You gotta be quicker than that! (Thr33)

The machine was at a steady beep as Ella's chest rose and fell. Well as much as it could fall considering she had a cast wrapped around her chest, covering her entire right arm and shoulder. There was an IV in her left arm and a breathing tube strapped to her face which had cuts and bruises around the whole left side, basically, she was a mess.
Ella's head right now kept on getting glimpses of red and then white flashing lights before cutting to black. It was a memory taunting her, and every time she tried to reach for it, it disappeared. It hurt to think, hurt to remember.. remember... what did she remember?

The darkness that was sucking her down, released her...no.. more like launched her out of the murky water she felt like she was in, bringing her to bright lights and beeping noises. The beeping noises turned from a steady rhythm to panicked frenzy as Ella shot up from her bed with her eyes wide and body sore.
The machine by her bed would begin flashing red, alerting a doctor and nurse that something went wrong. The girl tried to say something but ended up coughing really hard due to the soreness of her throat.

Domhnall just stared for a moment with his mouth open. "Titus? What..." He stopped himself before finishing his sentence. Titus was Ella's brother. He knew that, but he never really thought of them as siblings. He tried to say he was sorry. He tried to tell him he was there, but he couldn't. "How, um...how is she?"

Before Titus would have a moment to respond, though, Ella woke up and started coughing. Dom stood still, frozen in the thick of the moment. Air seemed to hang still in his lungs. He was suffocating. Was she going to scream at him? Would she be happy to see him? Either reaction seemed equally possible at the moment. But she was in pain now. Regardless of what Ella thought of him, he wanted to make sure he was taken care of.

Domhnall dashed to the door and poked his head out into the hallway. "She's awake!" Dom yelled as he saw a nurse and a doctor running to their room with a cart of random supplies.

Very quickly, they threw open the doors and crowded around Ella, beginning to attend to her. Dom held his breath, standing uncomfortably. The doctor turned to speak to the boys, talking with urgency. "You two, get up and help me for a minute."

After being frozen for a moment, Dom dropped his backpack on the ground and moved over to the doctor's side. The doctor motioned for him to stand on the right side of him, while motioning for Titus to stand on the opposite side of the bed. The doctor handed Titus a pair of pills and Dom a cup of water. "She may react poorly if we're the first people she's aware of. It would be best for her to be cared by people she recognizes, if only to keep her heart rate stable."

The doctor nodded to the nurse as she held Ella's arm still. The doctor inserted a large needle into her upper arm and injected a liquid. "Just press that button if you need us." He spoke quickly and then left with the nurse, motioning to the white button beside the bed.

Dom stood beside Ella and stared at Titus with wide eyes. "Uhm...I'll give her water after you get her the medicine." He stood uncomfortably, ready to hand her the glass when she needed it.

"Ella? Are...you okay?"

Where was she, who were these people, who was she!? Why the hell was she here and what were they trying to give her! Instead of lashing out and freaking out she brought her knees to her chest and wrapped her good arm around her knees, pushing her head down as well.
Who was she? Why was she sore? Why did her head hurt? Who was she? Who were these guys? Where was she? Who was she? Why couldn't she remember anything? Why was she in a strapped up cast? Why did her arm hurt like hell? Who was she? Who was she? Who was she?

Her mind filled with questions that she couldn't answer, she tried to remember anything... Anything! But nothing happened! She was so scared and lost and the only thing she could do was cry.

Ella looked like the definition of fear. She huddled herself into a ball and just started to cry. Dom just stood there puzzled for a moment. What was there to be sad about? They had been incredibly lucky to survive the crash. If anything, he expected her to ring his neck once she was revived.

"Ella, why are you crying? Does something hurt? Uh, what's wrong, if you tell us, we can help you!" Dom spoke softly, but urgently, as he slowly placed his hand on the girl's shoulder, attempting to be comforting.

Dom shot a quick glance at Titus. He was at a loss and he was certain that he knew her better as her brother. He surely would have some answer. As the room paused for a moment, Dom sat the glass of water down on the counter. She obviously wasn't interested in it at the moment.

When the mysterious man placed a hand on her shoulder, Ella jumped in shock and looked up at him with a tear streaked face. She was lost and she needed help, he was the first person who reached out to her... literally.. Maybe he knew her? "Who are you?" She asked, her voice barely above a whisper. She was so frightened at the moment, any sudden movement would cause her to go into a complete anxiety attack.
Looking around once more. "Who am I!?" She yelled in frustration, grabbing at her hair as if she could pull the answers from there.

Slowly, Dom retracted his hand from Ella's shoulder. She didn't remember her brother, she didn't remember him, she didn't remember anything. His heart dropped and he felt gassed out of breath. Titus let her know who she was, her name and what she meant to him, but Domhnall was at a loss. Dom slowly took a step backwards glancing to his right and his left. How could he tell her anything about her? How could he tell her that she lost her memory because of him?

He slowed his heart beat and recollected his thoughts. They were in the middle of an investigation and they were closer than ever. To Midnight, the man in the white suit...No. None of that mattered. Here was Ella. She had amnesia, she was hurt...but she could be dead. Because of him. Because he was stupid. Reckless. Maybe a little arrogant, too.

Realizing that he should say something or else Ella might freak out, Dom finally managed to find his voice. "I'm...Domhnall, um...just someone from school," he began, ignoring how painful it was to look into her eyes. "You...were in an accident...but you're okay, I mean...you're alive."

Dom didn't want to say anything about the drug war. Definitely not right now. Quickly he turned back to the glass of water and picked it up carefully. "Here...the doctor said that you should take those pills...here's some water. It's to help you..."

When she asked who she was that was all she wanted to know, the other boy there just fired information on her and expected something from her. It just frustrated her even more, she didn't retain anything he just told her, it was like it was going through one ear and out the other.
The other boy who said his name was Domhnall handed her pills and water which she slowly reached out her hand for. He wasn't shoving information down her throat so she just stuck to what little info he gave her.

She reluctantly took the water and pills, eyeing Dom the entire time. She made it known she didn't like the other boy by refusing eye contact, he made her head hurt.
Soon after taking the pills, a woman with scrubs on walked in and looked at Ella while checking her vitals. "Mr.Ahosan, can you please go to the rest of your family and explain to them what happened, tell them that they cannot visit yet." She told Titus while turning her attention back to the fearful Ella. "Alright Miss Ariella, Your friend and I are going to ask you some questions." She explaiend while pointing to Dom.
