---------------------
Open To: Teen Titans, Slivers
Characters Appearing: Insanity, Teen Titans, Slivers
Summary: Alissa is bored, so she decides to cause some trouble and see who comes to stop her. So, bring it on, superheroes!
Time: Around 1 PM
---------------------

Alissa stretched out in the warming sun as she lay on her towel. She was at the beach, and it was beautiful day, with families and couples all mixing together on the soft white sand. But despite the cheerful atmosphere, Alissa was here for a different kind of fun. She’d laid low for a few weeks, furnished her apartment, done some shopping, established the best shops in town, and basically settled in to her new home. During that time, she’d also done some research.

Alissa had heard stories in New York, heard rumours about strange things happening and strange people appearing in Jump City. By the time she had heard enough to have at least some basis in fact, the blonde was dying to come to Jump and cause some havoc. In New York, causing a riot was nothing big. People would notice, police would come, but in the end nothing ever happened. But, in a place full of metahumans just waiting to pounce on you and play the hero… now that was some fun. Alissa was so pumped to get these people’s attention; she almost jumped out her seat every time she thought about it. By hacking into the local government’s database, she had discovered the existence of three new teams of superheroes. The Titans Central, the Titans East and the Slivers.

The Titans Central and East seemed pretty straightforward. All new recruits, the same technology as the original teams, nothing particularly special. The Slivers were a bit more of a challenge. For one, they had an artificially intelligent A.I. capable of hacking even more computers than Alissa could. And their two senior members were experienced, both coming from the disbanded Titans North. She would have to be careful with them.

Which brought her back to why she was at the beach in the first place. She’d already laid out her strategy, now she just needed the trigger. Looking around the beach, she opened her mind to thoughts, finding two groups of big, muscle-bound, self-assured guys in Speedos on either side of the beach. Perfect. She quickly figured out which one would be more likely to do what she wanted, made her decision, and put her carefully formulated plan into action.

Hey, hot stuff. Over here.

Alissa would speak in one of the gangs’ leaders’ mind, inviting him to come over and make a move on her. As he looked for the source of the strange voice in his mind, she caught his eye and winked. That was enough for him, and he came strutting over, flexing his abs. Alissa giggled inwardly at how ridiculous he looked, but on the outside, she appeared to be a typical beach-going teenage girl in a bikini. As the man stopped next to her towel, the blonde’s eyes began to glow a bright white under her sunglasses. She was planting an illusion in the minds of the opposite gang, making them see the man standing next to her harassing a poor, defenceless 15-year-old girl. Her illusions were stronger when parts of them were reality, so she began screaming and shouting for the man to let her go.

‘Is there a problem here?’

The opposite gang’s leader walked over, giving a threatening look to the man now backing away from Alissa.

‘N-No…’ He started, but before he could continue, Alissa cut him off.

‘Yes! Help me, please! Get him away from me!’

The blonde’s voice was high-pitched and terrified, but she grinned inside as the two men confronted each other, both ready for a fight. Finding the most aggravated one, she gave his a push to start it. In his head, he heard a tiny voice, saying, Punch him! Punch him!

You’re a genius, Alissa told herself, as the men got into a fistfight. Soon enough, their two gangs joined in, and the beach was quickly turned into one big brawl. Screaming women and children ran towards Alissa, trying to get away from the fight.

Time to make this a real riot.

No longer hiding her delighted grin, Alissa’s eyes glowed an even brighter white. The people on the beach heard a series of gunshots and saw pillars of smoke rise around them as Alissa planted an illusion of a beach under attack in their minds. There was soon chaos, with civilians running madly around and yelling in fear.

Smiling and humming cheerily to herself, Alissa walked over to where her bag was, pulled out a pair of denim shorts and a singlet, and put them on over her white bikini. She found a spot relatively clear of sand and protected from the panicking people, and sat down. Remembering to prevent anyone from leaving the beach, to keep her little riot going, the girl added some mines around the perimeters of the beach to her mass hallucination. There might be some people around who could withstand her illusion, as it got weaker the more people saw it, but the majority would be fooled.

Now, all I have to do is wait.

Ben was in the water at the time of the events, having a good time and enjoying the waves while Kara had gone into town to go shopping. As he got back on the sandy beach, however, he would notice near the other side of it people were screaming and running around in fear.

"Well that can't be good?"

Thinking it was a shark attack or something, Ben would run across the sand into the havoc ready to go Suckermouth, but then would just see two groups fighting each other. As they did so, a woman would run past him screaming he's got a gun and a few others would say they could see bombs scattered all over the exits...

