| Grace's improved frozen stone armor was able to block the bullets from Smith's men, but suddenly a shockwave sent her flying against a building. A giant had appeared, and was rampaging through the city. Was there no end to this crisis?
Grace had never really met Primarch Joshua, she had perhaps seen him once or twice. Still, had she answered her communicator, she would have known at least the identity of this monster.
Titan's Tower? What did the monster want with Titans Tower? Grace prepared to defend herself from anything the creature might do.

Smith's men were sent flying. Recovering from the sonic wave, Smith held his bruised side and looked at the giant warrior. What was that thing?
"Smith" his earpiece sounded. "Smith, that giant is another Titan. We just intercepted a message from Model Eleven that identifies the giant as Primarch Joshua."
"The West Tower has joined in the war, then," Smith concluded. "The Titans have finally shown their true colors. Commander, we're going to need an air-strike." |

| As JaK sped down the ladder and landed next to the new arrival, who had luckily stopped hismelf from the death drop by way of electromagnetism, which reminded JaK of another teen hero named Static kinda. Kat would burst out a welcoming to Sage before running towards both him and Raivan in one of her trademark tyrants. JaK knew how to defend one of her direct charges from experience, but there was a problem! For some reason he wasn't able to move his body or at least easily or as fast as he needed to be able to avoid her blow and counter it. It would seem Backlash's new found powers had given her better control over metal and other objects her electromagnetism could effect. Quite the predicament for JaK Sage actually who was coated in such material, but luckily he would be rescued from another lashing by Katarzyna's whips when Grace interfered sort of to his dismay. He had wanted her to escape, but still her interference had broken Kat's focus on both him and the other boy and instead left an opening for JaK to manuver. An opening he didn't keep long for suddenly he would feel very hot and fast small pieces of debris fly into his armored body and lauge themselves into or ricochet off of him.
"You gotta be kidding me!? That's it, I tried to play it cool with you guys, but now you're starting to tick me OFF!!"
Bullets, really!?! They were shooting at someone who had saved the city from an evil Santa Clause once, being infested by demons, rescued the mayor from death itself, and stopped well over half a dozen robberies over the past year. How could these fools have forgotten excactly how much good the Titans had done so quickly?? Well if that's how they wanted to play it, JaK could have a short memory too. Putting into the back of his mind his promise to Cyborg, his longing to be a hero, and his yearning for acceptance. No, now he was who he always feared to be...A Sage. Those in his family like his borther and father were liars, murders, and deceitful. That's right, JaK was going to allow hismelf to go back to his roots and unleash his fury upon Smith and his men. He vowed not to fight Kat of course, but the army and defending his own well being were two entirely different matters. With that the boy would swat two more bullets out of his way as he charged towards the army while unleashing a heart-aching roar from his sarchophagus. Unafraid of the spray of shrapnel that could still very much so pierce his armor JaK continued to run at the group. Sprinting over and a top the roofs of parked cars as well as sliding under them for cover as he ran at the soldiers and then just before reaching them he would lunge into the air. Bullets holes riddeling his armor like a cop car under fire as he came down toward Smith directly with a knock out punch aimed at his forehead while his men continuously fired....Well at least until he was thrown back by what appeard to be nothing but a mighty gust of wind?! That's right, moments before impact Joshua's screech sent the airborne Titan sailing back along with Smith and his men plus his current and ex teammates like a gail force wind. Landing on the top of a vehicle after bouncing off several other objects. JaK lifted his wounded exteriored body up and took a look at the culprit behind such a powerful surprise attack. His vision was sort of blurry from hitting so many things during being blown away, so he couldn't make out Primarch. Instead the boy just asked a singular question as he began to struggle to his feet hoping his vision returned soon.
"AUuuGh, depends who's asking bud? The Titans are kind of busy right now, maybe you could come back at a later time...Like Never." |

