Job Opening

Liz saw that her net had missed the target and instead just enveloped the car inside it, unfortunate, in response she shot a few more cover web-balls before ducking back behind the wall of the bank again. Assumingly all of them had missed the mark yet again because now her opponent was quipping back at her.

"Drat, shooting from behind cover is really hard! I really gotta give it to those cowboys in the movie dog fights man."

"Oh come on who do you think you're kidding, you know you dig the tights and the mask especially. I think it adds a little mystery, personally."

Spidey was going to say more, but no sooner had she finished her sentence did her spider-senses suddenly alert her of the incoming bolt of lighting. Thinking quickly she back flipped onto the upper portion of the wall and watched the part below it get blown away by her opponent's blast. Afterwards she drooped her head and web-shooters down through the new opening while still clinging to the actual still intact wall above the hole with her feet and began firing off some more web-bullets while upside down.

"Sorry, but you don't have the bod to pull it off. No offense, but it takes a lot to look this good for the guys I put behind bars. I mean a girl's gotta leave an impression, ya know? Especialy since most of them get life sentences and I never see them again---WHOA!!"

As Spider-Girl quipped her foe while keeping up the presure from her webbed projectiles the part of the wall she was on would suddenly break off as the crack that was forming on it from Raivan's blast grew bigger and bigger until she eventually fell in a pile of rubble. However, immediately afterwards she would break out and pushed the debris off of her, it still might've unfortunately given the would be assassin the time he needed to get on the offensive again.

After pushing the debris off of her Spider-Girl was just in time to receive a bolt of electricity to her chest. Her spider-senses alerting her of danger as she watched the bolt head straight for her. After being hit she was sent flying back into the side of one of the pillars or support beams holding up the building's ceiling. After colliding with the beam and leaving a large crack and missing chunk in the side of it, she dropped to a knelt position and as she predicted her visor and suit was acting all screwy with the electricity surging all throughout the armor. Her Spider-Senses then alerted her to another incoming bolt and in response Liz raised her forearm to block it, the metal covering on her arm shielding her from the initial blast, but the surge again began shorting out her mech-spider outfit. The AI blaring a warning on the screen in her helmet. Luckily, she avoided the last shot by doing a one handed cartwheel out of the way after being blasted back into the pillar again and heard as the bolt busted through the support. In a bit of pain now, Spidey tried answering back with some web-balls but the compartment under that arm was malfunctioning.

"Great, systems need to re-boot, guess I'll have to switch to heavy artillery."

Her masked seemed to have some functionality, although it showed her visions sensory was offline, her targeting system as still available. So in response to his blasts, 2 compartments on each of Spider-Girl's shoulders flipped open and fired off double impact webbing missiles, meaning if they hit their target they would explode and ensnare him in shrapnel like web fluid. Liz's lock sequence having guided them towers her foe for her. Hopefully, this would either end this or give her systems the time to reboot and get back online.

As Raivan went through the trouble of having to avoid her missiles, Liz quickly stood fully erect and waited for her systems diagnostics. She even tried to moving around a bit to shake off and break the surge of electricity over the machinery that covered her body to speed it up.

"Come on, come on, come on, you're not braking that easily."

Just then as Raivan complained about the missiles not being fair, she had to agree.

"Hey, all's fair in love and not getting killed."

Just then Liz's mask began to show that her systems were rebooting.

"Yes! Ok, now what's the damage?"

At this point the targeting missiles had crashed and Raivan avoided them both. This put up a red flag in Spidey's mind that she needed to act fast, but on the screen that encompassed her helmet it was showing many of her suits weapon functions and some of her normal functions were fried or still offline...Great. Raivn was now coming down towards Spider-Girl saying he was sorry for whatever horrific thing he was about to do to her. Luckily, she had already pin pointed exactly which of her armor's functions that were still working to use to counter his advance. As he approached from the web-dispenser on her other arm because the right one was still down, she quickly lifted up her arm in a blocking like motion, and from the plate armor over her forearm suddenly sprung a cocoon like web substance upon Raivan making contact with it. Kind of like the airbag of a car when you plow into something. The cocoon like shielding immediately deflected his surge, but like the webbing, that was on his arms it was quickly being eaten through by his current. Although, since there was a thicker amount for her shielding it was taking much longer...

"Don't be, because I'm not sorry for doing this!"

