Titans Together! (Cont.)

OOC: Technically, yes, but I edited out that bit (it was just in one post) since Dar's right time wise, but... if Dar is here, now, and Backlash kills him in the future, it doesn't make any sense that she kills him in Titans Tower North, seeing it's ka-poosh in this setting. :/ Oh, and Honest will be on the scene soon, in case anyone was wondering.

BIC:
Backlash reappeared through a broken, bent, and battered stoplight opposite the battle by a broken window and a nearby building. She hadn't forgotten what she had come for.

"JaK Sage," the teen whispered the name as if it had been a millennium since she had last seen him. "Jump City is falling to rubble, and all you can do is bum around while your teammates take all hits? I thought you were supposed to be a 'hero.' Aren't you supposed to be saving someone right now? Where'd your little sidekick run off to? Do you seriously expect Grace to last out there, huh? Without your hot-shot self, huh? There's a lotta blood being spilt out there, JaK. It disappoints me to not see yours out there, too." Katarzyna rammed her studded boot straight into the gash she had made in her ex's chest and let her whips lash freely as she tightened the leather strap holding her fuming red hair together, egging JaK on with an easy shot. "Titans North is already gone. It's been swept off this city's streets like nothing, and with one of its own members to blame that's now wreaking havoc everywhere it goes, you'll have to babysit them, too." Now she pulled out a toothpick from her trench coat and began chewing on it. "They're fighting him---the Titans against one of their own, and they're fighting to kill. I want you to fight me, JaK, or I won't be able to take any satisfaction from murdering you... well, that is, if that's what it comes too in order to make everyone believe the truth about 'heroes.'"

Kat knelt down to JaK and let her boot dig even deeper. "I gave up on heroes long ago. You're no exception."

OOC: The tower will be rebuilt at the end of the Joshua story. It was in that tower that Evan will be killed by Backlash. Evan was killed several weeks after Backlash's appearance, and this thread only takes place a few hours after her appearance. (Wow, we need a timeline for the site).

Capricious heard Evans voice and nodded before jumping back from the huge water titan.
"OhGod.." she whispered her body freezing. "OhGodOhGod." her memories were threatening to overcome her before she heard Evans voice suggest her hypnosis and she snapped back tring not to look at the amount of water.
If she touched it...
Ugh...
Her hair...
Whatever. Concentrate Julie.
"Primarch...Primarch....Can you hear me...stop...this..now....everyone..stop...all...this..chaos...NOW...." her hypnotic voice should reach all preset but she wasnt sure how strong they'd be affected, it was pretty strong.
Then she gathered her breath and thought of allher fear and pain and betrayal, every mistake, hurt...and she screamed.
Her sonic boom like cream was aimed at Primarch, hoping to somehow affect him
Then she saw the other electric start to advaance on a titan she snapped into action, running at the girl and letting out a sonic scream aimed point blank at the girl.
"LEAVE HIM ALONE" her hypnotic voice commanded after the sonic boom left her lips. The boom should have atleast pushed her away from him.
She rushed to the boy on the ground, not dropping her gaurd but looking down at him, "This would hurt, but I could heal the wound enough for it to not be open. By..eh..kind of burning it together." she offered hurriedly looking up to see where the girl was and what had happened.

Ravian really thought he was going to die. His plan bad failed horribly. The giant Had stepped onto him. He felt one of his ribs crack or maybe break he couldn't tell to many distractions. He listened to the giants demand and laughed no way they were going to barter for him. This monster should've grabbed a better hostage.

But just as ravian though he was about to pass out, as air was still being squeezed out of him by joshua's foot. He was saved, he looked at the stranger wih questioning eyes, confused at why he had been saved [color=darkred]"yeah....I'm fine" he said. He sat up trying to ignore his cracked rib. "I just got surpri-woah!" he yelled as a wall of fire rushed at him. But it would be stopped. By the only thing he feared more than a searing, bone charring wall of fire. A drenching power disabling wall of water. He jumped back at the site of it and tensed up at he expectation of the water drenching him, he closed his eyes tight and threw up his arms.

A few seconds later he would open them still waiting to he drenched wha-" he said looking up at the strange creature infront of him. Thank god he had thought it had been pushed over here by a super. Meaning it was going to fall as soon as it's purpose was through and drench him.