| Holy sh*t! Backlash whispered as she turned to see the evil, giant Primarch Joshua, but before she could react any further, a sonic shriek rang through her ears, making her lightning and magnesis go haywire, then sent her flying backwards, her lightning whips scrambling to catch hold of something tangible. Luckily, a tree provided jus that. “Wait...” Kat mumbled when she got to her feet. “A tree? That thing landed me back in the forest?”
But suddenly, that gave Katarzyna an idea.
“Smith!” she yelled into her communicator, not sure if he could hear her over all the commotion. “Smith! Do you read me? Try to lure that thing back to the forest, or he’ll really blow up the whole city! And look, this may sound crazy, but we’ve gotta hold off on the Titans we already have on our hands. I know you don’t trust them––hell, I don’t trust them––but we...” she paused. “We need their help for now. They can’t possibly expect to be on Primarch’s side. He’s clearly the opposition now! Get that, Smith? Smith? Oh, god, Smith... if you’re dead, well... so am I.”
Backlash shut off the transmitter, still completely unaware that JaK and the other Titans may still be close enough to Smith to overhear her.
The girl clenched her fist and prepared for a much bigger battle than she had expected. “I will earn my title. Everyone will know the name “Backlash” from this day on! I am justice... I am someone... I have to be..." |

| Ravian stared at the giant the giant struck with awe. He really hoped it wasn't on Backlash's side. but he turned his attention back to Backlash, she was distracted. Maybe he could get in close now. He began to run towards her but quickly stopped as an earsplitting scream went through the air, his feet left the ground as he reached out for something, anything to grab hold of.
He didn't fly to far though as he ran into several objects that he didn't care to identify. They just hurt, he got up slowly his ears still ringing like he had been to close to a bomb, his hearing would slowly return. Just in time to hear the giants question. So he was after titans or at least the tower, it was Ravian's lucky day. Seeing as he wasn't a titan he should be left alone. He looked around still confused, where was Backlash. she was his target, as soon as she was gone he was going to ditch the two titans, though the giant complicated things.
He rubbed his ears. They were better now but still hurt, but they were good enough to hear backlashes call. He took a step and then jumped to the cars, using arcs of electricity to propel himself to in front of one of the squad car after a moment of listening he had found out where backlash was, or would be. The forest.
He jumped again, not willing to walk through the recovering officers. He glanced back at the giant. It was going to cause problems and he couldn't let his new hometown get destroyed. But that could wait, backlash came first. Afterall if he didn't find her he would just have to fight the hat and he didn't think that would go as well. With a worried look he ran into the forest "Had to get yourself mixed up in this didn't you"

| Joshua frowned at his request being denied. He looked down at the officers and then back at the Titans. "This is a problem for the Titan's. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha." He laughed, lifting his blade off his shoulder and slowly towards the ground, touching the concrete with the tip of his blade. He lifted it up and slashed horizontally, a wave of dark purple fire fling out of his blade and towards the officers, passing the Titan's, Villain's, and Smith unharmed. They were burned alive so fast there were no screams, just ashes left behind. Joshua lifted his blade again and, with speed unexpected from a heavy armored opponent, he grabbed Jak and lifted him up, squeezing his body tight but not tight enough to kill him. He then threw him away like a rag doll and pointed his blade up to the sky.
The same dark purple fire shot out from his blade and covered the sky with dark purple clouds. The sun was blocked and the city was in pitch darkness except for the street lights. Raining down from the heavens came fire, hitting buildings, cars, and streets. "I am Primarch Joshua. Chaos Lord of Khorne," He swiped his blade towards Backlash, a sharp wind blowing towards her. "This world is at an end, the human race will be extinguished. He saw Ravian run away from him, away from the rest of the super group. He grinned, a foolish choice, and ran after him. When he catches him, he's going to get the information he needed.