"Ok, I don't know what's going on; but, it's all gonna stop right now. Once all these people get a look Bendactyl, they'll see what they should really be afraid of."

Ben would then rotate the dial on the Omnitrix and push down on it's face plate. His body would then seem to vaporize and into a gaseous entity, which then surrounds itself with various bits of metal until the transformation was complete and GASKET was formed.

"Wait, Gasket? Awww man, not who I wanted, but that's ok. I can still make this work; well just have to turn down the thermostat a bit."

As Ben said this, he would hold out his metallic arms and fill the area with steam. The steam would exert from his body like a foggy cloud and after he was sure he had covered most of the place. He would lower the temperature of the haze, making the frantic crowd suddenly feel like they were inside a refrigerator and shiver in their bikinis and swim trunks. Though, they were still scared out of their minds and the gangs still wanted to fist fight. All of them were too cold to do so and stopepd being so frantic, even the screaming would stop as it was replaced with the sound of chattering teeth. As Gasket saw everyone start to chill out. He decide to lift the haze and suck the gas back into his metallic body-frame. Although, as he did the people started to move about again...

"Hey, can everybody just calm down for a sec and tell me what happened here?"

As Ben spoke with a muffled tone to his voice he would look about, searching for a guy armed with guns or even the bombs the people spoke of. But, alas he didn't see anyone in the crowd holding anything remotely dangerous?"

Alissa narrowed her eyes as Ben entered the scene. She wasn't very impressed. A ten-year-old kid? Though, he had some interesting powers. And he would most likely have some backup.

Well, gotta start to ball rolling somehow.

She altered her illusion slightly, including Ben in it and making it seem like the boy was being shot at. Ben was intelligent, but he was young and his mind was still developing. It wasn't too hard to fool. Alissa lost some of the smarter adults in the crowd in exchange for tricking Ben, but they didn't matter any more. Now, it was all about the heroes. Alissa hid herself, away from the panicking crowd but still out of sight, and waited for the child's teammates to come.

After saying this sentence, however, Ben would suddenly hear a gunshot in the crowd; causing them to all start scattering again. As they did so, he would flail his metal arms bout trying to calm the people down. Then the alien suddenly felt a bullet bounce off his armored body and immediately turned towards the direction he thought it came from.

"Ok, that's it. You wanna shoot at me? I'll show you some real fire power!!"

Gasket would then point his arm where he unknowinlgy imagined the bullet coming from and sends a blast of steam in that direction. The sudden gust of air would send beach towels, sand castles, plastic shovels and buckets, and even umbreallas/tents flying up into the air. But, again he saw no perpertraitor. Meanwhile in his head Ghostfreak would holler at the boy hero.

"Tennyson, you fool! Are you loosing your mind child, you are attacking NOTHING!?!"

"Shut up, just what the heck is going on here?"

Alissa silently snickered. This was finally getting interesting. And... oh, even better. The kid had another inside his head. But she could scare him off if she turned up the heat too much... And she wanted him to call for backup. Tricky. Making her decision, the blonde spoke in Ben's mind.

You have no idea what you're up against. You're clueless and you don't even completely control your own brain. You're finished.

Alissa hoped that would be enough to spook him into calling his team. She wanted some excitement, and she needed to know just how powerful these Titans were.

(C'mon, guys, someone else join in? The whole point of this topic is to convince Alissa she's not a match for the Titans on her own.)

OT: Lol ok Shadow I get your VERY anonymous tip lol calling Backup now.

"What the, who was that!?!"

As the voice spoke in Gasket's mind, he would fire steam in another direction hoping to flush out the being the voice belonged to. The gas he fired out this time was heated up and as it hit another beach umbrella, it melted it's metal base and burnt up the fabric a top of it. Immediately afterwards Ben would then try again in another direction, pivoting to the right and sending out another stream; except this time he miscalculated and accidentally fired into the crowd of frantic pedestrians. Many of them ducked and dodged as they saw the alien turn, but one of them wasn't quick enough and received a pretty bad burn on his deltoid.

"Oops, oh NO! What have I done?"

"Nice going boy, you're being outsmarted by a telepath."

Just as Ben realized what he had done, the watch would time out and he would revert back to his 10 year old self, before running over to the man wailing in pain and inpecting the burn he had given him; it was pretty bad.

"Calling all Titans, I-I need help at the beach ASAP. A man is injured, someone please help!"

Ben would talk into the Omnitrix as he said this, which worked as a communicator as well as a weapon; hoping someone would come and give him aid. All the while, he was still looking for the owner of the voice he heard.