The giant was now officially his problem. There was no apparent reason he was being attacked but he didn't care. He wasn't happy with him. Primarch Joshua that is. It needed to have some sort of weakness. But after a few seconds he would stop just before attacking. He could hear someone or feel something, he didn't want to fight anymore he stood for a few seconds, just dazed. But it only took one look at the giant to remind him that he needed to fight. He took a step behind a tree, hiding, as if that would help.

He surveyed the area looking for something he could use to hurt Joshua, he found nothing but refound Backlash. He needed to make sure not to lose track of her. He walked over to the two other "electros" wondering how common his power was. At the second Kat noticed him he would shoot a bolt of lightning at her. He still needed to defeat her....and the giant. He really needed to prioritize. "you need any help with her? he said to Julie

Julie saw the boy approach her and nodded quickly.
"Help would be greatly appriciated" she nodded running her hand through her now short hair and then looking back down to Jak and then at Backlash.
She needed to defeat Primarch and apparently also this electro girl.
Gahh there was no peace for a Titan, constantly someone has to take over the world or some shit.
"JOSHUA." her sonic voice commanded his attention.
"Fight against it...you can do it...free yourself..." she let her hypnotic waves drift to him.
She was still trying to figure out what to do.
"Evan..? You there?...Mod I need some help, I dont know what to do." she spoke to her communicator.

Joshua cringed as a foreign voice entered his mind. His subconscious was reaching out to him in a desperate attempt to give him common sense, to stop him from falling further into madness and power. As soon as his subconscious broke out, Khorne had stamped it out like a wild fire. He turned to the source of the noise, Julie, and in a wave of Psyker energy Khorne entered into Julie's mind. "Pathetic little girl. I have a hold on his mind. You cannot stop a god.." And with that he left her mind and entered into Joshua's before he could fight back. He held his hand out towards Julie and Jak, sending a wave of fire towards them.

Goth saw the attack and ran towards the heroes, sliding to them and stopping in front of them. He slammed his ax into the concrete, a wall of earth stopping the flames from burning them. He looked back at Julie, Jak, and Ravian and said. "This magic is dark....I've seen it on my planet when I fought against an evil tyrant. I defeated him just with sheer strength but barely survived. We need more help."

Joshua looked up at the water being, never seeing such a strange thing. He was ignoring the other heroes and focused on the one that caught his attention. He examined the alien and saw the symbol of the omnitrix. He gripped his sword, his anger rising as he realized that this imposer wasn't Ben, his dearest friend. He lfited his blade and cut through the telephone wiring, causing the cut wires to spark and dance on the ground. He picked up the wires, his armor absorbing the electricity. His armor was covered with electrical current, sparking with every movement. He drew his fist back and punched through the water being, sending the electricity through the water being.

OOC: Whew... finally cranked out this one. Sorry for the lateness. WARNING: Huge post alert.

Backlash seemed to crack under JaK's words. It was true... of course it was true, he was the real reason she left. But then again, being on any team, whether JaK was in it or not, was not where Katarzyna fitted. She even began to doubt whether being in the U.S.A. was where her calling could expand; her home back in Sczcecin, Poland was where the girl was most needed. Her father needed care, especially after what was now two years of unknowingly having his brain turn to mush. Sometimes. Konrad would say one word to Katarzyna when she made the long journey back. "Pela.." he would grumble. "Pela. You're alive..." But no, his wife wasn't alive. All he had was his daughter to continue living for.

And that reoccurring event flashed in the rebel's mind as JaK said it was his fault for her leave... just like it was Katarzyna's fault for her mother's death. An uncontrollable power and a stubborn-as-hell mindset were Katarzyna's most insistent adversaries now. She had no time for "heroics; her duty called for much more than what she had been giving: teamwork, and a lot of it.

She removed her boot from the Titan's chest, inhaled, and let out a half-growl, half-sigh. Then, her Red state began to flicker and sputter out. Katarzyna's pools of lightning and geysers of electricity began to recoil into their master's core. "I'm going to hold you to that promise, JaK. Keep that in mind if you don't want to end up beneath my feet again."

Suddenly, Kat heard a deafening screech and before she could see the source, she went flying backwards as her hands flew over her ears and the whips automatically retracted themselves. "Agh!" she roared, but too loudly. Another shot of pain pierced her mind and sent her ears ringing. There seemed to be some sort of foreign electrical currents vibrating in her skull. She felt nauseous and dizzy, and when she tried to stand back up, she clumsily tumbled to the ground again. "Who just dared me to kill them?" Backlash growled, but her mind was still in such a fog that her vision was becoming blurry. "Whoever did is gonna get their face ground into the f*cking pavement!"