| Grace was in complete shock now. She remembered Primarch Joshua, or at least the name. This monster was claiming to be him?
The giant sent a wave of fire out towards the marines, and it consumed them entirely. Those men had just been doing their jobs. They had family and friends who would now never see them again.
Grace got angry. She decided that she would end this monster's existence by any means necessary.
As fire fell down from the sky, Grace was able to cancel out the fire that was falling towards her with a large shield of ice. The shield melted entirely, but at least the fire was gone too.
Primarch Joshua seemed to be chasing after the thief. Grace touched her hand to the building that she was closest to. Freezing the building solid, she was able to use her powers to lift it into the air. She tilted the building sideways and all the people inside fell out through the doors and windows. Finally, Grace floated herself into the air along with the building.
"Take this!" Grace muttered as she threw the building at 60 miles per hour at Primarch Joshua. It would hit him in the back unless he deviated a lot from his course.
____________
Smith looked in horror at the ashes that used to be his men. He had made a promise to protect these soldiers. He had failed.
Backlash was yelling in his earpiece about leaving the Titans alone and focusing on the giant, Primarch Joshua. He had to agree. That...thing was calling fire from the heavens! Joshua would destroy Jump City if he wasn't stopped immediately.
Smith put his hand to his head piece. His side was still hurting. He might have a broken rib, but he didn't have time to think about that. "Come in Command. This is Smith. We have a level 6 threat. The Titan known as Primarch Joshua has gained some strange power and is now a threat to the world. Send all meta-human units to this location. I don't care if you have to call the Justice League, we just need this guy dead, fast!" |

| Capricious ran faster after she got the call and came to a slightly depressing sight. "Got the message, I'm Capricious, Titan." she explained to those present holding her whip out ready and energy crackling from the air around her. There was another electrical one there, she could feel it. It was kind of hard not to feel it actually. She saw the boy on te ground but thought the fight going on more important for now. Tucking her communicator back in she saw Primarch fighting the other electric. Showtime.

| JaK's vision might have come back to him at one of the most importunate times, just in time for him to watch as the same soldiers he swore not to hurt...Swore the Titans wouldn't hurt, but then tried to attack himself were massacred in a matter of milliseconds. At first he felt like his newly revived eyes had betrayed him, but soon realized that the threat was real. Before being able to turn back and get a good look at Primarch Joshua he was swooped up around the waist with speed nearly as quick as he could blink. As he was held up to the monster's face momentarily he looked into Primarch's eyes. He had seen this glare before many times, the look of infested evil...The grip Joshua had on JaK was intense enough to cause the metal surrounding his body to complain as it bent under the strength in his one palm. Afterwards being tossed away like nothing. JaK flew through the air going through the window of an apartment building and out the other side of it's dry wall before his decent was stopped when he hit a stoplight and the whole thing collapsed under the force of impact plus his weight. A few moments passed after Sage hit the ground and sparks flew every where from the now exposed electrical equipment. He was badly injured now and could no longer keep up his armor. Not like it would do him much good in the condition it was in now anyway. As he dispelled it many bullet casings would drop to the ground, which had littered his armor before hand and his deformed body frame from Primarch's grip returned to it's normal shape. His gash from the earlier confrontation with Kat returned as well plus a few more lacerations to boot. The only thing JaK could do now was wait to heal. In the meantime he struggled to move his finger to his communicator on his belt and pressed the distress signal. (Before Capricous arrived) This distress alerted any and all Titans to their position. It was the best he could do at this point, the best he was able to muster because where alone he had failed, hopefully, together they would prosper.
"Titans, we need you..."
With those few words whispered, JaK collapsed and the healing process began. The fact that he had remained conscious that long was rather amazing in itself. |

