemmy watched as the events unfolded. She remembered to act terrified and confused when Gargle used his power. Right now she wasn't Jemmy, she was just another innocent hostage. That's what the Titans should be made to believe. She felt like smiling, but that would give it all away. Who knew it was so hard not to smile?

Kyte heard with his enhanced senses someone fly into the room. He looked up at the rafters, smirking, before also hearing someone down the hall congratulating Jay sarcastically. Kyte recognized the voice belonging to the Titan known as Scope.

Wow. How ridiculously lucky for us. We go into this mission expecting to kill Jay and Scope, and now, here they are. But, nothing's ever that easy...

He assumed it was the other person in the room with them. All of a sudden, the girl sneezed up in the rafters, and Gargle, after a moment's hesitation, rampaged towards the pillars, his arms turning into...chainsaws?

Kyte, blinking, held the gun against Jemmy's head. Alright, girl, get down from the rafters before I paint the floors a new color with all of these people's brains. You too, Scope. Come out from the hallway. If you two make any wrong moves, this girl and another person's lives end. Eenie, meenie, minie... he pointed Tenebrae at a random person behind a counter. I choose you, mediocre employee.

The man began whimpering. Please, please, I don't want to die! I've got a wife at home!

Shut yer yap or I'll blow it off. The man became silent once again. So, like I said, come out quietly, or it gets loud.

Jay mentally smacked herself in the back of her head. How could she have sneezed and given away her position like that! Of all the luck she had. But didn't the villain below also say there was another titan down there? Scope? How did he know he was in the hall?

The feather girl didn't have time to think it over, right as the meta with chainsaw hands got to the top of the rafters, Jay flew out of the rafters and thrust her wing forward and metallic looking feathers shot forward and at Kyte's hand in an attempt to knock the gun from his hand. She then landed between Kyte and the panicked civilian. "So, what is it? The staff gave you some terrible customer service or something? Or are you just trying to make some kind of political point?" Jay asked, ready at any minute to fight or fly away, to go offensive or defensive in a moment.

Before he knew it, Kyte called him out. Scope clenched his eyes shut and bit his lower lip for a moment before walking around the corner, looking defeated but mostly annoyed. He began to walk forward with his board latched securely to his back. Maybe they could rely on diplomacy over action although he doubted it after realizing that Kyte's oafish buddy had the ability to change his arms into chainsaws...no...maybe he was a diplomatic fellow on the inside.

As Jay seemed to be chased out of her own hidey-hole, she chose to go with another tactic. Scope stood, shocked and stunned for a moment as the feather flew straight at Kyte's gun. "Nice aim..." he muttered quickly.

Amazing! Jay just flew up Scope's own swagometer with that one! If there was one adversary that Scope was intimidated by, it was Kyte, and for Jay to just take him head on, and especially with other's lives at stake...well...she was either really confident, really brave or...really stupid. Nevertheless, the route was decided!

Scope skimmed his belt quickly. Frag it up? No...too many civilian risks...Cryo, maybe?Na...same problem. Looks like a perfect time for...the razor sharp discs that don't really have a good enough name! How about just Razor Discs? Yeah, sure...good place holder...

He slid three Razor Discs between his right hand's fingers and jumped onto his now unlatched hoverboard in case he needed to escape. He chucked a blade directly at Kyte's gun holding hand's knuckle to try and cause a little more distraction and then would speed over to the little girl and attempt to take her onto his board and off to freedom. Hopefully that Chainsaw guy would be too preoccupied with Jay to notice...

Jemmy was slightly impressed. These heroes certainly had some guts. Maybe they didn't need to die. She could certainly have a fun time playing with them. But for right now she had to remember to look scared. She was a hostage, after all.

Gargle let loose a long string of guttural moans. His target was running away from him, trying to interfere with Jemmy's plans. Gargle would not allow it. He pulled his chain saw arms out of the wall and fell to the ground below, landing lightly right in front of the oncoming Scope. Crossing his arm blades, he slashed an "X" at Scope, hoping to cut him into pieces before he could even reach Jemmy.

For some reason, the winged girl decided to be foolish and shot projectiles at him. One click of a trigger and the employee was dead, his brains spattered all over the wall as the other employees looked on, frozen in their fear. It only took a millisecond, and left Kyte plenty of time to fire off another shot with Lux to deflect the projectile, as he did with both guns for every projectile afterwards, knocking them out of the air. He quickly then fired off three more shots to his left side where he saw the discs from he and Scope's last fight, knocking them out of the air as well. The girl landed, spouting the usual idle banter.

Poor kid. You must be in shock. Something seems off, doesn't it? Lemme help. Kyte seemed to think a bit, sarcastically, before lighting up in fake realization. Oh! That's right! He pointed a gun directly forward at her, keeping Lux on Jemmy's head since Gargle was taking care of Scope.

However, Tenebrae didn't seem to be pointing at her...but past her. That wall wasn't covered in blood and gray matter because a girl chose to carelessly attack a man calling a hostage situation. His blood's on your hands, now. Now you get to think of all the things you could have done to prevent it...like doing as I said.

He angled the gun to a woman's head next, at his right. Since Jay was at his front, she'd have a harder time trying to save her in case she tried to act recklessly. So, Scope, you and your friend here should stop before there has to be any more casualties. If you stop, Gargle will, and we can get to what you have to do to get these people out of here alive.

He was talking to Scope, but kept his eyes on Jay. He'd punish them for every stupid decision they made.

Jay could not believe what had happened. She had timed the feather-pins to hit him in time to get rid of the gun before he could have shot the guy. She had timed it! And not only did this guy manage to kill some one, he knocked all of the weapons fired out of the air! How did he do that! Jay's confusion quickly changed to anger and with out her knowing her wings shifted to bright red and started to spark and give off a lot of heat. She should have come up with a different plan, a different attack strategy, what kind of Titan was she if she couldn't even save one hostage? She clenched her jaw and looked at Kyte, frustration and anger in her eyes and fueling the flames now sparking to life on her wings. She didn't look at the blood, she didn't look at the gun. She knew she would be sick if she did. She didn't have a plan for the next move. She didn't know what to do next. So she stood there, half listening to Kyte, half trying to keep from firing wing attacks at him in anger. "Alright, what do you want?" she forced herself to ask.