The still calm of Alex's patrol of some of the sea side apartments along the beach was shattered when Ben's distress call blared through his communicator. Alex's eyes darted up and down the beach and he noticed that further down the shore line there were huge steam clouds rolling across the beach, as well as crowds of fleeing pedestrians.

" Got to borrow this, official Teen Titans business!"

Alex would yell to a bystander as he leapt on to the roof of their car. His power activated as he took a knee and touched the roof with his hand. Alex flew it off the road and barreled down the beach towards Ben.

" Ben, I'm on my way!"

As Alex made his way down the beach he noticed the lack of, well, everything. It was nothing but sand save for a few of the regular items associated with the beach.

This is gonna be interesting

(Uhm Alex, sorry if it wasn't clear enough but there are still people on the beach. O.o)

Alissa saw the other hero, probably the kid's teammate, arrive, but she wasn't satisfied. She wanted so see the whole team here, but she supposed she could only wait for them. Even though that was her best course of action, she was bored. She wanted a reaction from these people. Deciding she would show herself, just to see what they thought, Alissa walked leisurely out into the empty space between the two Titans and the panicking crowd.

'Well, well, well. What have we got here? A ten-year-old kid and his babysitter? How boring.'

The blonde yawned, intentionally trying to spark a response from the pair. Watching them carefully, she dispelled her original illusion and let the crowds see the situation for what it was; two Titans facing off against a seemingly harmless fifteen-year-old girl. The two Titans, though, were seeing something a little more... exciting.

Alissa had created a new illusion, just for the two of them, and she had pried into their minds to make it a little more personal. Ben would sense a hostile presence behind him and spin around to find Argorox rearing up in attack mode. Figuring that would keep both Ben and Alex occupied, not to mention confuse Ghostfreak completely, the cunning girl searched for the thoughts of more Teen Titans rushing to Ben's and Alex's aid.

Ben could be seen knelt down on the sandy beach. He had ripped part of his own swimming trunks off and placed it on the pedestrian's burn. The man laid scarred and breathing heavily on the hot sand as he tried not to scream out form the rather serious pain, which no doubt had a high-chance of getting an infection every moment it was not treated. The young hero was doing all he could to stop this of course, but realized it was all his fault in the first place. A tear would roll down his cheek as he looked at the burned man he himself inured.

"I'm sooo sorry. *sniffle*"

Ben would look down after saying this, having gotten no reponse from the man who seemed to still be hullucinating hismelf, but in quiet murmurs. Then suddenly, a car could be seen off roading down the beach towards the frenzying crowd and rolled right up to Ben. The kid on top of it he recognized to be his fellow teammate Push and with a bit of relief in his voice, Ben would great Alex as he approached the much younger Titan.

"Boy am I glad to see you but, watch out. There's a guy with a gun out here and I haven't been able to spot him yet. He's taken a few of shots at me and the crowd; and when I tried to hit him back, I accidentally caught this guy by mistake."

Ben would look ashamed as he said this and before Alex was able to really answer him, a girl would seem to just appear out of thin air and walk inbetween the two and ridiculing them both, but Ben especially. Ben could only assume that there was no guy with a gun and it was this girl who had been shooting at him the whole time. By the way she just popped up out of nowhere, he guessed she could turn invisible. Though, Ghostfreak thought otherwise...

"ARRRAAAGh!! Are you dense CHILD!?! She's not able to camouflage or hide herself as you human's say, she's obviously a---"

But, before Ghostfreak could finish his thought to Ben, the boy would notice her dissappear and then spun around as he saw a dark silhouette appear behind him and block out the ocne radiant summer sun.

"Wait, I know that shadow anywhere...Argorox!?!!"

Ben would then turn to see the body frame of the fiery tempered alien, he was alive and still sported the dagger like hole in his chest from when Spykeback had skewered him.

"This-this is not possible, I took the life from this being myself, he no longer wlaks amoung the lving. Leaving only one reason for his exsitence at this point in time. Tennyson, you must listen to me!"

"Sorry, a little busy right now!"

Ben would think his last statement to Ghostfreak, before exclaiming 'Look Out' to Alex. For at that moment, without speakign a word Argorox would unveil his trademark flaming whip and lash it at Ben, who dived out of the way just in time; rolling across the sand and then getting back on two feet. After which time, he checked the Omnitrix...It was still recharging, Ben was was sstuck in the hot seat and at the moment that was the last place he wanted to be. Argorox not wanting to forget Push as well, would fire a wave of fire from his free palm at him next. The lava like alien seeming to have no words for either of them, but it wasn't hard to imagine his motive; it would have to be revenge. Meanwhile, people who had the illusion from before lifted from them would see the Titan's swarm the innocent girl and figured one of them had caused all this. Many of the beach goers had already saw Ben attack that unnarmed man, I mean who was to say he wasn't the cause of all this trouble in the first place?