| Katarzyna’s eyes became just a dull flickering as thoughts and memories of her short but hugely life-changing stay as a member of Teen Titans East, but moreover, that waning evening when she had sat on the roof of her former home and was met by JaK Sage... it pissed her off to think she kissed him and he kissed her. That was her first real kiss, when someone actually kissed her back. Granted, when she first kissed JaK on the cheek on the shores of Jump City after fighting alongside him in the Tournament of Heroes, she hadn’t really given him the chance to do anything in reaction.
Her power generator started to spark crimson in the heat of the anger and rage that flooded through Backlash’s blood. She hated the Titans. She hated supers. She hated JaK. She hated herself. Kat glanced down at it and began to panic. “Oh, God, no... not now! Not now! I can’t lose control! I can’t lose control! Please, don’t go red, Katarzyna. Don’t go red, don’t go red, don’t go red!” It was a state that the electromagnetic teen girl had never been able to master, or moreover, avoid. “Red” was a heightened state of literal anger that shocked her powers into maximum overdrive; in the past few battles that she had gone red, her lightning erupted from every possible outlet, including the ground in most cases. But that was when she just had the power to control electricity. Hell, now she had her already unstable ability of magnesis.
“Had to get yourself mixed up in this didn’t you?”
Backlash’s panic became raw malevolence when she looked up to see Ravian the Electromancer, someone she didn’t know at all and certainly someone she would not let push her around. He had no reason to. He was just looking for a fight. Kat stood up defiantly, but obviously more annoyed than willing to take an offensive or defensive stance. She retracted her whips and smirked with disgust.
“And what about you, ya stupid punk-@ss kid? You think you’re tough, huh? You think you’re so special and all-that-shiz because you have a superpower? Let me guess: you’re coming after me because you have nothing better to do with your life than screwing around with an ego the size of France. I’m sorry, but I’m busy right now with a psychotic giant ex-Titans and a couple of others who certainly deserve my attention more than you’ll ever earn. These people need saving, but you’re just a lost cause,” Katarzyna replied coldly, then ran back towards the city. She could sense the havoc already being wreaked... this wasn’t something she could handle all by herself, obviously. And because of that, Backlash did the inevitable.
You’re an idiot, Katarzyna. You’re a piece of crap and you let your mother burn and die at your own hand. You left your dad to rot. You sold his inventions to S.T.A.R. just to get revenge... you’re incapable of anything better than what’s given to you! You’re a freaking traitor, Backlash! TRAITOR!
Suddenly, Backlash’s hair turned a fiery red as her eyes, whips, and the lightning spurting from their sleek black handles did the same. A surge of crimson electricity erupted from beneath the rebel’s feet in a raging display of angst, hatred, exhaustion, and confusion. The shiny, black, metallic color of her skin began to shine just as the whites of her eyes had done before: brilliant, blinding, and frighteningly magnificent. Her metal prosthetic and power disc hummed in synchronization to a squadron of electrical surges that spread through the pipe system below, to the buildings of Jump City, and out of street lamps, telephone wires, manhole covers, telephone booths––you name it. Before long, everything was starting to black out. Frightened pedestrians ran from the shops and buildings to find better cover, but those who were smart enough had stayed inside or left when they heard and saw Primarch Joshua’s massive entrance. Backlash’s self-induced anger had worked; the city was starting to take down itself. And in the center, the apocalyptic-esque scene of none other than Titans Tower West collapsing after being sliced in half by the perpetrator standing before her.
Backlash’s heart skipped a beat, but her conscious mind registered nothing. She was Red now; she didn’t know what she was doing, she couldn’t distinguish right and wrong, she had no control over her powers whatsoever. And at that very moment, Primarch himself charged in her direction following a massive wall of wind. Quickly and instinctively, Katarzyna struck one of her whips and vanished just before the destructive impact could hit her. Her mind registered the threat as “hostile,” but did not specify whether Primarch was to be considered an ally or an adversary. But by the way things were happening––by his declaration to destroy the Titans––the answer came quickly after: a friend against a common foe... for now. |

| Julie was pretty sure the other girl had lost control. Great, another thing to worry about. Thankfully she was immune to shocks, logically. She saw the girl crank up full power and decided to kick it up a notch as well. She bit her lip as she let thousands of vlts course around her and through her. Her hair was lifted around her pretty face andher grey eyes were turning darker, she shot shock after shock at Primarch, hoping to taser him to oblivion, she was slowly losing control but still trying hard not to hit anyone else, then she switched to her whip, letting electricity crackle towards the enemy.
All of the sudden she felt something knock her over and she blinked, slightly dazed. It was just debris, but it had pushed hernear a puddle and her hair had come undone, now slightly wet. Which hurt. And the water was spreading up her hair with her current. Through the pain she bit her lip and sent a powerful surge to cut her hair short, to stop the flow of the water., now she had a messy inch of hair, a pissed off expression and a slight headache.
That was the last straw. She unleashed even more power upon Primarch, not being able to aim well at the moment and accidently blasting a small building to smithereens. Oops...