Upon making contact with the web-slinger's shielding, Spider-girl used her enhanced leg muscles to leap up vertically. The idea being to carry Raivan on top of the airbag like shield she had just made all the way up into the ceiling, where she would mash him against it and hopefully incapacitate the guy. That is unless he was tougher than a normal human being, then he would just feel like he got tackled by 345 lb linebacker, either one was fine with Liz.

After ramming the would-be assassin into the roof of the building he seemed to be out of it on impact a she predicted. After letting him drop down to the ground with a large chunk of the ceiling, Liz landed on her feet and then went to check on the boy. Since she assumed he wasn't too enhanced even if he wasn't fully human, since he hadn't gotten back up yet Spidey knew she needed to make sure she hadn't half killed the boy. Although, of course her niceness always turned out to be a BIG mistake. For as Spider-Girl drew near suddenly the boy regained a bit of his bearings and threw forwardth an electromagnetic shockwave, which sent the web-slinger soaring off her feet and rolling across the room.

"Awww, come on! You gotta be kidding me, not this again."

As she rebounded to an arachnid like position, once again all her equipment was acting all screwy. Plus, her attempted murderer was oddly enough mad at her for almost killing him, go figure.

"Sorry, can't have you bleeding all over the place at a nice restaurant like Applebees. You would need to clean up first, and I'm not letting you do that until you tell me who you work for. So maybe you should just tell me here and now?"

As Spider-girl sat in a crouched position she was speaking confidently. Obviously trying to hide that her suit was going haywire. She really didn't even know where Raivan was at the moment thanks to her visor being all scrambled from the sudden thunder wave.

Instead of answering her Raivan did the exact opposite of what Liz was hoping, he began shooting the support beams of the bank! Now since there had been a robbery and it was late, she was pretty sure most people had left the building, but there still could be someone here. She knew the vault would hold, but everything else no doubt was getting crushed.

"Damn, thought I had been wrong about this kid, but I guess when it gets down to it he'll do anything he has to, to finish a job."

With her systems mildly rebooting, she tried using her web-lines to keep him from escaping....Nope, still offline, but she was able to shoot a tracer at his back. Good, now hopefully if she could just get her helmet to quit scrambling.

"Come one, come on!"

All four supports had been hit and this floor was going to collapse as well as the one above it. Luckily, after using an old fashioned technique for getting electronics and machinery to work (she hit it) her visor came back online, sort of, with a dozen of so critical warnings signs. All of which she dismissed and instead just quickly wanted a full scan of the building....Scanning...

"Oh darn."

There was a single janitor on the floor above with headphones on, he must've been in the bathroom at the time of the robbery or something. Either way, couldn't let him get caught in all the rubble. So moving quickly and without much help from her broken suit Spider-girl jumped up and shoulder thrusted her way through the part of the ceiling they had almost already crashed through. The pre-weakened tapestry shattering as Liz's shoulder connected with it and then upon making it to the second floor she darted across the room at the vacuuming elderly Hispanic man. The entire floor collapsing underneath her as she charged in his direction. Finally, just before she reached him the man noticed that there was a loud rumbling and all the stuff around him seemed to be sliding downward! But of course, before he knew it Spidey had already scooped him up and dove through the side window of the building. As they plummeted twenty feet to the ground, Lizandra took the brunt of the landing on her back, while letting the man land on her stomach. This of course left a rather nice imprint of herself on the ground and still injured him a bit, but hey, at least he was still alive.

"URgh, think I threw my back out..."

She was lieing, her exo-suit had protected her, but her figure still left a large crack in the ground. Just one of those things that happens when your web-dispenser don't work. As the janitor watched the building completely fold on itself, he quickly turned to thank Liz at least a dozen times in Spanish. She of course just waved it off while cracking her back into place as if it was no big deal.

"Está bien, que no era nada, ir a casa." (It's ok, it was nothing, go home.)

At that Spider-Girl just looked at the rubble as well as a few cop cars that pulled up, of course they told her to freeze, and she instead did a series of high jumps and flips to get onto the roof of a building and run away. She knew she wasn't a fan of the cops in this city, and now she was no fan of this assassin guy. He had almost killed someone else trying to kill her. Although, it didn't matter, she had fired off a tracer before he left, but with her suit down she couldn't follow it at the moment. Plus, she didn't know if his current would interfere with the trace. Either way, Liz was sure they would meet again...Very soon, and hopefully his employer would be there too.