Back at Titans Central, a lone figure with a lone mask and a lone tower crashing into the island and cascading into the murky water complimented each other in a dark, destructive, and defeated demeanor.

No more. No more!

Honest had had enough of this despair and his own cowardice. “You’ve got to stand, Liev, and forge a new dawn from this sinister darkness; it’s my duty. It’s my calling as a Titan,” he said. “All right, Honest. Get ready for another act, for by the end of this night, the curtain folds––his reign will end!”

The shapeshifter bolted towards the wreckage of what used to be Titans Tower, leaping and bounding off the rubble just as a skilled acrobat jumping from his training equipment. He stopped at the center of it all and began to dig his way though a mountain of junk and started to free every useful, precious, and––moreover––the most powerful artifacts he deemed to repairable. Then, he found his own most powerful possession: a seemingly ordinary grand, black wood chest with the most ornate of detailing and an elaborate insignia carved at the head. It was the classic comedy and tragedy masks with two scripted initials in between that read “L.E.”

“Beautiful, just beautiful...” Liev Ehrlichmann couldn’t help but marvel of his best-ever craftsmanship. “Right-o, old friend. It’s about time you received new occupants for your dusty shelves.” He paused when he threw open the two hinged doors and revealed an endless path slithering between shelves upon shelves upon more shelves of masks and carefully cared for costumes. “Oh, gracious fate and unwavering luck!” Liev exclaimed, “You’re still here, right where I left you, thank the divines.” He quickly crossed himself and looked upward at the sky with his usual melodramatic enthusiasm. “It will be a stretch, but the Titans’ belongings must be kept somewhere completely safe. And as for these...” his golden eyes fell upon some of the most monumental and perhaps most important of all items of which Titans Tower had played host to: the talismans of defeated villains by the hand of Teen Titans both past and present. The actor smiled with the upmost pride and valor, then reformed to solemn seriousness. “...these must be guarded with everything I am and hope to be.”

Honest hoisted his bewitched sanctuary until it stood upright, grabbed hold of his [infamously] sequined, glittery silver purse, and started the dangerous task of transporting the dark trophies-of-sorts from the destruction to the equally dark-wooded invincible chest, and out of site.

But before he put the last item and closed the sturdy and impenetrable doors, Liev turned back to the apocalyptic scene taking place in the distant horizon of Jump City’s outskirts, closed his eyes, and tried to project the clearest, most precise message from within his racing mind in hope of someone to receive it––Capricious, if he was lucky enough––and be informed of Titans Tower Central’s current status.

Don’t come back here until this fight is all over and done––I’ve got everything I could salvage from the Hall of Villains and our personal sanctuaries as well as some weapons that could prove useful in our victory. There safe, and I’ll come when I’m done...you be safe too, team, and be strong.

Honest held the last item in his strong hands. It was none other than the mirror from Primarch Joshua’s room. It was badly cracked, but Liev decided its shattered reflection could prove more helpful in his plan. “Look what he’s become,” Honest whispered to the crisp air, “And this time... I don’t think it can be repaired.”

The doors were closed, the closet was locked, and the actor’s mind heart was set. And into the fire, he ran.

Katarzyna began to fumble for something... anything that could give her the energy to relaunch her electromagnetic system. And before long, she found it––or rather, it found her.

Ravian’s bolt of lightning collided with Backlash’s outstretched palm not a second before she had enough strength to life the metal machine that was her prosthetic arm. It spread like wildfire tough her nervous systems and the magnetized white blood cells in her arteries, filling her with a much needed body boost. Her vision returned with razor-sharp clarity, her mind reverted to steel attentiveness, and her power disc hummed fervently as she got to her feet and struck her whips together to activate their power again. They were still a bit shaky after Capricious’s sonic boom, but the weapons were more than ready to lash out on their commander’s foes.

Katarzyna looked at Capricious, to JaK, then to her original pursuer––the cocky electro who attacked her at random––to JaK again, Capricious, Ravian, then her own whips and scowled at the three with good ol’ teenage girl angst.