| Well she just had it all wrong didn't she. He admittedly probably didn't treasure his powers as much as he should but he definitely didn't over estimate his powers. He was even questioning if he could beat her alone, though if it came down to it he would try and if he had anything to say about it he would win or fight till he was an inch from death. But not all the way, that wasn't his style. He preferred to live to fight another day.
He couldn't help but wonder if she was expecting someone to be after her. What had she done to make the Hat so mad? Hiring someone to kill her seemed a bit extreme. "You have no idea how wrong you are" he got off as she ran back towards the giant and of course he followed, he didn't mind a game of chase. He could keep it up all day. If there was one thing he was good at it was running. Running away, running to, or just running around.
Then she erupted, he didn't stop but nearly tripped as everything about her turned red and electricity erupted from nearly everywhere. "Amazing" he thought. There was so much color and so much energy. He could practically feel it, she was attracting so much energy but more than that she was producing so much more energy than she had been a few seconds ago. But admiring would have to wait. Backlash had disappeared he stopped wondering where and more importantly why before noticing Primarch barreling towards him. He avoided the blast of air, but ended up skidding to a stop, on all fours, not to far from the giant of an enemy only forty feet or so which wasn't far enough for him. He looked up into the eye's of the giant and was surprised to see him looking back. Joshua's current target was him? that made no sense. Why? Did the universe want him dead or was this all just bad luck.
He stood lowly keeping an eye on the giant for any sudden movements. He then would jump forward, once again using his powers to propel him quickly. He was hoping to get under the giant and try and use his size against him. If he succeed he would fire several bolts at the knees of Primarch trying to bring him lower so he could have a better shot at his face. "You've got to be kidding me!"

| Joshua stopped as soon as the building was lifted and thrown, his blade warning him of what danger there was behind him. He spun around and sliced verticly through the building, cutting the entire thing in half. He wasn't intimidated by such strength but he was still wary. He laughed a bit and was about to turn to face Ravian when he saw a whip weilding heroine (atleast that's what he thinks), feeling the power from where he stood. The blade spoke in his mind, saying "She could be a great ally." Joshua agreed but for the moment he had to focus on his target, Ravian.
He turned to face Ravian, only to watch him slide underneath. 'Bad move.' Joshua thought, lifting his foot up and stepping down on Ravian's chest, his foot bigger than his torso. He moved his footing and turned so he was facing the other heroes. "Tell me, where is the Titan East tower so I may destroy that too. If you don't, I will kill this whelp." He laughed hysterically, pressing his foot harder against his hostage's chest. He placed his blade on his shoulders, waiting for an answer to his question
Goth ran through the park forest with his battle ax in hand. He was wearing school uniforms, the white collared shirt and black pants. He had spent a year in Earth's school and had learned the English language in a day with just a Webster Dictionary. He had seen the rain of fire and felt an evil presence, the same presence he had felt when he fought the Chancellor. He slowed down as he saw the giant with his foot pressed on someone. He lifted his battle ax and slashed it horizontally towards Joshua. A large wave of earth hit Joshua, going around Ravian as to not harm him. The wave of Earth crashed down on Joshua, burrying him in a pile of dirt and rock. Goth ran towards Ravian and knelt down next to him, checking for injuries. "Are you okay?" Goth asked, his accent sounding like he was one of the Native Americans from the old western movies. He looked over at the others and said. "I saw the evil from the forest and am here to help."
Joshua broke out through the pile of dirt and stood in front of the pile of rock and earth. He growled and pointed his blade towards Goth and Ravian, sending a wave of fire towards them.

