Wake Up Naughty Children (Moon)

Fen thought he was ready, but the more he thought about her going for his legs the more he put himself at her mercy. He reached to catch her, but she caught his arm and at that point... he wasn't even sure what happened. All he knew is that when it settled, he found himself in the dirt again, confused.

"What the..." Then the sound of laughing came. The spectators were cracking up, and he spotted Targon shaking his head with a chuckle. Fen wasn't sure what happened, but he'd guessed that Ella got one over on him again. He was starting to feel a fool. His pride wasn't liking it.

When he got up this time, it was with a growl and a glare. She was trained, yeah, but he was... bigger! Yeah!

He charged this time, lowering his shoulder and getting ready to throw his weight at the problem. If he could get on top, he knew he had this in the bag.

His plan had worked, and he was on top. She cracked a joke about his priorities, and he sent a cocky smirk her way. He realized how nice this position was for him. He'd have to make sure to try it again later. Then she got even more into it, whispering sweet nothings into his ear. He was putty in her hands.

Then he found himself in the dirt again. Dang. He got played. "That was dirty..."

As he got up, the crowd was still laughing. He wondered if any of the werewolves could hear what she whispered to him. Werewolves were supposed to have super hearing, weren't they? He pushed himself against the ground, getting up again. If there was one thing he was good at, it was getting thrown around. An admirable trait.

This time he approached a little slower, not wanting to end up on his rear again. He tried being defensive, then tried throwing his weight around. He was running out of ideas.

She was goading him. He knew that, but it was working. He was frustrated and that was easy to notice. He started his advance, this time not going for a tackle and trying some boxing. He'd seen that on TV. He was fast and lean, floating like a butterfly and stinging like a truck.

"Don't be mad if I do." He shot back as he threw a haymaker towards her gut. He felt bad, but didn't honestly expect to hit her. If she dodged, he'd try to grab her arm with his free hand. If he limited her movement, he'd be in a good spot.

Fen was pretty easy to predict. When she fell from his hit, he'd immediately be heading towards her. He felt absolutely terrible. He'd hurt his girlfriend! That's not what he was trying to do! Well, it was... but he was supposed to miss! The people in the crowd started cheering for him, having finally landed a hit, but quieted down when he went to her, concerned. "Hey, you okay? I'm so-"

He found himself on his back. Again. This was becoming a common thing, quickly. This one had knocked the wind out of him, making him more dazed. The crowd would be laughing at poor Fen again. He responded with a snarl and a glare. "That... was dirty."

He mumbled again, getting up a little slower this time. He sent her a frown and an 'I'm sick of your crap' look. He was. This was going to go on for hours, and Fen knew in the back of his head he was going to be made a fool of quite a few more times before he learned anything.

This time he'd let her come at him again, if only to catch his breath.

She seemed to think that catching his breath made him weak. It did not. When she charged him, trying to take him on up front finally he raised a brow. She was bold. He caught her fist with ease, years of catching footballs making it easy. Then he took a challenging step into her personal space and wore a cocky grin, yanking her hips into his.

"If you wanted to get close, all you had to do was ask." He teased, looking down at her. His hold was tight, he wondered if she'd be able to wiggle out. "If she can't get loose, does that mean I win?"

He was confident now, as he spoke to Targon.

Fen rolled his eyes at her calling him a show off. She'd just flipped him through the air with her thighs! Not that he was complaining... but if anyone was showing off it was her. He let out a satisfied sigh, though, knowing he'd managed to win at least one of the trades before they quit. "Anything you say, love."

Before letting her go, he gave her a quick kiss on the lips to show there was no hard feelings. Targon chuckled from above, calling for one of the men to get the "lovebirds" of of the cage for some well earned rest. They'd been training for hours, and needed a break to avoid injury anyway.

-Next Morning-

Fen woke early, which was usual for him. He felt so... warm. It was nice, and to be honest he didn't feel like ever waking up. Feeling Ella nuzzle into him, he smirked, pulling her tight and kissing her head. "Morning, Love."

Their lovely morning was interrupted by a pounding on the door. "Wake up, kids! There's trouble."

Targon pushed the door open with force, but seeing the two in bed, and clothes scattered around he let out a snort of disgust. "Get your clothes on. It's time for a real fight."

If the banging and Targon barging in wasn't enough to get Fen alert, Ella's squeal was. He winced at the sound, but quickly recovered when she got up without any clothes on. "Uh... huh..."

Shaking his head to escape the distraction, he got up himself and searched for clothes. The situation didn't sound as urgent as Targon expressed, but these people seemed to do things strangely. For them, preparing for might be as casual as making breakfast. Fen took a few more glances at Ella, smirking as he passed her clothes. "I love you."

He had a habit of blurting that out when he found himself in situations like this. After being fully dressed and finally finding his hat, Fenrir led them outside. It seemed something was indeed happening. It was still dark, but the shimmering of the werewolves eyes proved that they were there. And they were getting ready.

"The Cult is planning another attack. Our patrol saw it and reported back. When they get here, they'll have another thing coming. You brats should try to stay in back and let us handle it. If we're lucky, they'll think you died in this battle and leave you alone."

The sight of shadows on the treeline could be made out. Whatever was happening was going to happen soon.