“I’d rather have my eyes gouged out with a fork than fight with the likes of you squabbling mutts,” she spat, “But I guess I’ll have to lay off on that plan for now, seeing you friend over there just bought you tickets to get out of the pound with his own ticket in. Just try not to do anything stupid, all right? JaK Sage’s head depends on it.”

With that, Kat lassoed the broken window’s sill above her, held on tightly, and yanked herself back onto the building to get an aerial view of the fight and plan her next move. Good luck, she wished JaK secretly.

“...now you’re really gonna need it with me at Primarch’s side!”

Primarch Joshua seemed stunned for a brief moment. Grace wondered what exactly the new Titan, Capricious, had done. Grace herself had heard the girl's voice in her head for a brief moment. Was she a telepath?

Sadly, Joshua seemed to break out of it. He was on the rampage again. Grace almost screamed as he punched Jenny right through. The shapeshifter altered her body and exploded. Grace covered her eyes for a second. Before she could see what the effect of the exposion was on Joshua, Grace heard the sound of jets approaching.

The air strik that Smith had demanded finally showed up. Two bomber jets appeared, flying only a few hundred feet over the ground. Each jet launched a seeker warhead missile. The missiles collided with Joshua, or at least the cloud of debris where he had just been during Jenny's explosive attack.

This explosion shattered windows with the power of its shock-wave. Smith waited for the smoke to clear to see if the giant had survived. It seemed unlikely; those bombs were very powerful. However, he didn't want to take any chances. He ordered the jets to stay in the general area in case they were needed.

JaK's heart filled with a feeling of relief as he saw that Kat had agreed to his terms. Now maybe with them all working together they could defeat this thin----WHAT!? Suddenly a wave of what seemed like pure sound or something to that affect hit Kat and knocked her away from the boy.

"NOO!"

JaK would yell as he witnessed this, he had finally just gotten her on his side and now whoever this was had maybe ruined the all but temporary alliance. A few moments later a girl would kneel next to the boy probably thinking that the look on his face was because he was surprised at being saved. Not because he had wished that Capricous didn't knock away their only new potential ally in this cirsis. Still when she offered to help him he wasn't rude to her or anything, he still gave her a thankful expression. She was just trying to help after all, besides that Kat seemed fine. A point proven when the other electromancer blasted her and she absorbed the energy restoring her power. Seconds later giving a crucial warning to all three of them before tempoarily leaving the scene to find cover. Good, Kat was going to be their ally for now...Maybe, at leasst he thought so. Anyway, enough laying around JaK had to get back in the fight. Seeing that the girl leaning over him had tempoarily subdued or strayed the monstrosity JaK tried to motion as best he could, painfully, for her to begin the healing process.

"Do it."

JaK didn't mind a bit of pain, in fact, pain seemed to be a never ending MAJOR part of his life. However, befofe the girl could even reply the giant broke her mental grip on him and launched a wave of dark magical fire at them. In JaK's current state he was a sitting duck. Luckily, a miracle would come in the form of some guy with an axe, but whatever, JaK was greatful because somehow he was repeling Primarch's attack! Sage then looked at Capricous with a hurried expression.

"You might wanna hurry."

OT: This was before Jenny's and Smiths explosions hit.

Julie ignored the first outburst from Kat.
"Kill me later I have bigger fish to fry." she muttered before listening to JaK and nodding.
"Sorry." she stated before concentrating the electric current in her fingers and aiming at his wound. The flesh smoldered together and she knew it must hurt like hell, but atleast it wouldnt reopen or get in the way.
Then she gasped hearing the Gods voice in her head. Her knees buckled as the words pierced her mind, being extremely sensitive to telepathy and not liking it one bit.

"Mod can you hear me?" she asked the communicator before turning to JaK.
"I'd help you up but I think it would be wise not to touch me." she shrugged before looking at Kat.
When the girl left she just blinked.
Friend or Foe or both? Huh?
Whatever. Concentrate. Primarch.
She wasnt going to give up, Khornes calling her pathetic just fueled her temper.
Ooooh Idea.
"Can somebody give me back up? I gotta concentrate." she took advantage of the waterthings battle with the giant. Perhaps now that he was distracted she could get her message through to Josh and distract the god long enough for him to break out somehow.
"I can't stop a God? Pfft. I see NO GOD. JOSHUA. PRIMARCH. fight him! Break free! And you, God thingy- whatever. Get the HELL out of my Teammate!" she screamed focusing her sonic boom on Primarch once again.