" It was an accident Ben. Between a burn and a stray bullet in all that steam I'd say it could have been alot worse."

Alex was impressed that Ben reacted so quickly in administering first aid, but he could tell that this didn't even register as injuring the man had left it's impression on the young boy.
A shooter being able to spot, let alone target Ben, in that steam would have taken an unbelivable amount of skill....what are we dealing with here? Alex's train of thought was interrupted as he turned to see a small girl step before them. She seemed to be quite full of herself and very condesending towards the two.

" Baby sitter? What are you, nin-"

Before Alex could continue the child vanished and he turned to find Ben talking to himself just as a whip engulfed in flames lashed out towards him, he'd hear Ben's warning as he evaded the enemies attack. Alex would call the vehicle into the air in front of himself to block against the monster's firey attack.

" I think he's slinging a little more than lead Ben!"

Ben would lay down in the sand trying to get the omnitrix to start up again, while Push took the brunt of Argorox's onslaught. Ben turned it sideways, left, right, 180 degrees, 360 degrees, and anything else he could think of until FINALLY the faceplate would pup back up; and not a moment to soon. For while he was messing with the watch, the side of the car Alex was holding up appearingly melted away like sludge, from the streaming flames that flowed from Argorox's palm. The alien would then switch back to his whip, wielding it high into the air until it cracked and embers sparked out of it's tip, then bringing it down hard across the vehicle. The whip of course being near as hot as molten lava itself would slice through the vehicle's hull like a chain saw through a tree in Alex's mind. When in all actuality, it was completely intact still. Though, the allusion made him think that the whip had completely sliced off the front half of the machine. Argorox would then put his palm forward again and get ready to fire another heat blast, when a green light would suddenly flash from behind him. It was Ben in Bendactyl form, and before the lava alien could mount an attack against the large flying reptilian dinosaur, Ben flapped his swings extremely hard. Sending up dust clouds and a hard wind that was even pushing back some of the waves that would've otherwise came crashing into shore.

Alissa watched in satisfaction, but a moment later she winced as she realised her powers were straining. The older Titan was no fool, and his mind was fighting the illusion. She couldn't keep this up much longer.

Gritting her teeth, Alissa changed the illusion so that to Ben, Alex was Argorox. All the older man saw was a superpowered ten-year-old attacking him for no apparent reason.

That should work, for a while, Alissa told herself.

Unfortunately for her, Ghostfreak was still inside Ben's mind, with the knowledge of telepaths and possibly illusionists. Little did she know he was already trying to tell the young Titan that Argorox was only an illusion, created by the harmless-looking 15-year-old girl who had insulted him so casually.

It felt different, something wasn't right. Alex knew his powers quite thoroughly and two seperate, smaller peices shouldn't be pulling more focus or more energy as their whole. And odder still it felt as if he was expending the same amount as before. Something's definitly wrong here, but what? Before Alex was able to get a good look at the car the monster had gone on the offensive again, but only to be swept up in Ben's gusty upheavel caused by his new form.

" Nice one, B-"

Alex noticed Ben was now coming for him.

Model Eleven stepped onto the beach. He had heard Ben's call for help and had come as fast as he could. It was clear this beach was experiencing something strange. Some people were shivering, some people were fighting, some were running and screaming, and Ben was trying to kill Push.

Evan, being an AI, was not effected by mental illusions. He had no idea why these people were acting so strangely.

Evan tried to communicate with Ben, but he was too preoccupied fighting Push. There was only one person on this beach who was acting normal. The teenage girl was sitting calmly and watching the events unfold. Evan had dealt with mind-control before, with Aphrodite. This situation seemed to point towards something similar.

Evan walked over to the girl. His black pants and green sweater a dead give-away on the beach. "Excuse me, miss. Could you explain this situation?"

Meanwhile, Bendactyl would soar towards Argorox and try to swat the alien with his right wing; unknowingly to him, it was actually his fellow teammate push and as the Titan ducked the swing from Ben, he would send the car from earlier into Ben's midsection in self-defense. In the boy's mind, however, this would translate into him being hit by Argorox's flaming whip head on; sending the flying dinosaur skidding across the sand and as the morphed child regained his footing, he would screech at his opponent; bellowing out a long super sonic noise. The contents of which was like that of Black Canary's, the sound-wave was direct and flew towards Push like a strong gust of wind itself, causing a cloud of sand to fly into the air in it's wake.