| As the flames sped towards both Goth and Raivan before they had a chance to react all the sources of H20 in the area began to go haywire. Suddenly not far off hoses nozzles popped off. The fire department's engine began to squirt water like crazy and the hydrant's tops blew off. The dew from any vegetation began to levitate in the air and finally the manhole coverings exploded as geysers of liquid began to spray into the air. All of these forms of water combining to make a giant wave shield just in front of Raivan and Goth. Upon impact with Primarch's attack, however, the water force-field was shown being barely able to block it. The shield nearly evaporating and then burtsing for it just nearly held up against his attack. Soon after the droplets came backtogether in the shape of a smaller yet still pretty large nine foot water entity, recognizable to only a few who had seen it before. Although, the symbol in the middle of the humanoid aqua-being's chest area was definitely instantly recognizable to all present except Goth of course. The Omnitrix symbol... - Spoiler:
"Oooouch, getting evaporated SUCKS! What is that thing?"Jen and Dan had received Jak's call for aid when they were nearly to JLA HQ in Metropolis. Jenny tried to convice the Daxamite that they should go back, but he was certain that JaK and the others could handle it. Besides, they probably wouldn't make it in time anyway and he was supposed to keep her safe. However, Jen didn't care about the formalities she wasn't comfortable with leaving them in the first place, especially with Sage injured. Captain Daxam was firm on his decision though and wasn't going to let her go. So Jenny took the choice out of his hands by rotating the dial off the Omnitrix silently as they flew until she got the silhouette of the alien she that looked good and pressed down on it, turning into Overflow! In this form Capt. Daxam would be unable to hold her unlesss he of course froze Jenny, but luckily before that she leaked in between his grasp and into the ocean below. After joining with the large body of water in mere minutes her conciousness would travel all the way back to Jump City though the ocean and pipes/sewer system, forming with the water already in the cities facinity to re-make herself at the battle scene. Neat trick, not even Ben had known about that one. "Get back guys, I'll try to hold him off until more Titans come."Jen would speak this warning to Raivan and Goth with her murky water filled voice. Not recognizing either of them as Titans, so she figured they must just be by-standards. Afterwards she turned her long aquatic neck back towards Joshua and made her body larger by using her hydrokinesis to add more liquids in the area to her own mass index. Her size now rivaling his own near or around fourteen feet. Although, the fear in her heat could not be seen in this form it was there. This foe seemed formidable and currently Dan, nor JaK or Lance was around to save her this time. OT: So people don't get confused I'm just gonna say this. Were going to place this fight scene on the outskirts of Jump City right before you exit into the forest. Meaning, it's the city street right before you leave the City and out into the wilderness. Thus explaining why Backlash ended up in the forest and yet there's still cars and fire hydrants and buildings around. Jump City park is way in the middle of downtown so were not near it. |

| Grace watched as Joshua sliced the flying building in half. What kind of freakish strength did this guy have? She also saw the new Titan, Capricious, sending millions of volts into Joshua to no avail. It seemed like he was ignoring it. Maybe it had something to do with that wierd armor he was wearing.
People seemed to be appearing all over the place to fight Joshua. Grace decided to back them up for now. Forming a cloud of ice shards, Grace sent them flying in a whirlwind into Joshua's face. They would fly around at hurricane speeds, constantly hitting his eyes and the rest of his face. Hopefully, that would create enough of a distraction for someone to take the giant down.
________________
Model Eleven ghosted into Capricious' communicator. "I already tried electrocuting him, Capricious. His armor seems resistent to electricity. I think we need to try something else. I have theorized that his new armor is somehow controlling him. Perhaps you could use your hypnosis power to break the armor's hold on his mind."
OOC: This is before Evan gets killed. Just to clear that up. He dies a few weeks after this. |
